I’m so incredibly grateful that Vanessa was recommended to me. I’m sure the first 2 months of having my puppy would’ve looked very different without her thoughtful guidance, advice and expertise. I was a first time dog owner, and whilst I had spent a lot of time with an adult whippet, I hadn’t owned my own dog or even been around a puppy before. Anyone who has experienced this knows how different an adult whippet and a puppy whippet are! I started working with Vanessa before I even brought my puppy home (highly recommended this) and she was so helpful in sharing advice on potty training, crate training, toys, sleeping set up and even vet recommendations. This made me feel so much more prepared and I think made for a calm and confident first few days for my puppy. We then started training in person with Vanessa the day after I got my puppy, and again having Vanessa by my side meant that I was equipped with the knowledge to help with the less fun elements (biting, shoelace pulling, crazy zoomies etc) and also already start with proactive settle training, basic commands, fun tricks and most importantly bonding. Over the last 2 months I’ve bought 2 puppy packages and we’re now doing magic matt, home alone training, recall and leave it. Beyond being a great trainer, Vanessa has also introduced me to daycare (House of Hounds in London Fields), dog sitters and a local sighthound WhatsApp group. This is because Vanessa goes above and beyond for her clients and genuinely cares. When my puppy was sick, she kept checking in out of genuine worry and love for her. When I was sending panicked messages (hello puppy blues and lack of sleep) she was non judgemental and didn’t shame me. I don’t think I would have the sweet and calm puppy I have today without Vanessa, so I am incredibly thankful. At not even 4 months, she is able to settle by herself, not bark for food, lets me clean her paws, loves her crate, sits, stay, down and has totally stopped biting. There is lots to still work on as she develops, but I feel confident knowing that I have Vanessa.
We worked with Vanessa with our rescue lurcher cross Fraggle. Vanessa has really helped us understand Fraggle's needs and behaviour and he's now much calmer and happier and we have a lovely bond with him. We worked on mouthing behaviours, his love for prey, and leaving him alone. Couldn't recommend Vanessa enough! 🐶
Vanessa was brilliant with our dog Albie. She taught us some really good new techniques to train our puppy, setting us up to work on his settling on a mat and recall out and about. We really appreciated the time she took to talk us through various approaches and also how enthusiastic and fun she was with our puppy. (Picture of Albie sound asleep after a really stimulating walk with Vanessa)
We’ve just finished our fourth session with Vanessa, and we honestly couldn’t be more grateful for her help! When we first got in touch, we were feeling totally overwhelmed – trying to make sense of all the conflicting advice online, and just not sure if we were doing things right with our 4.5-month-old whippet, Peggy. From the first session, Vanessa made us feel completely at ease. She’s kind, non-judgemental, and really knows her stuff. Peggy also adores her! We’ve been working on things like lead walking, recall, helping keep focus on us, crate training, building up alone time, and settling, and we’re seeing real progress. The sessions have also made us feel so much more confident and in control, which has been a huge relief. If you’re feeling a bit lost or just want some expert, compassionate guidance, we can’t recommend her enough.
We had tried everything to help our Labradoodle, Bella, with her separation anxiety. I mean everything—“Even X?” Yes, X, Y, Z, and the whole alphabet! Nothing seemed to work… until we were found brilliant Vanessa. Vanessa has been a total game-changer—not just for Bella, but for us too. If you’ve ever lived with a dog suffering from separation anxiety, you know how emotionally draining and overwhelming it can be. Vanessa didn’t just help Bella—she supported us through every step of the process. She has an incredible ability to understand dog behaviour from videos, things that we may miss even though we think we know our dog so well. She really listens to all of our concerns, is always available for questions (no matter how small!), and constantly tailors Bella’s plan based on her progress and personality. You can tell she’s not only an expert, but truly passionate about what she does. Thanks to Vanessa, we finally feel hopeful—and Bella is happier and more confident than ever, with real concrete results. Highly, highly recommend her to anyone going through the same struggle. She’s the real deal.

Could not recommend enough - Holly at Friendly Creatures really helped us understand our puppy better and have seen so much improvement since taking part. We learned so much about our puppy's behaviours and how to get the best out of him and for him. Thank you!
The team is amazing, and our dog is so well adapted to our family after the training. I love how much they care about results and their deep knowledge! We will come back for more. Great job!
