I am truly grateful for the incredible gift Agnes shared with me. Her ability to connect with animals on such a deep and intuitive level is truly extraordinary. While I was speaking with Agnes about my beloved dog Rex who passed away few years back, I was moved beyond words when Agnes could feel his presence surrounding us. What happened next was something I didn’t expect. She channeled a message from Rex- with such clarity, compassion and warmth- that touched something deep within me. I could feel love so clearly that all the pain I’d been holding onto simply began to melt away. That day I received an incredible gift. What Agnes offered me is so much more than communication: it’s emotional liberation, spiritual connection and unconditional love, all wrapped in a presence that is deeply safe and grounded. THANK YOU, my dear Agnes! You are a healer, a guide, a bridge between hearts.

Working with Agnes has been one of the most beautiful experiences—for both me and my dog, Max. We were on a journey to support Max through his grief, as he had been carrying so much since the loss of my husband. What Agnes offered wasn’t just healing—it was deep, soulful connection. She communicated with Max in a way I’ve never witnessed before. She truly saw him. Understood him. And helped me understand him too. That meant the world to me. Since our sessions, Max has become more affectionate, more at peace, and so much lighter in his energy. I could feel the shift in him—he seemed genuinely happier and calmer. He’s always been my comfort through grief, and now I feel like I’ve finally been able to give something back to him. Supporting his emotional wellbeing was the best gift I could give, and I’m deeply grateful I found Agnes. If your dog is going through emotional pain, or if you simply want to connect more deeply with them, I can’t recommend Agnes enough. She doesn’t just work with animals—she honours the love and bond that exists between them and us.

Working with Agnes has been, without a doubt, one of the most rewarding and transformative experiences of our lives. We enrolled our now 5-month-old maltipoo girl, Tia, in her 8-week training program, and what we gained was so much more than obedience training – it was a deep, beautiful bond with our puppy and an education in compassionate, intuitive dog parenting. From day one, Agnes made it her mission to understand Tia on a personal level. Her approach is not one-size-fits-all – she truly tailors every aspect of her program to the dog’s personality, energy, and needs. She got to know Tia as if she were her own, and designed a plan that nurtured her confidence while gently guiding her behavior. But what truly sets Agnes apart is that she doesn’t just train dogs – she trains people. As first-time dog owners, my husband and I were overwhelmed, but Agnes patiently guided us, answering every question, calming every worry, and helping us understand Tia in a way that changed everything. We are different people because of her – more confident, more connected, and so much more in tune with our dog. The relationship we now share with Tia is one we wouldn’t have known how to build without Agnes. On top of all this, Agnes brings a holistic touch to her work that is rare and powerful. She incorporated Bach flower remedies to help with Tia’s anxiety and restlessness, and the improvement has been both visible and heartwarming. Her knowledge, dedication, and care go beyond the surface – she addresses the emotional and energetic well-being of your pup in a way that feels deeply healing. Agnes is not just a dog trainer. She is a true healer, teacher, friend and a guide – someone who has forever changed our lives and helped us give Tia the best, most loving start in life. We are endlessly grateful and cannot recommend her highly enough to anyone who wants to not just “train” their dog, but to truly understand and connect with them. Thank you, Agnes. You are magic. We love you!

** Update** after a few more sessions with Agnes she is even better! Her skin is a lovely baby pink, showing she's healing, and her face is much better too. She doesn't lick or bite half as much as she used to and also seems much happier in herself again! I am so happy with how she's progressed and wanted to thank Agnes again for being such a wonderful person 🙏🏼 💗 🙏🏼 💗 I wanted to share the progress my American bulldog Dakota has made since starting work with the wonderful Agnes. Many people don't believe in what she does and won't even give her a chance but I want to share my personal experience with her and encourage those with an open mind to reach out to her. We first had a chat about Dakotas history and what I thought was the cause. Agnes then explained that she is an energy healer and told me a little bit about what she does. I don't pretend to know how it works but I can tell you that throughout the process we went from treating it as an allergy caused by certain foods and environmental issues to the possibility that she was reacting to me leaving her and the rain causes her a lot of stress. I was guided through using Bach remedies to help ease her stress and changing my mindset about what is affecting Dakota. Before help from Agnes I would never have thought that she had separation anxiety as she tended to curl up in a ball and sleep but also bit and licks herself, which she doesn't do massively when I am with her. With separation anxiety I always believed that it was shown by a dog destroying the house and whining rather than scratching and licking themselves. I do believe that she still also suffers with environmental allergies and sensitivity to certain foods but in making a few changes and acknowledging that she isn't as happy as I thought she was when being left alone, I have definitely seen improvements with her. I have attached some photos of her before help from Agnes and some from now. She still has a way to go as she was on apoquel for almost 5 years, masking her issues but we are definitely heading in the right direction. I would recommend that anyone with an open mind who has tried lots of other methods to get in touch with Agnes. She is such a lovely person to work with and very highly intuitive. She got Dakotas character down perfectly without me telling her what she was like. I honestly can't thank this wonderful lady enough for helping me through some very up and down weeks with my girl ❤️🥰🙏🐾

