We had the pleasure of meeting lee today and what a difference in just one session! I've taken my dog for a walk this evening using the tips and techniques he shown me and what a difference it has made. My dog is now listening to me even when dogs are present which i didnt think was possible. Highly recommend! Thank you!!
A very infomative session. Lots of lessons learned and appreciated. As Lee says its the humans that need training . We know that if we need any further support Lee is there to lead us in the right direction
I am delighted with the results I got from Lee helping me with Jax. I knew it was my fault I was making Jax reactive, however stopping was difficult, if your nervous your dog knows! The ability Lee has with dogs is second to none, his ability with people is fantastic! I have been on more of a journey than Jax if I am honest. I cannot recommed Lee enough I really can't, he made it seem like magic, I can't believe what we achieved. Thank you so much Lee from us all esp. Jax
Understood our needs immediately and observed our puppy’s behaviour excellently to give us a bespoke training plan. Couldn’t have been happier with the professionalism and comfort in knowing that the training we will now provide will help our puppy develop the right way.
He was very friendly and gave very good advice, advised we can get in touch anytime if we need any further help. Also sent more information to help via wasap.

Serving areas including High Street West, the Bridges Shopping Centre district, and riverside locations near the Stadium of Light, we've successfully trained over 1,800 dogs throughout Sunderland in the past eight years. Our expertise addresses city-specific challenges from navigating busy Fawcett Street to enjoying walks along the River Wear.
Sunderland City Centre presents distinct training requirements shaped by its mix of urban development, historic landmarks, and waterfront areas. Dogs need to handle traffic noise along Holmeside, crowds during match days near the Stadium of Light, and the diverse stimuli around Keel Square and the Bridges Shopping Centre. Our trainers specialise in building confidence around Metro services at Park Lane Interchange and managing behaviour in busy pedestrian areas.
With limited private garden space in many city centre flats and apartments, dogs rely heavily on nearby Mowbray Park and Riverside walks for exercise, making excellent recall and public manners essential. We address the challenges of high-rise living, shared communal spaces, and the need for dogs who can coexist peacefully with neighbours in close-quarter urban housing.
Our puppy programmes focus on the critical 8-16 week socialisation period, introducing young dogs to Sunderland's urban environment including traffic sounds, Metro trains, and city centre crowds. Training covers flat-appropriate house training, crate training for limited spaces, and essential commands. Socialisation sessions help puppies develop confidence around other dogs and people in locations like Mowbray Park.
City centre living often reveals reactivity issues on busy pavements and shared spaces. Our modification programmes address leash reactivity, barrier frustration in apartments, and fear-based responses using positive reinforcement techniques. We work in real-world environments along the riverside and near the Civic Centre to build tolerance gradually.
For dogs progressing beyond basics, we develop reliable recall and public behaviour essential for city living. Training includes settling in dog-friendly cafés, navigating crowds during events, and travelling calmly on the Metro. This prepares dogs for Sunderland's active urban lifestyle.
Dog training in Sunderland typically ranges from £35-65 per hour for private sessions. Package deals for 6-8 weeks average £240-450, while group classes cost £10-18 per session. Puppy courses spanning six weeks average £120-220, offering excellent value for comprehensive early training.
Yes, dogs can be trained for Metro travel, which is permitted on Tyne and Wear Metro services. Training involves gradual exposure to station environments, platform activity, and carriage movement. Most dogs require 4-6 sessions to become comfortable, starting at quieter times at Park Lane or St Peter's stations before progressing to busier periods.
Begin training immediately when bringing your puppy home, typically around 8 weeks old. The critical socialisation window between 8-16 weeks makes early exposure to Sunderland's urban environment essential. However, dogs of any age benefit from training, with adult and rescue dogs capable of learning new behaviours regardless of their history.
