Caroline has been fantastic in helping us with Dennis. He'd had long-standing reactivity to dogs, people and bikes but working with Caroline provided an incremental approach to help Dennis be less anxious and reactive. We still have work to do but he is such a calmer boy now than ever before. Thanks Caroline for all of your help. We coildnt have done it without you.
This is the second time I’ve used Caroline, with different dogs. Her advice & expertise is amazing. Very free & easy to talk to, with lots of great advice. Highly recommend 😇
Caroline has been incredibly helpful for me and my partner helping to settle our 1.5 year old Mini Schnauzer. We were having issues with stressful walks and separation anxiety whilst leaving the house, and a massive uncertainty around conflicting information online on how to deal with it. Caroline was amazing at helping us learn how to understand our dog's behavior and how best to deal with it, and giving us useful tools on training. Caroline gave clear, judgement free advice and followed strictly humane and ethical training advice. We'd happily recommend her service to anyone needing a little help with their dogs!
Caroline (from Gooddoggie Canine Behaviour Specialist and Educator) was brought in to help with our reactive foster dog Lucy and we have just finished our fourth session over a period of three months. Caroline spent time getting to know Lucy and accompanying us on walks to see how she could best help. She was quickly able to identify and explain Lucy's behaviours around other dogs and recommend techniques and training we could use on a daily basis to improve this. Understanding Lucy better gave us more confidence taking her out. We learned about reading her body language and how to build up her confidence. Seeing Caroline for a few sessions allowed her to see how Lucy was progressing and offer help for any problems that had come up since the last visit. Caroline was also happy to be contacted any time if we had a question and was delighted to receive updates on Lucy's progress. Lucy's reactivity has definitely improved and she is becoming much calmer near other dogs most of the time. We have even had a couple of happy accidents when off-lead dogs ran up to her and she responded well to them. The training will take time and patience but we recognise the small steps in progress she is making along the way. Not every encounter with a dog will be calm, but it is getting better and we are feeling more confident in these situations. Caroline's calm and friendly personality, along with her extensive knowledge and experience make her a fantastic behaviour specialist and educator and we would highly recommend her to other dog owners. She has greatly improved Lucy's behaviour (and enhanced her quality of life) as well as giving us the confidence and strategies to keep moving us both in the right direction.
Thank you Caroline Our rescue patterdale jock is now able to approach other dogs to socialise. This has only happened with your help over 6 sessions, something we thought could never happen

I couldn’t recommend Alex enough. After trying a couple of other dog trainers and not seeing results, I finally found Alex and everything changed. She gave me the tools and knowledge I needed to train my dogs, and because of that, they’re in a much better place than they were before. More importantly, I truly enjoy my relationship with them now and I’ve gained so much confidence as a dog owner. It’s all thanks to Alex and her amazing guidance.
Fantastic dog training - their scent work classes are fantastic. Highly recommend them.
Such an amazing community at ADW Dog Training. Our dog has been attending day training with Jenni and we now have a better relationship with her as shes so keen to work, train and engage with us. We also attend classes and Alex is a super knowledgable trainer and always finding ways to help us progress in fulfilling our dog. Our dog is so excited when we pull up to the unit and cant wait to see the girls. The girls always put all the dogs needs first and ensure we know everything theyve done that day. So glad we found Alex, Jenni and ADW.
Alex and the team are absolutely amazing!!!!! Go out their way to help and give so much useful information about all things dog related. Jack loves going to day care and he is so well looked after with plenty pictures and videos. All the training is brilliant.

Murphy in every week. Loves meeting his friends.
Dan & Shelly run Dundee doggy daycare, and you couldn't meet a nicer couple. They build a relationship with every pooch in their pack and show real care for the pups in their care. Really nice people who will take great care of your fluffy family while you are working. I could not recommend them highly enough.
Very good with the dogs .

