Our new puppy Barney enjoyed his classes with Tracy who was excellent. He learned a lot and so did we.
Vlad is a nervous boy - and we've gotten further than ever before to clipping his nails!
Claire has been excellent with our rescue dog Marlie. We attended one on one lessons with Claire. Helping to work on and improve her recall and reactive behaviours. Claire helped improve confidence for Marlie but also us. We also attended a 4 week focus and engagement class with Claire which we saw massive improvements in Marlie. The class is fun, relaxed and only has 4 dogs per session. Claire is understanding, friendly and really focuses on what is going to help your dog. We have planned to continue to work with Claire.
Very enjoyable experience myself & my golden Labrador enjoyed her time learning new tricks and lose lead walking and meeting people she’s more confident now and also recommended lothlorien dog training to anyone needing brush up on training or teach dog new things :)

Our 2 dogs love Pawtropolis, the team are fabulous!
Great service. Friendly, and caring. Doogee comes home happy but worn out !
Day care for dogs. They offer half day or full day sessions. Dogs get a chance to play, solve puzzles/stimulating tasks, fitness, naps and feeding times. The staff are amazing with the animals. The venue is large enough with indoor and outdoor space. Great value for money.

We rescued our Mastiff Moose in February and booked Claire for a 1 to 1 session to help us with handling our big excitable young boy on the lead. We've had 3 sessions so far and Claire has been fantastic at helping us understand Moose and she has given us lots of advice and things to work on. A very knowledgeable, calm and understanding trainer who I'd highly recommend if you need some support with your dog.
Met with Claire twice for 1-on-1 sessions with our then 6 month old Labrador to work on good walking behaviours. Claire was very thorough and gave lots of great advice which she would then email in a report for future reference. I am so pleased to say that each week Cassie (now 8.5 months) makes more and more good choices on her walks, and today's morning walk she was an absolute dream 10/10! So proud of her hard work with Claire's training, thanks Claire!
Claire is amazing and knowledgeable! I was nervous at first because our dog is HUGE and very powerful but I am so happy with results this far. Can’t wait to keep implementing what I’ve learned so far and get another 1-1 booked for outside work! Thanks so much :)
Claire gave an excellent 1st time session of over 2 hours, which I totally understood everything. With a follow up report on what her findings were for the 3 dogs, and how to move forward with their barking. I have already put some into place and can start to see a small difference already. Thank you Claire. See you in a few weeks.
We contacted Claire when our Labrador reached 13months old and going for a walk was no longer enjoyable (and often dangerous). Claire was really friendly and knowledgeable and talked us through the behaviours our dog displayed. She left us with a number of things to try which have changed his behaviour and made walking him enjoyable again. I would highly recommend Claire and we are very grateful for her help and knowledge with our dog.

So glad I joined safe paws. I had such an anxious little pup who couldn't stand to be away from me, now he can't wait to get into the centre in the mornings. Really changed his life! So grateful to all the staff and everything they have done to help him. Can't recommend them enough!

I attended the Essential Canine First Aid course with James as our tutor. A great course which I would definitely recommend for any dog owner or dog professional. I certainly left the course feeling more confident and knowledgeable to handle any emergency canine situation should it arise.
A must for any dog owner. James was very knowledgeable, friendly and patient. Gives you confidence to deal with doggy first aid until you can get your dog to a vet. Everyone with a dog should do it. Took 3 hours and didn’t cost a fortune. Great course.
Had training last week for a new job, training was clear and professional. Instructor went above and beyond adding addition information.
Fantastic course with great insight and friendly staff
Finding experienced dog trainers in Falkirk means connecting with professionals who understand the unique needs of Central Scotland's historic town. From training puppies near the iconic Falkirk Wheel to managing reactive dogs along the Union Canal towpaths, our certified trainers deliver personalised obedience training, behaviour modification, and puppy socialisation programmes tailored to local conditions. Serving all areas including Larbert, Stenhousemuir, Grangemouth, and Bo'ness, we've successfully trained over 1,800 dogs across the Falkirk Council area in the past eight years.
Falkirk presents distinct training requirements shaped by its mix of urban areas, country parks, and historic sites. The extensive network of canal paths, Callendar Park, and Kinneil Estate provides excellent training environments but requires dogs to master recall around wildlife, cyclists, and walkers. Our trainers specialise in addressing local challenges including desensitising dogs to the busy High Street, navigating Falkirk Stadium crowds, and building confidence around the unique attractions like the Kelpies and Antonine Wall sites that draw visitors year-round.
Our puppy training focuses on the critical 8-16 week socialisation window, introducing young dogs to Falkirk's environment including traffic noise, canal boats, and diverse surfaces found throughout local estates. Training covers house training, crate training, bite inhibition, and essential commands, with controlled sessions in Callendar Park helping puppies develop confidence around other dogs and people.
Popular walking routes along the Union Canal and Forth and Clyde Canal often reveal reactivity issues. Our programmes address leash reactivity, fear-based responses, and resource guarding using positive reinforcement techniques. Progressive training in locations like Dollar Park and Zetland Park builds tolerance, replacing unwanted behaviours with calm focus even when encountering other dogs on narrow towpaths.
For dogs progressing beyond basics, we develop off-lead control essential for safely enjoying spaces like Muiravonside Country Park and Kinneil Woods. Training builds reliable recall despite distractions including wildlife and other dogs, incorporating distance commands and emergency stops suitable for both quiet residential streets and busier areas near Falkirk Town Centre.
Dog training in Falkirk typically ranges from £35-65 per hour for private sessions, with 6-8 week packages costing £240-450. Group classes generally cost £10-18 per session, while puppy courses average £120-220. Specialist behaviour consultations range from £50-80 for initial assessments, with many trainers offering free phone consultations to discuss your dog's needs.
Begin training immediately when bringing your puppy home around 8 weeks old. The critical socialisation window between 8-16 weeks makes early exposure to Falkirk's environment essential. Puppies can join group classes after initial vaccinations at 10-12 weeks, though adult dogs and rescues benefit from training at any age.
Addressing reactivity requires systematic desensitisation and counter-conditioning. Identify your dog's threshold distance and work at ranges where they remain calm, gradually decreasing distance over multiple sessions. Using longer leads and visiting during quieter times helps, with most dogs showing improvement within 6-10 weeks of consistent training.
Professional dog training in Falkirk strengthens the bond with your canine companion while ensuring they thrive in Central Scotland's unique environment. Our proven methods combine evidence-based techniques with local knowledge, creating confident, well-mannered dogs ready to enjoy everything from canal walks to town centre visits.
