The Needle Turn Applique class at Sew Confident Dundee was a lovely evening session - no rush, just simple, mindful stitching. I also appreciated the fact that the pattern was included in the class cost as it means participants can use it to further develop the skills learned in the class.
A really enjoyable course and I was delighted to complete my blouse.
This was a most enjoyable day, spent with some lovely fellow sewists and hosted perfectly by Sandra. It was a luxury to spend so much focused time on a sewing challenge which I haven’t quite cracked but am getting there now, thanks also to having Sandra on hand with advice!
Attended the All Day Sewcial on 26th July - a full gathering of lovely ladies being led by Sandra. A great day as always - you learn so much from the others attending and get tips and tricks which you'd never get sewing at home! As always, finished up with a glass of Prosecco .....thank you Sandra xx
I did Beach Bag class and it was great! I ended up with a great bag and also understanding of how I can make it again for friends as gifts! Sandra was fab as always!

Caroline has been fantastic in helping us with Dennis. He'd had long-standing reactivity to dogs, people and bikes but working with Caroline provided an incremental approach to help Dennis be less anxious and reactive. We still have work to do but he is such a calmer boy now than ever before. Thanks Caroline for all of your help. We coildnt have done it without you.
This is the second time I’ve used Caroline, with different dogs. Her advice & expertise is amazing. Very free & easy to talk to, with lots of great advice. Highly recommend 😇
Caroline has been incredibly helpful for me and my partner helping to settle our 1.5 year old Mini Schnauzer. We were having issues with stressful walks and separation anxiety whilst leaving the house, and a massive uncertainty around conflicting information online on how to deal with it. Caroline was amazing at helping us learn how to understand our dog's behavior and how best to deal with it, and giving us useful tools on training. Caroline gave clear, judgement free advice and followed strictly humane and ethical training advice. We'd happily recommend her service to anyone needing a little help with their dogs!
Caroline (from Gooddoggie Canine Behaviour Specialist and Educator) was brought in to help with our reactive foster dog Lucy and we have just finished our fourth session over a period of three months. Caroline spent time getting to know Lucy and accompanying us on walks to see how she could best help. She was quickly able to identify and explain Lucy's behaviours around other dogs and recommend techniques and training we could use on a daily basis to improve this. Understanding Lucy better gave us more confidence taking her out. We learned about reading her body language and how to build up her confidence. Seeing Caroline for a few sessions allowed her to see how Lucy was progressing and offer help for any problems that had come up since the last visit. Caroline was also happy to be contacted any time if we had a question and was delighted to receive updates on Lucy's progress. Lucy's reactivity has definitely improved and she is becoming much calmer near other dogs most of the time. We have even had a couple of happy accidents when off-lead dogs ran up to her and she responded well to them. The training will take time and patience but we recognise the small steps in progress she is making along the way. Not every encounter with a dog will be calm, but it is getting better and we are feeling more confident in these situations. Caroline's calm and friendly personality, along with her extensive knowledge and experience make her a fantastic behaviour specialist and educator and we would highly recommend her to other dog owners. She has greatly improved Lucy's behaviour (and enhanced her quality of life) as well as giving us the confidence and strategies to keep moving us both in the right direction.
Thank you Caroline Our rescue patterdale jock is now able to approach other dogs to socialise. This has only happened with your help over 6 sessions, something we thought could never happen

Dougal, our Romanian rescue dog came to us over two years ago with a number of behaviour problems. Paul's expert advice and training regimes have been invaluable in transforming him into a wonderful pet and companion. Attending the weekly Wolfspeak classes has been an absolute joy, watching Dougal and the other dogs develop week by week under Paul's guidance. Great results with a highly knowledgeable trainer. We would highly recommend Wolfspeak.
Wolfspeak is a very professional dog training school Pauls knowledge and experience is of the highest quality whether your dog has an issue or you just want a well trained dog look no further than WOLFSPEAK
What a difference in such a short time! I'd tried a few trainers and was beginning to lose confidence and feel rather confused by their radically different approaches (as was Hamish). When I started classes with Wolfspeak however, it was like an epiphany! Paul's balanced and calm approach immediately put us at our ease and everything started to make sense and fall into place. His vast knowledge and many years of experience and dedication clearly shine through in his incredible ability to instill calm confidence in both dog and handler alike. It is also very refreshing and clear to see that Paul and his amazing helpers Susan and Gavin, really genuinely care about every dog that attends their sessions. Hamish is making great progress now and we're really looking forward to continuing our journey with Wolfspeak.
Cannot recommend these classes highly enough. Paul has an extensive knowledge and experience of dog behaviour and training methods and is also an excellent and supportive trainer to both dogs and their owners. I have learnt a lot not only with my own dog but by watching Paul work with other owners of dogs with a varied range of behaviours. Bertha loves these sessions and squeaks with excitement when we enter cairnie car park! She has learnt to cope with a wide range of situations in a safe environment and well socialised . Thanks to Paul, his helpers and the friends I’ve made at classes my over excitable, nervous ball of fluff is now a well balanced, confident happy dog who loves life, is my constant companion and best friend.

