Madoc and I had a fantastic time doing the puppy class. Marta is very welcoming friendly and professional .I would highly recommend her classes to anyone with a puppy.
We were made to feel really welcome and was able to accommodate my mum as well who struggles to stand for too long. My puppy, that I was seriously struggling with basic recall with, managed to improve on that from the first lesson. The lessons were fun and interactive and informative. I would come back and would recommend Marta every time.

Jessie our Border Terrier puppy loves to run in open spaces and being playful. Pampered Pets dog park was ideal being totally enclosed with obstacles and toys. This led on to puppy training classes taken by Michelle. This helped Jessie to integrate with other dogs, respond to basic commands, walk properly on the lead and gain confidence. We also learned a lot from these classes. Jessie thanks ‘Aunty Michelle’ for the goodies and the care and love given❤️
Been going to Michelle for nearly 1 year now. She is fantastic with dogs! My 1 year old lab always comes out looking + smelling great.
I can't say enough about the fantastic experience we've had with Michelle. From the moment we started, it was clear that this was someone with an incredible understanding of dogs and a true passion for their work. Michelle has an incredible ability to connect with dogs of all breeds and temperaments as we've seen through the weeks. Our puppy, Pippin, was struggling with certain commands and we were at a loss, as this was how we'd trained previous dogs. Within just a few sessions we saw significant improvement because she made it so fun for him! Michelle's approach is rooted in positive reinforcement, patience, and consistency, which really make's a huge difference. Pippin adores his twice weekly sessions, and so will your dog! Michelle is also fantastic for grooming pups too, Pippin came out looking so handsome and he smelled fantastic ☺️
Michelle has been great with our Cockapoo puppy Bailey. Puppy classes have been good fun while learning at the same time 🙂

From training puppies in residential areas near Bangor Cathedral to managing reactive dogs along woodland paths at Nant Porth, our certified trainers deliver personalised obedience training, behaviour modification, and puppy socialisation programmes tailored to local conditions.
Serving Upper Bangor, Garth, Hirael, and surrounding areas across LL57 postcodes, we've successfully trained over 800 dogs in the region during the past eight years. Our expertise addresses challenges specific to this area, from navigating steep streets and woodland trails to enjoying off-lead exercise at Treborth Botanic Garden and along coastal paths.
Upper Bangor presents distinct training requirements shaped by its hilly terrain, proximity to Snowdonia National Park, and mix of Victorian housing and modern developments. The area's excellent access to natural spaces including Bangor Mountain and local woodland trails means dogs encounter diverse wildlife, other walkers, and varying terrain that requires solid recall and lead manners.
Our trainers specialise in preparing dogs for Upper Bangor's unique environment, including desensitisation to steep inclines, confidence on uneven surfaces, and appropriate behaviour around livestock in nearby rural areas. We understand local considerations like Welsh language commands for bilingual households and training suitable for the often wet, windy coastal climate that requires year-round outdoor exercise regardless of weather conditions.
Our puppy programmes build essential foundations during the critical 8-16 week socialisation period, introducing young dogs to Upper Bangor's environment including steep residential streets, woodland paths, beach areas, and the sounds of coastal weather. Training covers house training, basic commands, and controlled socialisation in locations like Bangor University grounds and local parks, creating confident, well-adjusted dogs ready for North Wales living.
With abundant access to open spaces, reliable recall proves essential for Upper Bangor dogs. Our training develops solid off-lead control despite distractions including wildlife, other dogs, and sheep in surrounding areas. Sessions utilise local locations to build practical, real-world reliability that allows safe enjoyment of the region's excellent walking opportunities while maintaining complete control and respecting countryside codes.
Narrow pavements on steep Upper Bangor streets can trigger or worsen reactivity issues. Our behaviour modification programmes address leash reactivity, fear-based responses, and other challenging behaviours using positive reinforcement techniques. We help dogs learn calm responses to triggers encountered on local routes, replacing unwanted reactions with focus and self-control even in close-proximity situations common in residential areas.
Dog training in Upper Bangor typically costs £35-65 per hour for private sessions, with 6-week programmes ranging from £220-380. Group classes average £10-18 per session. Many trainers offer mobile services throughout LL57 areas with no additional travel fees, and initial phone consultations are often complimentary.
Begin training immediately when bringing your puppy home around 8 weeks old. The critical socialisation window between 8-16 weeks makes early exposure to Upper Bangor's hills, weather, and environment essential. Puppies can join group classes after initial vaccinations at approximately 10-12 weeks, though dogs of any age benefit from professional training.
Yes, dogs can be trained for reliable off-lead control in open areas like Bangor Mountain. This requires systematic recall training, distraction work with wildlife and other dogs, and teaching appropriate responses to livestock. Most dogs need 6-12 weeks of progressive training to achieve reliable off-lead behaviour in countryside environments, ensuring safe enjoyment while respecting local countryside codes.