I can't praise Agnes enough for everything she has done for both my dogs. My greyhound, Blue, came to me aged 3 after being retired from racing. He settled in quite well to house life but was absolutely terrified of fireworks and thunderstorms. I had tried calming supplements and thunderstorms coats but nothing seemed to help. Agnes was already helping me with my other dog with skin allergies, so had offered to work with Blue too. Agnes is amazingly intuitive with everything she does and immediately was able to tell me a lot about his personality. She continued to work with him over a few weeks and there was a huge improvement! I was dreading new years eve, knowing that there would be continued noise for over 10 minutes but after a very brief whine and circling, he settled in his bed for the duration of the fireworks. Hopefully I have attached some photos of him laying quietly in his bed with a screenshot showing the date and time so the fireworks would have been in fulls swing. I have definitely noticed a big difference with his behaviour and his energy is much more relaxed since his sessions. I can't thank Agnes enough for helping me with her wonderful healing ability and would highly recommend her to anyone with fearful, reactive dogs.

Rebecca has been absolutely brilliant with my cocker spaniel. We have gone to foundation and intermediate classes, alongside a couple of 1:1 lessons. Next up is the beginners gun dog course. The classes have provided structure for training as well as teaching us some fun 'tricks' to keep things playful. I found the tips on how to improve loose lead walking and impulse control invaluable. I could not recommend The City Dog Club enough!

Michael truly is as described - a proper dog guru! We worked together for 2 1/2 hours through very practical training methods focused on building positive behavioural associations. Within 5 minutes of arriving we were working directly with Roland across everything from jumping up and greetings, impulse control, to walking off the lead in a busy park alongside fun games and tricks to keep him fulfilled. Michael helped breakdown some of the pitfalls you may find from overly generalised advice that you read which ultimately confuses you to clear and well explained processes you can easily repeat. All this added up to a very happy dog, who responded well to all the methods being employed and a very happy owner who now has the confidence to put these into practice and enjoy the training too! Bravo!

This is our rescue dog who has been with us for the past 2.5 years - she is going to be 10 years old this year. The issue we were having was her pulling on the lead like MAD making walks not that pleasant an experience. Tried training her following videos on YT but with no luck - Enter Michael! Within one afternoon, our dog was walking next to us or behind us and continues to do so - sometimes tries to pull but we have the tools to not allow her to do so thanks to Michael! Now we need to get her socialised and we know where we will get that help! With The Dog Guru Michael - you can teach old dogs new tricks!

I can't praise Michael enough: we landed him with two puppies (brothers), two days after getting them from the breeder as we were unable temporarily to settle them and within two weeks we got two well-behaved healthy puppies back, who were already house trained and responding to a range of commands (and obviously enjoying it). They are now a month on and are growing up into two respectable young dogs: Michael gave them the best possible start in life and I can recommend his services whole heartedly: he is brilliant!! That was 12 months ago. Since then we lost one of the boys and got a new puppy to help the remaining one adjust. That meant retraining and Michael again did a superb job. Can’t recommend him enough!!!

We’ve been working with Alice since our dog Nessa was a tiny puppy and I’m not sure how we could’ve managed raising her without the help of Alice! She’s taught us / Nessa very important skills such as perfect recall, and she’s been with us to help once we were struggling with some issues, and have seen real improvements after implementing her guidance. Highly recommend!