We did Lydia’s online puppy training course and it was fantastic! Lydia was super helpful, really friendly, and explained everything in a way that was easy to follow. After each session, she sent a follow-up email with a summary of what we covered, which made it so much easier to practice at home. The course really helped build our puppy’s confidence and ours too. We’d definitely recommend Lydia to anyone looking for puppy training support!
Martina has a wealth of knowledge and is very attentive towards my dogs needs. I am very happy with the training provided. the videos are very helpful as well. would highly recommend!
We attended a six week puppy course, really pleased with the experience. Our trainer Marta was excellent!

Francesca was fantastic. great insight right from the start, left me with plenty of exercises, superb communication and admin - always knew when and where to be. great support. very pleased I used her, much more confident in understanding how to help Jazz build confidence.
Fran had been a dream to work with! We had three amazing sessions with her and our new Bichon puppy Juno. She coached us through the puppy journey and soothed any worries and anxieties we had. We couldn’t have done it with out her and she is so lovely she has become a friend!
Francesca has been a huge help with Benni’s reactivity towards other dogs and the world in general. Her calm, positive approach has made a real difference, and we've already noticed huge improvements in his behaviour and confidence. What really stands out is how much care she puts into understanding both the dog and the owner, she listens, observes, and tailors her advice in a way that feels really thoughtful and supportive. It’s been such a relief to have her guidance.
We've been seeing Fran for over a year and couldn't be happier with her service. She took the time to get to know both our dog and us as a family, really getting to grips with what our short and long term goals were for training. She showed from her first interactions with Milo (dog) what could be achieved and she has worked wonders with him (and our approach to him). Fran has been instrumental in improving recall, lead walking and reactivity in Milo to the point where we can trust that he will always come back to us when called, even when there are exciting/overstimulating triggers everywhere (squirrels/dogs/ball etc)! I would recommend Fran to anyone with a dog - she knows what she is doing!!
We cannot recommend Francesca highly enough. She is a first class trainer with a true passion for her work. Our one year old retriever adores her and we have learnt so much from her calm and insightful approach. Moreover, we have also used the first class dog sitting for two holidays; what a difference it makes to know your dog is also having a wonderful time and being cared for so brilliantly! A real 'dog whisperer', don't hesitate to use her services!

Sean is an excellent trainer. Thorough explanations and demonstrations. Milo responds really well to his training and we have very much enjoyed learning from Sean.
Sean’s training, support and advice has been invaluable and we couldn’t recommend him highly enough. He helped us to prepare for and settle in our brand new puppy, and then progressed to obedience training as our puppy grew. His genuine love of dogs comes through everything he does. We booked a block of five sessions, and then booked a couple more as different issues came up for our dog. He was always on hand for queries in between sessions and made sure all his sessions were tailored to exactly what we needed. The whole process has been a joy and we have a very happy dog!
Sean has been a massive help in showing us the best way to train our puppy, giving invaluable advice both in lessons and via message when we need it. 10/10
Sean gave us practical and easy to follow instructions which lead to noticeable progress within a couple of sessions. He also helped us to understand the realistic timescales for making progress. He was very supportive and he brought his own dog Charlie along to help us train our dog.

Great puppy training that both me and the pup learnt a lot from! Would highly recommend
Toni is an amazing dog trainer who I would definitely recommend! My dog Leni and I have both learnt so much from our foundational lessons, and I'm keen to go back for Intermediate classes in future. Toni is really knowledgeable and great at explaining everything, and always answered all my questions. Leni can be shy at first, but Toni was so great with her. Leni has made lots of progress in her training, and seems more confident. We both really enjoyed our sessions!
Toni has been a fantastic trainer for our puppy and a brilliant teacher for us! As brand new dog owners their guidance and patience has been so important. We really enjoyed the classes and hope to do the next level with Toni. We would 100% recommend.
Toni is amazing with dogs. I’m a first-time dog owner and she hasn’t just trained my puppy Ziggy, she’s taught me too. She really understands dogs and you can tell she loves what she does. There’s a lot of confusing advice out there, but everything Toni taught us worked. Ziggy is great at walking on a loose lead, following settle commands, and has strong basic skills thanks to her. We took two private lessons and five group classes. Ziggy has made so much progress, and we’ve already booked her into the intermediate classes starting in October. We’re really looking forward to continuing with Toni.
