Jamie came to us a week ago and was brilliant. I had problems with a few things but the main one was toilet training. He talked me through and we had a training session. Now, one week later my dog is toilet trained. I cannot recommend this person highly enough and will be keeping in touch for any future problems. If you are struggling with Puppy/Dog training then this is for you.

Jamie is phenomenal. He gave me such generous and solid advice, and just hearing his perspective on our dog's behavior has already done so much and brought about such positive change for our dog and for us. I'm really grateful and look forward to working with Jamie in future!

Uptown Dogs become an extension of your family very quickly. Jamie and Ludmila are exceptional. They care for my family pup deeply and go the extra mile to make sure he is well looked after. The walks are just one part of what they do — they are always happy to share advice and tips so that our pup thrives. This is a rare duo. We are grateful to have them in our lives.

More than just a dog trainer! We’ve had so much advice and guidance in such a short period of time, from people who genuinely understand, have huge experience and care. Our 15 week old puppy is calm and listening to our instructions really well. We’ve been taught great techniques. Highly recommend using Up Town dogs.

We have had a super positive experience with Jamie. We had an initial phone call with him soon after our pup came home, several 1 on 1 training sessions and lots of follow ups via WhatsApp. Jamie has been super helpful in all elements of new puppy ownership that extends far beyond skills training, his advice has been invaluable in understanding our pups behaviour too. He gives you genuine honest advice and also prompts you to think about your own actions/role in why your pup might be behaving a certain way. Would highly recommend to anyone! Katherine & Hugh

I am truly grateful for the incredible gift Agnes shared with me. Her ability to connect with animals on such a deep and intuitive level is truly extraordinary. While I was speaking with Agnes about my beloved dog Rex who passed away few years back, I was moved beyond words when Agnes could feel his presence surrounding us. What happened next was something I didn’t expect. She channeled a message from Rex- with such clarity, compassion and warmth- that touched something deep within me. I could feel love so clearly that all the pain I’d been holding onto simply began to melt away. That day I received an incredible gift. What Agnes offered me is so much more than communication: it’s emotional liberation, spiritual connection and unconditional love, all wrapped in a presence that is deeply safe and grounded. THANK YOU, my dear Agnes! You are a healer, a guide, a bridge between hearts.

Working with Agnes has been one of the most beautiful experiences—for both me and my dog, Max. We were on a journey to support Max through his grief, as he had been carrying so much since the loss of my husband. What Agnes offered wasn’t just healing—it was deep, soulful connection. She communicated with Max in a way I’ve never witnessed before. She truly saw him. Understood him. And helped me understand him too. That meant the world to me. Since our sessions, Max has become more affectionate, more at peace, and so much lighter in his energy. I could feel the shift in him—he seemed genuinely happier and calmer. He’s always been my comfort through grief, and now I feel like I’ve finally been able to give something back to him. Supporting his emotional wellbeing was the best gift I could give, and I’m deeply grateful I found Agnes. If your dog is going through emotional pain, or if you simply want to connect more deeply with them, I can’t recommend Agnes enough. She doesn’t just work with animals—she honours the love and bond that exists between them and us.

Working with Agnes has been, without a doubt, one of the most rewarding and transformative experiences of our lives. We enrolled our now 5-month-old maltipoo girl, Tia, in her 8-week training program, and what we gained was so much more than obedience training – it was a deep, beautiful bond with our puppy and an education in compassionate, intuitive dog parenting. From day one, Agnes made it her mission to understand Tia on a personal level. Her approach is not one-size-fits-all – she truly tailors every aspect of her program to the dog’s personality, energy, and needs. She got to know Tia as if she were her own, and designed a plan that nurtured her confidence while gently guiding her behavior. But what truly sets Agnes apart is that she doesn’t just train dogs – she trains people. As first-time dog owners, my husband and I were overwhelmed, but Agnes patiently guided us, answering every question, calming every worry, and helping us understand Tia in a way that changed everything. We are different people because of her – more confident, more connected, and so much more in tune with our dog. The relationship we now share with Tia is one we wouldn’t have known how to build without Agnes. On top of all this, Agnes brings a holistic touch to her work that is rare and powerful. She incorporated Bach flower remedies to help with Tia’s anxiety and restlessness, and the improvement has been both visible and heartwarming. Her knowledge, dedication, and care go beyond the surface – she addresses the emotional and energetic well-being of your pup in a way that feels deeply healing. Agnes is not just a dog trainer. She is a true healer, teacher, friend and a guide – someone who has forever changed our lives and helped us give Tia the best, most loving start in life. We are endlessly grateful and cannot recommend her highly enough to anyone who wants to not just “train” their dog, but to truly understand and connect with them. Thank you, Agnes. You are magic. We love you!