I couldn't recommend Alice at AB K9 Training more! We contacted her because our whippet was overly excitable around other dogs. In the park, Kiwi would be at the end of her long line, lunging, getting frustrated, and unable to listen to us. In fact, we avoided parks altogether for *seven months* before we started working with Alice. Over the last few months of training with Alice, Kiwi has made incredible progress — far beyond what we dared to imagine, and in such a short time! She is now calm and neutral around other dogs, responds well to cues, and, most importantly, is loving life in the park again. Alice is kind, caring, and patient, and it’s clear she truly loves what she does. Each session is not only effective but also fun and thoughtfully tailored to Kiwi's specific needs. Alice’s extensive knowledge and her ability to explain the 'why' behind behaviours have been so helpful in understanding Kiwi and how she reacts to the world. We genuinely look forward to every session with Alice, just saying her name will have our lazy whippet shooting out of bed at 7am. Not only have we seen a dramatic change in Kiwi, but she has also given me the confidence to handle any situation and take Kiwi anywhere. If you're struggling with any behavioural issues or just want to strengthen your bond with your dog, Alice is absolutely the person to help. Thank you so much Alice, for transforming our lives. Truly!

Alice has been with us, along our puppy journey from our first week with Maple! Her calmness and positive can - do attitude has not only helped us train, but understand Maple better. I have found that Alice really understands the dogs she works with and genuinely cares about their training. At the end of the day, our Maple loves Alice enormously (and behaves so suspiciously well for her 😂)

We have been using AB K9 Training to train our 18 month old dog for quite some time now. I think we are a little addicted to working with Alice as she makes each session so much fun and we see continual improvement with our dog, who clearly enjoys being taught new things by her. Each session is clearly explained and easy to put into practice. We receive well written, simple to follow summary notes after each training session, coupled with tutorial videos where appropriate, or when requested. Nothing is ever too much effort for Alice and her training is focused and flexible. Our dog loves working with Alice as she is an upbeat, energetic and fun person who knows how to engage brilliantly with our dog. Alice always has a caring approach with our dog and our questions are always patiently explained and/or practically demonstrated, drawing from her vast experience and knowledge. Both my family and our dog have benefited enormously from everything Alice has taught us, with a notable improvement and more skills learned/refined after every session. I really couldn't recommend Alice enough. She is professional, brilliant at explaining training theory/concepts where needed and her positive reinforcement teaching method is both gentle and caring, resulting in us having a joyous relationship with our dog. My wife and I truly feel privileged to have Alice as our trainer.

We started working with Natasha when our labrador puppy Frankie was just 8w old, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Natasha is everything you’d hope for in a dog trainer; calm, confident, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. She has a really positive approach that works beautifully. Frankie took to her right away and absolutely lights up whenever she arrives. Every session is focused and structured, but still relaxed enough that it feels fun for everyone, especially our dog. She doesn’t just train the puppy, she teaches you how to understand your dog’s behaviour and respond in the right way. That’s been invaluable for us as first-time puppy owners. After each session, Natasha sends super helpful notes recapping what we covered and what to focus on next. She also checks in between sessions and is always happy to answer questions or give advice when something unexpected comes up. We’ve seen such clear progress in Frankie since we started; but more than that, we’ve built a great relationship with our dog, and that’s largely thanks to Natasha’s support and approach. Highly recommend Natasha and Happy Little Paws to anyone looking for a thoughtful, experienced trainer who truly understands and cares about dogs.

When Natasha first took hold of Maverick—my lanky, overexcited, borderline-deranged Weimaraner—I half expected her to invent a sudden emergency and flee. Instead, she performed what can only be described as alchemy. Within a few sessions, I was convinced she’d swapped him for a well-mannered clone. But no—after a heroic dive into a shrub and an ill-fated sprint after a leaf, I knew it was still him. Thanks to Natasha’s blend of sorcery, snacks, and saintly patience, Maverick no longer treats walks as an extreme sport. The park still presents too many distractions for total grace, but there’s definite progress. Honestly, I might be the one in need of lessons now.

