Fantastic trainer, patient and kind
We started taking our puppy 2 weeks ago. We are getting better results with cues, tips on behaviour, and advice on building the confidence of our pup and us. Tamara is amazing
Questions not applicable as it is a puppy training course. Fantastic information and any questions answered on a group or individual basis.
Fabulous dog trainer. Can perform miracles!
We took our black Labrador puppy to Propups puppy classes. We not only thoroughly enjoyed the classes but felt they gave us the tools we need to raise Rosie correctly. It was also great to be able to get advice and support from the trainers during the class on other issues we were experiencing. We will be signing up for graduate classes to continue the learning!

Have used Emma on a 1-1 basis on a couple of occasions and also attended her classes. Her knowledge is amazing and her help with some issues have been invaluable . Highly recommend to anyone looking for help with training or behaviours that need addressing Emma is that person 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Attending the practical puppy course. The course was informative and fun for both us and the pippy. Emma is really supportive and always happy to answer any questions or concerns. Would highly recommend for first time puppy owners who want a little head start on getting the basics cemented early.
Emma has been a life saver today. I found a stray dog and brought him home to try and track down the owners. After no joy on the Facebook groups or with the Council, I found Emma on a website for scanning microchips. She came to the house straight away and got on with helping. The pup was taken to the dogs home and registered as missing with the dog warden. Emma was comfortable with the dog, clearly knew what she was doing. I'd recommend her services to all! Thanks again.

Dog walking is a real skill we have every confidence in Ben and the team. They pay attention and learn about each dog and their unique personalities. Would highly recommended and only trust our dog with this team.
These guys are great - Mabels has a particularly soft spot for Ben and has been loving going out with him once a week for a couple of years now - it’s great socialising for her (plus a bit of free training) Would highly recommend even if your dog gets other regular walks.. they also do really fun training events and one on one - thanks guys!
We have used Walk Wag Play for both training and walking since getting our rescue pup! They have been really helpful in supporting our understanding of our dogs reactivity and the 1to1 session was amazing. They are totally reliable and have our nervous dog walking with others which is so nice to see on the photos they share after each walk. 100% recommend and shout out to Edee for app your help 🤩.
WalkWagPlay trained and looked after my golden retriever Archie for the best part of 1 year - until we sadly had to move away from the area! Archie will definitely miss his weekly playgroup fun and pup-friends. I always felt he was in the best of hands with the team and couldn't recommend them highly enough.
Our dog (Big Mac) has been going on walks for a few weeks now, and I just wanted to say how happy we are with WWP so far, you guys have gone way past our expectations and done such an amazing job with Big Mac. On every occasion he’s come back from a walk he does not get up until it’s food time, which is how we know he’s had plenty of exercise/play. There have also been occasions where I would not have known he’s been through mud and puddles if it wasn’t for the pictures the guys send post walks. The team does a fabulous job making sure he’s nice and clean/dry when he’s back at home. We love seeing Big Mac’s updates and what he gets up to on the day. Thank you & the team for a great job.

Amazing x
Brilliant, will hopefully join more classes in the future (:
I have a tendency to waffle so I’ll just say this…stop your search for a dog trainer because Kahla is the best! As long as you listen to what she tells you and apply it consistently, you will be surprised at what you and your dog can achieve. I saw an improvement with my dog’s behaviour after just one session and a couple of weeks of applying what we had learned. The courses are also fantastic as are Jenny & Gabby and I’ve always felt in safe hands with all of them. Can’t really say enough, thanks from me and my monkey Clarence :)
We had a really good 1st experience with Kahla regarding our 1 year old rescue Lurcher cross. Our dog is not aggressive but he gets overly excited. He becomes super focus and if other dogs is close he will whine, bark, bites his lead and do somersault. We have no luck getting his attention. Kahla gave us a really good exercise to do with him when going on walks. She was really knowledgeable and gave us tips specific to his breed. The session was so fun and she put everything into context for us.