** Update** after a few more sessions with Agnes she is even better! Her skin is a lovely baby pink, showing she's healing, and her face is much better too. She doesn't lick or bite half as much as she used to and also seems much happier in herself again! I am so happy with how she's progressed and wanted to thank Agnes again for being such a wonderful person 🙏🏼 💗 🙏🏼 💗 I wanted to share the progress my American bulldog Dakota has made since starting work with the wonderful Agnes. Many people don't believe in what she does and won't even give her a chance but I want to share my personal experience with her and encourage those with an open mind to reach out to her. We first had a chat about Dakotas history and what I thought was the cause. Agnes then explained that she is an energy healer and told me a little bit about what she does. I don't pretend to know how it works but I can tell you that throughout the process we went from treating it as an allergy caused by certain foods and environmental issues to the possibility that she was reacting to me leaving her and the rain causes her a lot of stress. I was guided through using Bach remedies to help ease her stress and changing my mindset about what is affecting Dakota. Before help from Agnes I would never have thought that she had separation anxiety as she tended to curl up in a ball and sleep but also bit and licks herself, which she doesn't do massively when I am with her. With separation anxiety I always believed that it was shown by a dog destroying the house and whining rather than scratching and licking themselves. I do believe that she still also suffers with environmental allergies and sensitivity to certain foods but in making a few changes and acknowledging that she isn't as happy as I thought she was when being left alone, I have definitely seen improvements with her. I have attached some photos of her before help from Agnes and some from now. She still has a way to go as she was on apoquel for almost 5 years, masking her issues but we are definitely heading in the right direction. I would recommend that anyone with an open mind who has tried lots of other methods to get in touch with Agnes. She is such a lovely person to work with and very highly intuitive. She got Dakotas character down perfectly without me telling her what she was like. I honestly can't thank this wonderful lady enough for helping me through some very up and down weeks with my girl ❤️🥰🙏🐾

I can't praise Agnes enough for everything she has done for both my dogs. My greyhound, Blue, came to me aged 3 after being retired from racing. He settled in quite well to house life but was absolutely terrified of fireworks and thunderstorms. I had tried calming supplements and thunderstorms coats but nothing seemed to help. Agnes was already helping me with my other dog with skin allergies, so had offered to work with Blue too. Agnes is amazingly intuitive with everything she does and immediately was able to tell me a lot about his personality. She continued to work with him over a few weeks and there was a huge improvement! I was dreading new years eve, knowing that there would be continued noise for over 10 minutes but after a very brief whine and circling, he settled in his bed for the duration of the fireworks. Hopefully I have attached some photos of him laying quietly in his bed with a screenshot showing the date and time so the fireworks would have been in fulls swing. I have definitely noticed a big difference with his behaviour and his energy is much more relaxed since his sessions. I can't thank Agnes enough for helping me with her wonderful healing ability and would highly recommend her to anyone with fearful, reactive dogs.

Nigel’s bespoke approach totally transformed the way we understand our dog and the easy to follow techniques have led to our dog being much calmer, more content and less anxious. Nigel is clearly an expert at what he does and gave us the tools and language to resolve the issues we were having and we saw almost instant results. Over the weeks the improvements continued and Nigel was there to support us through this process. I would highly recommend Nigel, he was brilliant and the positive impact on our dog has been game changing!