We booked Natasha for her 5 session puppy package. I honestly don't know how we would have coped without her input! We haven't owned a dog before but our little Cockerdor Ada has been a delightful new member to our young family. Using Natasha's training exercises we have been able to channel Ada's energy into fun training games and avoid the extremes of puppy craziness! She was a great communicator and Ada instantly warmed and responded to her. Highly recommend.

Professional Dog Trainers in Lambeth: Expert Canine Behaviour & Obedience Services

Finding qualified dog trainers in Lambeth means connecting with professionals who understand the unique challenges of dog ownership in this diverse South London borough. From training puppies in Brixton's Victorian terraces to managing reactive dogs along the Thames Path at Vauxhall, our certified trainers deliver personalised obedience training, behaviour modification, and socialisation programmes designed for urban living.

Serving all areas including Clapham, Streatham, Kennington, and Waterloo, we've successfully trained over 2,800 dogs across Lambeth in the past eight years. Our expertise addresses the specific needs of this vibrant borough, from navigating busy Brixton Market to enjoying off-lead exercise in Brockwell Park and Clapham Common.

Why Choose Dog Training in Lambeth

Lambeth presents distinct training requirements shaped by its mix of bustling urban areas, excellent green spaces, and diverse communities. The borough's popular parks including Brockwell Park, Clapham Common, and Kennington Park provide outstanding training environments but also mean dogs encounter numerous other canines daily, making proper socialisation and recall training essential.

Our trainers specialise in addressing Lambeth-specific challenges including desensitising dogs to Northern and Victoria line trains at busy stations like Brixton and Stockwell, navigating crowded areas around Waterloo Station and the Southbank, and managing the stimulation of street markets and festivals. With housing ranging from converted flats to period properties with limited gardens, many Lambeth residents need dogs with excellent public manners and the ability to thrive in high-density urban environments.

Dog Training Solutions for Lambeth Residents

Puppy Training and Early Socialisation

Our puppy programmes focus on the critical 8-16 week socialisation period, introducing young dogs to Lambeth's urban environment including traffic noise along Brixton Road, crowds at Borough Market, and diverse stimuli throughout local parks. Training covers house training for flat living, crate training, bite inhibition, and essential commands, with controlled sessions at locations like Ruskin Park helping puppies build confidence around other dogs and city activities.

Reactive Dog and Behaviour Modification

Lambeth's popular walking routes often reveal reactivity issues. Our programmes address leash reactivity on busy pavements, barrier frustration in ground-floor flats, and fear-based responses. Using positive reinforcement, we help dogs learn calm responses to triggers encountered along Clapham Common paths or crowded Streatham High Road, gradually building tolerance and replacing reactive behaviours with focus and self-control.

Advanced Obedience and Recall Training

For dogs ready to progress, our advanced training develops reliable off-lead control essential for safely enjoying Lambeth's larger spaces. We build bombproof recall despite distractions in Brockwell Park, distance commands, and sophisticated lead work for navigating areas like Waterloo and Vauxhall, ensuring dogs respond reliably whether in quiet residential streets or amid festival crowds.

Frequently Asked Questions About Dog Training in Lambeth

How much does dog training cost in Lambeth?

Dog training in Lambeth typically ranges from £55-85 per hour for private sessions. Multi-session packages average £350-550 for 6-8 week programmes, while group classes cost £18-28 per session. Specialist behaviour consultations range from £75-120 for initial assessments, with South London pricing generally more affordable than central zones while maintaining high-quality professional standards.

What age should I start training my dog in Lambeth?

Begin training immediately when bringing your dog home, typically around 8 weeks old. The critical socialisation window between 8-16 weeks makes early exposure to Lambeth's urban environment essential for developing confident city dogs. Puppies can join group classes after initial vaccinations at 10-12 weeks, though dogs of all ages benefit from training regardless of history.

How do I stop my dog being reactive in Lambeth's parks?

Addressing reactivity requires systematic desensitisation and counter-conditioning. Identify your dog's threshold distance and work at ranges where they remain calm, rewarding focus on you. Use longer leads, visit during quieter times, and gradually decrease distance over multiple sessions. Most dogs show improvement within 6-10 weeks with consistent training and professional guidance.

Professional dog training in Lambeth strengthens your bond while ensuring your dog thrives in this dynamic borough.
