About IBK9 Training
Built by a dog owner, for dog owners across the UK.
Khushboo Sharma
Founder & Creator
Dog owner and founder of IBK9 Training, on a mission to make it easier for every UK dog owner to find a trainer they can actually trust, because she knows first-hand how hard that search can be.
Why I Built IBK9 Training
The idea for IBK9 Training started with my Golden Retriever. Like every new dog owner, I wanted the best possible start for him, proper socialisation, solid obedience, and a trainer I could genuinely trust with his wellbeing. What I didn't expect was how hard that would be to find.
I spent weeks searching online, comparing websites that told me almost nothing useful, and trying to work out who was actually qualified versus who just had a nice-looking page. It shouldn't be that difficult to find good help for your dog,so I decided to build the resource I wished I'd had.
The Problem I Found
- •Listings were often outdated, pointing to trainers who'd long stopped taking new clients
- •There was no easy way to compare training methods, qualifications or specialisms side by side
- •Owners dealing with reactivity or behavioural issues had nowhere clear to turn
- •Search results rarely matched what people actually needed: a trainer near them, for their specific situation
Turning a Frustration Into IBK9 Training
That frustration is what pushed me to build IBK9 Training,a single, honest directory where any dog owner in the UK can search by location and training style, and compare trainers before reaching out directly. No more guesswork, no more dead ends.
IBK9 Training is still growing, one trainer profile and one happy dog owner at a time, but the goal has stayed exactly the same since the day I started: make it simple to find someone you can trust.
Our Mission
To make high-quality, ethical dog training accessible to every dog owner in the UK. We believe a well-trained dog is a happier dog, and that starts with connecting owners to trainers they can trust, vetted for qualifications, transparent about methods, and easy to compare, all in one place.
What Makes Us Different
Built by a Real Dog Owner
I use this site the same way you would, searching for a trainer I'd trust with my own dog.
Vetted, Not Just Listed
Every trainer confirms their qualifications and experience before they're added to the directory.
Positive, Ethical Methods First
We prioritise trainers who use modern, science-based, reward-led training.
Every Training Style, One Place
From puppy classes to residential programmes, compare it all without hopping between ten sites.
How It Works
Finding the right support has never been easier. Our platform is designed to be straightforward and user-friendly.
- 1 Search and Discover: Use our Find a Service page to explore training types, or our Find a Trainer page to locate professionals in your area.
- 2 View Detailed Profiles: Review comprehensive profiles that include biographies, services offered, qualifications, and contact information.
- 3 Connect Directly: Reach out to the trainer of your choice to book a session or ask questions. There are no middlemen and no hidden fees.