Great wide and varied space for our dog. Clean and well looked after.
Easy access and fun for our three dogs
Great dog field with parking in each field! Well maintained, clean and tidy!
Today was our first visit and it went perfectly. For context I have two dogs, Roscoe and Fergus. Fergus has no fear, very inquisitive and determined. Roscoe however is a very nervous dog with medical issues. In situations he feels insecure or threatened he becomes aggressive and will use fight or flight. I have to be very careful when walking him as I can't let him off the lead. However, Unleashed is absolutely perfect for both of them. Three large play areas, filled with activities and a large area to run around in. My two boys absolutely loved it and we will definitely be a regular customer. I cannot recommend Unleashed any more if you have a dog like my Roscoe who has issues, or indeed if you have a dog like Fergus who is super confident, inquisitive and just looking to exercise them.
Great to have the space for our dogs to be off lead in a safe and unclosed space. They had the best time running around and exploring, will be recommending to all the doggie parents.

Very reliable and so very caring towards our very nervous pup. 👌🏻 best doggy walkers around.
A Great friendly service from C and J who really look after my dog , she’s always pleased to see them and gets a great walk, thank you Little Paws!
Highly recommend these ladies, my two greyhounds love them and thoroughly enjoy their very varied walks. They have also learnt how to socialise very well.
My dog can be a little anxious around people, he very quickly settled with caroline and Jackie. They have been brilliant with him and also us! Can't thankyou all enough!

From training puppies along the iconic Broughty Ferry Beach to managing reactive dogs on the bustling promenade near Broughty Castle, our certified trainers deliver personalised obedience training, behaviour modification, and socialisation programmes tailored to seaside living.
Serving the entire DD5 postcode area including The Ferry, Barnhill, and Monifieth borders, we've successfully trained over 850 dogs in the local community. Our expertise addresses unique challenges from beach recall training to navigating the busy Queen Street and Gray Street shopping areas with well-mannered companions.
Broughty Ferry presents distinctive training opportunities shaped by its coastal location and village atmosphere. The popular beachfront and esplanade provide excellent training environments, but the presence of seabirds, other dogs, and beach activities requires solid recall and distraction training. Local dogs must navigate everything from summer crowds at the beach to quiet winter walks along Monifieth sands.
Our trainers understand local considerations including tidal patterns affecting beach access, seasonal tourism impacts on Gray Street, and the social dynamics at popular dog-walking spots like Dawson Park and Barnhill Rock Garden. We prepare dogs for the vibrant community atmosphere, from busy café culture on Brook Street to events at Castle Green, ensuring your companion thrives in this active coastal environment.
We specialise in beach-specific training essential for Broughty Ferry dogs. This includes reliable recall despite distractions from seagulls, other dogs, and interesting beach debris, alongside teaching appropriate behaviour around rock pools and avoiding wildlife disturbance. Training at Broughty Ferry Beach and nearby Monifieth Beach ensures dogs can safely enjoy off-lead coastal freedom.
Our puppy programmes build confidence during the critical 8-16 week period, introducing young dogs to coastal sounds, varied terrain from sandy beaches to cobbled streets, and the bustling atmosphere of The Ferry. We conduct socialisation sessions at locations like Grove Academy fields and along quieter sections of the esplanade, creating well-adjusted dogs ready for community life.
The popular promenade and busy beach areas can challenge reactive dogs. Our behaviour modification programmes address leash reactivity on narrow pavements, help dogs remain calm when passing the numerous other canines at peak walking times, and build confidence through systematic desensitisation in controlled environments before progressing to busier locations.
Dog training in Broughty Ferry typically ranges from £35-65 per hour for private sessions, with 6-week puppy courses averaging £180-320. Group classes cost approximately £10-18 per session. Many local trainers offer beach-specific training packages designed for coastal living, with initial consultations usually available within 48 hours.
Yes, dogs can achieve reliable off-lead behaviour on Broughty Ferry beaches through progressive recall training. We work systematically from quiet early morning sessions to busier periods, building solid response despite distractions including wildlife, other dogs, and beach activities. Most dogs achieve confident beach freedom within 8-12 weeks of dedicated training.
Begin training immediately when bringing your puppy home around 8 weeks old. Early exposure to beach environments, village sounds, and local community spaces during the 8-16 week socialisation window proves crucial for developing confident coastal dogs. Puppies benefit from experiencing varied terrain, tidal changes, and the seasonal rhythms of this seaside community from the earliest possible age.