Barney had a session with Edee to work on recall and it was amazing. Edee is a great trainer and gave us lots to work from I would 100% recommend CDTA and will definitely use Edee again.
Today we attended the Sit, Stay, Find it training, run by Edee. Such a great session, Huck loved it, and now we have new games and training to keep our border terrier busy! Thank you!
Alessia was fantastic. Took time to understand the requirements and very attentive with my pooch! I found the first session very insightful and extremely beneficial and will be booking more in the coming weeks. Overall fantastic experience and already seeing the benefits at home! Thanks Alessia
PENARTH DOCK railway station served the docks area of Penarth. The Taff Vale Railway built its line to Penarth in 1865, later extending it to Lavernock, Sully & Cadoxton. Penarth Dock & Harbour station opened in 1878. The name was changed to Penarth Dock in 1928. The station was staffed & had 2 platforms with substantial buildings, linked by a footbridge. Despite this, it was very quiet during the day, & received almost all its revenue from morning & evening rush hour trains. It was closed on Sundays. The station closed in January 1962. Most of the buildings are still present, & have been used by a range of businesses, including a shooting range, a garden centre, a 2nd-hand car lot and a marine chandlers. The line is still open as far as Penarth, though it has been single track since 1967.
Edee was awesome with our dog! She gave us some really helpful things to try moving forward with his training. I really recommend working with her!
Finding skilled dog trainers in Llandaff means connecting with professionals who understand the unique character of this historic Cardiff suburb, where cathedral grounds meet riverside walks and tight-knit residential streets. From training puppies along the River Taff paths to managing reactive dogs near Llandaff Fields, our certified trainers deliver personalised obedience training, behaviour modification, and puppy socialisation programmes tailored to this distinctive village atmosphere within Wales's capital city.
Serving Llandaff village, Cathedral Road, Pontcanna, and surrounding CF5 areas, we've successfully trained over 850 dogs in the past eight years. Our expertise addresses the specific challenges of dog ownership in this heritage-rich area, from navigating the busy High Street to enjoying off-lead exercise in Llandaff Fields and along the Taff Trail.
Llandaff presents distinct training requirements shaped by its village character within urban Cardiff. The area's proximity to Llandaff Cathedral and the Bishop's Palace attracts numerous visitors and events, requiring dogs to remain calm around crowds and unfamiliar activity. Popular walking routes along the River Taff and through Llandaff Fields mean dogs regularly encounter other canines, cyclists, and joggers, making solid recall and lead manners essential for safe, enjoyable exercise.
The predominance of Victorian and Edwardian terraced housing with modest gardens means many Llandaff dogs rely on public spaces for proper exercise. Our trainers specialise in addressing challenges specific to community living, including managing dogs in close-proximity housing, training for the narrow pavements along Cardiff Road, and ensuring appropriate behaviour in the village's dog-friendly cafés and the Green.
Our puppy programmes focus on the critical 8-16 week period, introducing young dogs to Llandaff's unique environment including cathedral bells, village traffic, and the diverse activities along the Taff Trail. Training covers house training for terraced properties, basic commands, and controlled socialisation sessions in Llandaff Fields, building confident, well-adjusted dogs suited to village life.
We develop reliable recall essential for safely enjoying Llandaff Fields and riverside paths. Training addresses common distractions including riverside wildlife, other dogs, and cyclists along the Taff Trail, ensuring your dog responds immediately even in stimulating environments, providing peace of mind during daily walks through this popular area.
Using positive reinforcement techniques, we address leash reactivity on Llandaff's narrow pavements and pathways. Our systematic approach helps dogs remain calm when encountering triggers along High Street or in busy Llandaff Fields, replacing unwanted responses with focus and self-control through gradual desensitisation and counter-conditioning protocols.
Dog training in Llandaff typically costs £45-70 per hour for private sessions, with 6-week puppy courses averaging £180-320. Group classes range from £15-25 per session. Many local trainers offer free initial phone consultations and provide mobile services throughout CF5 postcode areas without additional travel charges.
Llandaff Fields offers excellent open space for recall training, while the Taff Trail provides varied distraction training environments. The quieter cathedral grounds and residential streets near Llandaff Village offer controlled environments for lead work and basic obedience. Early mornings at Llandaff Fields provide ideal conditions for nervous or reactive dogs requiring lower distraction levels.
Begin training immediately when bringing your puppy home around 8 weeks old. The critical socialisation period between 8-16 weeks makes early exposure to Llandaff's village atmosphere essential. Puppies can join group classes after initial vaccinations at approximately 10-12 weeks, though dogs of any age benefit from professional training.
Professional dog training in Llandaff creates confident, well-mannered companions suited to this historic village's unique character. Our proven methods combine evidence-based techniques with local knowledge, ensuring your dog thrives whether walking along the Taff, visiting Cathedral Green, or settling quietly in your Llandaff home.