Meeting with Nigel was amazing! He assessed our young puppy and helped us understand the causes of certain undesirable behaviors and how we should address them. His approach is very intelligent, not just one rule for everything, and he considers the nuances of specific situations as well as our puppy’s individual needs. He’s definitely given us the confidence to train our puppy appropriately, and we’ve already seen incredible improvements in our puppy’s behavior! We’re really excited to continue speaking with Nigel, as he’s genuinely knowledgeable, kind, and patient. We’re over the moon that we enlisted him for help, and highly, highly recommend him and his training approach!

Nigel was everything his reviews lived up to and more. We have a 10 week old puppy and wanted to make sure we were making the right decisions and not setting ourselves up for failure further down the line. We’d read all the books, listened to all the podcasts and watched all the YouTube videos. But real life has a funny way of not going the same way, doesn’t it? So we decided to get in touch with Nigel. His approach just immediately felt right. He was professional and nonjudgmental. He knew straight away the things we needed to work on. As he explained his process and guided us through his methods, everything clicked into place. And from that moment on we’ve felt like much better dog owners because of it. Our puppy is calmer, more confident and happier. And honestly it’s all because we are now calmer, more confident and happier. Nigel might have come to teach the puppy. But really he taught us. He is definitely the dog trainer you’re looking for.

When I contacted Nigel I was at the end of myself with Toffee. My Labrador was attacking other dogs and I was scared to leave the house. Nigel came and was a breath of fresh air. He was sensible kind and quite simply his methods work. In 2 lessons toffee was a changed dog and he showed me workable methods to change her behaviour. He transformed our whole life with toffee and we are all just so grateful to him. Our family could not recommend him enough. It was a complete game changer. Thanks so much Nigel.

Our session with Nigel was excellent. We booked him to come and help with our beloved French Bulldogs who have been quite unsettled after a house move and various major shifts in our routine. His approach is smart, straight forward, and based on simple principles which felt intuitive and easy to follow. Beside from all the intriguing theory and animal behaviour psychology, Nigel’s practical approach is excellent. Watching him get our dogs walking at heel, after years of increasingly chaotic lead-pulling, was quite a revelation. And then showing us how to help our dogs stop behaving anxiously and aggressively around noisy appliances was another practical example of how effective his approach is. I would absolutely recommend Dog Training in London with Nigel Reed The Dog Guardian to anybody looking to simply learn more about their animals, or really address serious issues with their pooch(es).

I have worked with Rima for going on 3 years now, we recently spent 6 months in New York and even then we could not find anyone that came even close. Her knowledge and patience with training our 3 dogs has changed our whole mindset with regards to handling the dogs and understanding their behaviour. All 3 are rescue dogs and came from pretty rough backgrounds and she has completely transformed their behaviour and made us feel completely confident and safe in the whole process. Thanks Rima

I enjoyed my session with Rima immensely. I got her in because Elsa my rescue dog was very very reactive to all sorts of things- motorbikes, strangers, other dogs. She made training very easy to understand and gave me some great management strategies. She has been a massive support and is always responsive when I reach out. We still have a bit of work to do but there is a massive improvement and things in general are much much calmer and definitely more manageable.

I’m so grateful to Rima for the amazing progress my dog Molly has made. Molly has always been anxious, and I often felt helpless seeing her stressed, but from our very first session Rima was patient, compassionate, and clearly understood what Molly needed to feel safe. She gave me practical tips I could use straight away, explained everything clearly, and was very knowledgeable. Molly is now more confident, calmer, and able to enjoy situations that used to overwhelm her, and I can’t recommend Rima enough for anyone with an anxious dog.

Roland's dog training was an extraordinary success. I didn't think it would be possible to make this much progress so quickly and I thought our dog may not manage. Roland's course is excellent though. In particular it focusses on training dogs for real world environments where there are distractions and there's lots of opportunity to socialise with other dogs. Couldn't recommend it enough! Definitely give it a go.

