I can’t thank Brian enough for his guidance, patience, and expertise. He has helped us build Buddy’s obedience and turned our walks into something we both love. Before starting the 12-week program, my golden retriever was extremely reactive, and pulled on the lead. I struggled to walk him, and it was a daily challenge. Now, after completing the program, he heels beautifully by my side, and doesn’t react to other dog. We enjoy peaceful, stress-free walks together. The transformation has been incredible.

Where to begin??? My big (and he's huge) black lab Baxter couldn't set sight on any other dog without reacting. LOUD barking and lunging to the point where I would drive miles to the middle of nowhere to walk him as my anxiety was through the roof and I didn't want to risk meeting another dog. Then I got in touch with T.P.K.T. They tailored a block of sessions to our needs which we are just over half way through. The difference in Baxter is unreal, today for example, at a session, we were in the park with 2 other dogs and he was lying down just watching them do their thing!!!! At an earlier session we actually walked alongside another dog!!!! We still have wee blips but like I said we are only half way through. The big difference is I now have more confidence to walk him in well known dog walking areas. Brian's knowledge and understanding of dogs is quite incredible and I can't thank him enough for the progress so far!!! Long story short..... don't think twice about booking T.P.K.T
We started working with Teachers Pet when our puppy was about 6 months old. We have a Great Dane puppy who can certainly be a handful and Brian has been excellent to work with. As well as training our dog it is training us as owners so we can achieve our ideal results. They have access to great facilities and the training has been very clear and we have seen great progress almost instantly. We're very excited to reach the end of our course and believe that we will have a well mannered and obedient dog.
We’re almost half way through our training plan at the moment and we are already impressed with the progress we have made in such a small amount of time. It has been wonderful working with Karen. She has really supported us during this training. She is understanding and empathetic of the issues involved. As well as the zoom calls, the continual support through what’s app has helped immensely and I’m able to fire off a quick question or query to Karen and she will get back to me. We are making such good progress with leaving our dog and it’s so nice to know he is coping well with the small but steady increases in time. Leaving our dog comfortably alone was a stage I was unsure we would ever get to! It’s wonderful to feel both our dog and my own confidence has grown in this area. We have all worked hard during this training but could not have done it without Karen’s guidance and support. I would highly recommend Karen if you are struggling with your pet and I wouldn’t hesitate to seek her advice again should we need it in the future.
Karen was the second behaviourist that we worked with for our fear-reactive dog, and she really helped us turn a corner with his training. We'd been following the initial management advice for a while, but felt stuck with how to progress to training that might improve his fear and behaviour rather than just make it safer. Her service is excellent at all levels, from the videos showing training techniques to the insights and observations about our and our dog's behaviour in the house and out for walks - then combining it all into a tailored training programme that's understandable and achievable even by dog beginners. I can't recommend her enough for reactivity; her intervention has really made a practical difference to our lives and was extremely good value. If we ever get another pup - I'll be going straight to her to improve my training skills before any puppy school!
Quite simply outstanding. Knowledgeable, supportive, friendly, so very patient and encouraging with Tate and his owner. Our little pup’s behaviour is unrecognisable and walks have become the pleasure we always wanted them to be. The continued support and contact is so helpful. We started working with Karen to help our rescue dog, Mylo, who we adopted when he was around two. He had some behavioural challenges, particularly around other dogs, and we weren’t sure how to approach things in a way that would actually help him. From the beginning, Karen has been fantastic – incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and really easy to work with. Even after just one session, we started noticing improvements. Mylo has been much calmer in certain situations, especially when we’re out in new environments where things aren’t too intense. There’s definitely still work to do, but we now feel like we have the tools – and the confidence – to keep moving in the right direction. Karen’s focus on building long-term, sustainable change has been exactly what we needed. It’s a marathon, not a sprint, and she’s made that process feel manageable. Her follow-up support has been excellent – knowing we can reach out with questions as things come up has been so reassuring, and the additional resources she’s shared have helped us stay on track between sessions. We’re really grateful for the help so far and would absolutely recommend Karen to anyone looking for thoughtful, effective behavioural support.