Just want to say Craig is a real asset to have when you have a dog and especially when you’re a first time owner. He teaches you without being judgemental and our dog Harris absolutely loves him. We’ve used so much of what Craig has taught us and we’ve been seeing a real difference in our dog. Highly recommend Craig.
Paid £325.00 for 4 one to one sessions with my dog and 6 Group sessions, I was Only able to attend 1 , one to one session with my dog because of family circumstances, text the owner about a refund and never got a reply. The owner replies on here below but for two days now I have been texting him with my details, dogs name etc still no reply and he says he doesn't know If I was signed up, believe me I was signed up the day my £325.00 hit his bank account.
Paid for 10 lessons only got 7 without any explanation I tried on numerous occasions to contact him no reply very disappointed also I did cancel the lesson in plenty time and never received any communication from you I received email to rebook and honour the other 3 lessons just couple days ago I emailed you yet no reply why ?
Had dogs all my days and have always trained them myself. Have 2 spaniels, the 2nd of which struggles with recall, eventually to the point I reached out to Craig for some one-to-one training. We met in Dawson Park and within minutes he identified the issues and started showing me different techniques that I’d not used before, some really obvious things and some not so obvious. Within 2 lessons and 15 minutes a day practice, my dog’s recall has improved beyond my expectations and I am now working with Craig on some other commands, cannot recommend enough, Craig really knows his dogs and how to motivate them (and you) to get the very best from the dog.
Finding qualified dog trainers in Dundee City Centre connects you with professionals who understand the unique challenges of urban dog ownership in Scotland's fourth-largest city. From training puppies near the waterfront at Discovery Point to managing reactive dogs along the bustling Reform Street, our certified trainers deliver personalised obedience training, behaviour modification, and puppy socialisation programmes tailored to city centre living.
Serving all DD1 postcode areas including the West End, Hilltown, and Stobswell, we've successfully trained over 1,800 dogs across central Dundee in the past eight years. Our expertise addresses the specific demands of dog ownership in this vibrant area, from navigating crowds at the Overgate Shopping Centre to enjoying off-lead exercise at Baxter Park and Magdalen Green.
Dundee City Centre presents distinct training requirements shaped by its mix of tenement flats, riverside developments, and busy commercial areas. The city's compact layout means dogs regularly encounter other canines along popular routes including the Riverside Esplanade, through Slessor Gardens, and around Dundee Law, making proper socialisation and recall training essential for peaceful walks.
Our trainers specialise in desensitising dogs to urban stimuli including buses along High Street, crowds near Dundee Contemporary Arts, and the unique sounds from the V&A Museum area. We understand local transport requirements, ensuring dogs can confidently travel on buses and trains from Dundee Station. With housing predominantly consisting of Victorian tenements and modern flats, many city centre residents need dogs with excellent public manners and the ability to live harmoniously in close-quarter communities.
Our puppy programmes focus on building confidence during the critical 8-16 week socialisation period. We introduce young dogs to Dundee's urban environment including exposure to Tay Bridge traffic noise, crowds at City Square, and the varied surfaces throughout Perth Road and Nethergate. Training covers flat-appropriate house training, crate training for limited space, and essential commands. Controlled sessions at Baxter Park help puppies develop confidence around other dogs, children, and the city's diverse activities.
City centre walking routes often reveal reactivity issues. Our behaviour modification addresses leash reactivity on narrow tenement stairwells, barrier frustration in ground-floor flats, and fear-based responses. Using positive reinforcement, we help dogs learn calm responses to triggers along busy Albert Street or the Wellgate Steps, replacing lunging and barking with focus and self-control.
For progressing dogs, our advanced training develops reliable off-lead control for safely enjoying Camperdown Park and Magdalen Green. We build dependable recall despite distractions, distance commands, and sophisticated lead work for navigating busy areas like Murraygate and Commercial Street. Dogs learn to settle in dog-friendly cafés, ignore street food, and maintain composure in crowded areas, essential skills for Dundee's welcoming hospitality scene.
Dog training in Dundee City Centre typically ranges from £35-65 per hour for private sessions. Group classes cost £10-18 per session, while comprehensive puppy courses spanning six weeks average £120-220. Many trainers offer free initial phone consultations, and mobile services mean no additional travel costs for home visits throughout DD1 areas.
Begin training immediately when bringing your puppy home at around 8 weeks old. The vital 8-16 week socialisation window makes early exposure to Dundee's urban environment crucial. Puppies can join group classes after initial vaccinations at approximately 10-12 weeks, though dogs of all ages benefit from professional training.
Professional dog training in Dundee City Centre strengthens your bond with your canine companion while ensuring they thrive in this compact, friendly city. Our proven methods combine evidence-based techniques with intimate knowledge of Dundee's characteristics, creating confident dogs capable of enjoying everything from riverside walks to cultural venues. Whether you live in a West End tenement or a Waterfront apartment, investing in professional training ensures your dog becomes the reliable companion you've always wanted.