Just recently I contacted the London Dog Training Centre to arrange a session for our sprollie puppy, Millie, who is now ten months old. Although we are pleased with her behaviour, she still pulls hard on the lead. To be honest we’ve tried every leash going or we thought we had. After asking a few questions, Roland advised we use a figure-of-eight lead. Let me just say it’s a game-changer and for the first time Millie has walked without pulling and her head up. It’s early days I know, and it may not work for everyone, but that phone call has, for the first time, made dog-walking a pleasure. Thank you Roland, we will be seeing you soon.

Very effective training, the classes teach you stuff that is actually really useful, like recall and walking nicely on and off the lead. Our miniature dachshund puppy took to the classes very well, and learned everything very quickly. The trainer is happy to answer any questions and help with your individual problems, and gives very useful advice.

Top notch advice and honesty! Had a call where he gave me great advice and told me (correctly) that my issue didn't require buying a bunch of sessions -- when other dog trainers were trying to sell me packages for thousands of dollars.

Popular spaces like Primrose Hill and Hampstead Heath demand excellent recall and social skills, as dogs encounter hundreds of other canines weekly.

Comprehensive Dog Training Solutions for Camden Residents

Puppy Training and Early Socialisation

Our puppy programmes focus on the critical 8-16 week socialisation period, exposing young dogs to Camden's diverse urban environment including market crowds, canal boats, street musicians, and varied surfaces. Training covers essential commands, house training for flat living, and controlled socialisation sessions in locations like Parliament Hill Fields, building confidence that prevents future anxiety issues.

Reactive Dog Rehabilitation

Camden's high dog density often triggers reactivity issues. Our behaviour modification programmes address leash reactivity on busy pavements, barrier frustration, and fear-based responses. Using positive reinforcement and desensitisation protocols, we work in challenging environments like the Regent's Canal towpath and Camden High Street, teaching dogs calm responses to triggers they encounter daily throughout the borough.

Advanced Recall and Off-Lead Training

For dogs ready to progress beyond basics, our advanced training develops reliable off-lead control essential for enjoying Hampstead Heath, Primrose Hill, and Parliament Hill safely. We build bombproof recall despite wildlife, picnickers, and other dogs, ensuring your companion responds reliably whether on the Heath's meadows or quiet residential streets near Swiss Cottage.

Dog Training FAQs for Camden Dog Owners

How much does dog training cost in Camden?

Dog training in Camden typically costs £55-85 per hour for private sessions, reflecting the borough's central location. Group classes range from £18-28 per session, while comprehensive puppy programmes average £250-400 for 6-8 weeks. Many trainers offer initial consultations for £40-60, and package deals provide better value for ongoing training needs.

Where are the best places to train dogs in Camden?

Hampstead Heath offers excellent off-lead training opportunities with varied terrain and controlled distractions. Primrose Hill provides a more compact space ideal for recall work, while Regent's Park's quieter northern sections work well for lead training. The Regent's Canal towpath offers perfect real-world distraction training, and early mornings at Parliament Hill Fields provide space for reactive dog work before crowds arrive.

Can my dog be trained to handle Camden Market crowds?

Yes, dogs can be systematically desensitised to Camden Market's intensity through gradual exposure training. We start at quieter times and locations, progressively introducing busier periods and denser crowds. Training focuses on loose-lead walking, ignoring food smells, and maintaining calm focus despite noise and activity. Most dogs adapt within 6-10 sessions, though individual progress varies based on temperament and previous experiences.

Expert Dog Training for Camden's Urban Environment

Professional dog training in Camden creates confident, well-mannered companions capable of thriving in this vibrant borough's unique environment. Whether you're navigating weekend crowds near Camden Lock, enjoying walks on Hampstead Heath, or living in a Kentish Town flat, expert training ensures your dog adapts successfully to urban life while remaining a joy to live with and a welcome presence throughout the community.