I couldn’t rate Toni and her team more highly! They made the whole experience so enjoyable and engaging, making sure the dogs all had time to rest between training, with playtime at the end. Toni is very knowledgeable, and shares nuggets of information throughout each session, always sharing follow-up resources too! If you’re unsure where to turn to for puppy school, I’d definitely recommend Toni! Can’t wait to try intermediate training next :)
Finding qualified dog trainers in Tower Hamlets means partnering with professionals who understand the unique challenges of raising dogs in one of London's most densely populated and rapidly transforming boroughs. From socialising puppies in Victoria Park to managing reactive dogs along the Regent's Canal towpath, our certified trainers deliver tailored obedience training, behaviour modification, and puppy programmes designed for urban living.
Serving areas including Canary Wharf, Bethnal Green, Whitechapel, Bow, and Isle of Dogs, we've successfully trained over 2,800 dogs across Tower Hamlets in the past eight years, addressing the specific needs of high-rise living, busy streets, and diverse community spaces.
Tower Hamlets presents exceptional training challenges shaped by its vertical living, world-class business districts, and vibrant multicultural communities. Dogs must navigate everything from crowded DLR stations at Canary Wharf to bustling markets on Brick Lane, requiring comprehensive desensitisation to urban stimuli including construction noise from constant development, diverse crowds, and the confined spaces of tower block lifts and corridors.
The borough's limited green space—primarily Victoria Park, Mile End Park, and Mudchute Park—means these areas experience high dog density, making excellent socialisation and recall absolutely essential. Our trainers specialise in preparing dogs for life in flats with balconies rather than gardens, teaching appropriate behaviour in shared communal areas, and ensuring dogs can travel confidently on the Elizabeth Line, Jubilee Line, and DLR services that connect the borough.
We provide expert training services throughout Tower Hamlets, covering all E1, E2, E3, E14, and E15 postcode areas. Our trainers work near landmark locations including Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf financial district, Olympic Park, Trinity Buoy Wharf, and the historic Whitechapel Bell Foundry site, utilising parks and quieter streets for effective sessions. We serve communities from Limehouse Basin to Stratford borders, throughout residential areas in Globe Town and Poplar, with mobile services bringing training directly to your doorstep within 24-48 hours.
Our puppy programmes build confidence during the critical 8-16 week period, exposing young dogs to Tower Hamlets' unique environment including DLR trains, riverside activity, market crowds, and varied surfaces. Training covers flat-appropriate house training, lift desensitisation, and essential commands, with controlled sessions in Victoria Park and Mile End Park preventing future anxiety issues.
High dog density in Tower Hamlets' limited park space often triggers reactivity. Our programmes address leash reactivity on narrow towpaths, barrier frustration in ground-floor flats, and fear responses using positive reinforcement techniques. Training along the Thames Path and in busy areas like Columbia Road builds tolerance systematically.
We specialise in training for tower block living, teaching dogs appropriate lift behaviour, settling in flats with neighbouring pets, managing balcony safety, and navigating communal areas respectfully—essential skills for the numerous residential towers throughout Canary Wharf, Poplar, and Isle of Dogs.
Dog training in Tower Hamlets typically costs £55-85 per hour for private sessions, with 6-8 week packages ranging from £350-600. Group classes cost £18-28 per session, while puppy courses average £200-320. Prices reflect the borough's proximity to central London and Canary Wharf, though trainer qualifications matter more than location.
Yes, dogs can be trained for public transport, essential in Tower Hamlets given excellent DLR, Jubilee, and Elizabeth Line connections. Training involves gradual exposure to platforms, crowds, and carriage movement. Most dogs require 5-8 sessions, starting at quieter stations like Mudchute before progressing to busy hubs like Canary Wharf during peak times.
Begin immediately when bringing your puppy home around 8 weeks old, as early exposure to Tower Hamlets' intense urban environment during the 8-16 week socialisation window proves crucial. However, adult and rescue dogs benefit equally from training regardless of age, particularly given the borough's challenging environment requiring ongoing adaptation.
Professional dog training in Tower Hamlets creates confident, adaptable canines thriving in this dynamic borough's unique challenges. Our evidence-based programmes address high-rise living, transport navigation, and limited green space realities, transforming dogs into well-mannered companions. Whether you're in a Canary Wharf apartment, Bow warehouse conversion, or Bethnal Green flat, expert training ensures your dog becomes a valued community member. Contact us today to schedule your consultation and begin your journey toward a perfectly trained Tower Hamlets dog.
