Brilliant place to leave your dogs...
Always leave my dogs here when I'm away as I know they will be safe and well looked after ☺️

Have recently left my 2 dogs into Mucky Pups for a full groom and was really pleased with the service provided. The owner is very friendly and obviously a complete dog lover as Jonny and Lila were both very content and happy when I returned.
This place is amazing I highly recommend. My 13 year old springer spaniel is an outdoor farm dog and has never been to the groomers before and he has come out looking like a new dog. She spent extra time with him as it was his first ever groom and did an amazing job. Thank you so much.

Michael was fantastic with our Yorkshire Terrier. She was extremely troublesome but he assured me she would make a cracking wee dog. He was dead right! She's 10 years old now and an absolute darling! We couldn't have got through it without him, can't reccomend highly enough x

Great dog training
Finding qualified dog trainers in Keady means connecting with professionals who understand the unique needs of rural County Armagh dog ownership. From training working dogs on local farms to managing reactive rescue dogs in Keady town centre, our experienced trainers deliver personalised obedience training, behaviour modification, and puppy socialisation programmes tailored to this close-knit community.
Serving Keady and surrounding areas including Darkley, Annaghmore, and Derrycreevy, we've successfully trained over 450 dogs throughout South Armagh in recent years. Our expertise addresses both rural and town challenges, from recall training near Keady Lakes to lead manners along Market Street.
Keady presents distinct training requirements shaped by its rural character and agricultural heritage. Dogs here often encounter livestock, wildlife, and working farm environments that demand reliable recall and impulse control. The town's compact centre along Thomas Street and Church Street requires excellent lead manners, while surrounding countryside offers ideal training environments at locations like Lisanally Lane and the Callan River walks.
Our trainers understand local considerations including livestock awareness for dogs accessing farmland, socialisation in smaller community settings, and the specific needs of popular working breeds like Border Collies and Springer Spaniels common throughout the area. We address challenges unique to rural dog ownership while building confident, well-adjusted companions suitable for both town and country living.
Our puppy programmes establish solid foundations during the critical 8-16 week period. We introduce young dogs to Keady's environment including farm animals, agricultural machinery, and town centre activity. Training covers house training, crate training, basic commands, and controlled socialisation that prepares puppies for life in this rural community.
Essential for Keady's rural setting, our livestock training teaches dogs to ignore sheep, cattle, and poultry. We develop bombproof recall despite distractions, ensuring dogs can safely enjoy countryside walks without chasing livestock. This training protects local farming operations while giving dogs freedom to explore safely.
We address reactivity issues through systematic behaviour modification. Using positive reinforcement, we help dogs learn calm responses to triggers encountered in Keady's parks and streets, building tolerance and replacing unwanted behaviours with focus and self-control.
Dog training in Keady typically costs £35-60 per hour for private sessions, with 6-week programmes averaging £200-350. Group classes range from £10-18 per session. Many trainers offer free initial consultations and provide mobile services throughout South Armagh at no additional charge.
Yes, livestock training is essential in rural Keady. We use systematic desensitisation and positive reinforcement to teach reliable recall around sheep, cattle, and poultry. Most dogs show significant improvement within 6-8 weeks, though the timeline varies based on the dog's age, breed, and previous exposure to livestock.