kids went rock climbing in morning then gorging afternoon was great to see kids aged 10, 11, 12, 13 & 14 all get involved. support each other. try new things. have a laugh. seen that sons rock climbing lessons are worth the money. very confident and capable. the gorging was the hit for the kids. absolutely amazing time. helping each other. jumping in. sliding down water slides... they could of all spent all day there. can not recommend enough and expect this to become an annual experience or birthday party option and gave kids ideas for future career paths. love seeing kids outside enjoy the great outdoors and off their phones.
We had an amazing experience with Chris from Liquid Footprints. Initially we had booked sea kayaking but a large storm created strong winds so we switched to Gorge scrambling. Was so much fun and Chris was an amazing guide. Highly recommend
We had a memorable and wonderful weekend in the Highlands with Chris. Canoeing, wild camping, climbing Sulliven and then sailing!!! Chris is a highly professional, kind, supportive and fun leader who is unfailingly generous with his amazing knowledge and experience. We had a wide range of abilities and experience in the group and Chris got the best out of each of us. This is a brilliant way to spend a weekend. Highly recommended.
We are a family of 4 adults (aged in our 40s and 50s) and 3 children (aged 8, 11 & 15). We booked the Gorge Scrambling activity starting near the Culloden battlefield. Chris our guide and instructor was fantastic! He kept us all safe and made sure everyone had a wonderful time. He tailored the activity to accommodate our comfort and fitness levels and made sure everyone did as much or as little as they wanted whilst encouraging us to try new things by ensuring we felt safe and in control. All the equipment was provided - we only needed to bring our own trainers. Chris is so knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting information with us about the flora and fauna we came across. He also took some fantastic photos and videos of us during the activity using my waterproof case and phone camera which we all loved seeing afterwards. This was a highlight of our trip to Inverness and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others!

Just finished our last training session with Karen yesterday. I have 4 years old GSD. We're working on loose leash walking and reactivity towards other dogs. I can't believe the difference she made to our lifes in such a short period of time. Can't recommend Cowal K9 enough, thank you Karen.
I booked 3 training sessions with Karen for my little Jack Russell rescue dog, Teddy, who is seriously freaked out by other dogs and barks aggressively. Karen has given me great guidelines on how to tackle my dog's issues and I am now optimistic that I might see some improvement.
Prior to the massage treatments, my dog (Iyke) was at times crossing his front legs when walking and was quite stiff in his mobility. Following the massage treatments by Karen, Iyke is no longer crossing his front legs and he has a lot more flexibility when he walks. A big difference I have also seen is that previously there were certain occasions on walks where I may have to carry Iyke towards the end, however following his massage treatments, Iyke has been able to complete particular walks again without any issues – overall it has been a big improvement for the little guy and Karen was absolutely fantastic in supporting Iyke to relax, which is no easy feat for a Jack Russell! I cannot recommend Karen highly enough and will be booking further massage treatments for my little guy 💙
Karen has helped so much with training my young lab - particularly with loose lead walking and helping him focus on me in the face of distractions. All positive reinforcement based. Highly recommend!

I recently did a webinar with Yvonne on Fireworks and collies. Yvonne was very helpful and full of advice which I am going to try with my own collie.
First-class! Yvonne’s support in helping us begin to desensitise our adorable but nervous little Collie girl, is wonderful. Less than a week into the process, and she is already less reactive to some of the trigger sounds that were just changing her personality in a heart-beat, (including fireworks, the noise of young children playing, and alarms). So distressing for us, and Yvonne’s pragmatic, personalised approach has given us real optimism that we can make this little dog’s life even more complete. I’m very impressed.
I joined a Fireworks webinar with Yvonne in early August 2025 which was scheduled several months before Bonfire Night to enable us to use the tools she gave us to work with well ahead of the night itself.
