Alasdair was absolutely brilliant with my overly enthusiastic newfoundland! I recently adopted Isla and found she had a rigid habit of saying hello to every dog and getting frustrated if she couldn't. Isla would lunge and throw herself around causing quite the scene as she weighs 60kg😅 . Alasdair was calm, patient, and had effective and simple techniques with an almost immediate effect of how to prevent Isla from reacting. I now really love my walks and her distance of getting frustrated has decreased from very far away to just a couple of meters. This evening she met a few dogs and she trotted past a small chihuahua a few meters away and disengaged on her own. I am so happy but more importantly, relieved to have found Alasdair. He makes owning a dog fun again.
We were recommended Alasdair from a work colleague. Ever since the 1st training session, we felt listened to as a family, took on concerns we had around our dog, Petra’s, pulling on the lead, reactivity to other dogs and people on her walks, as well as her reactivity towards people chapping our door. After each session we were given homework to do, which Petra thrived with each time. Alasdair was like the dog whisperer - we couldn’t believe the difference after only a couple of sessions. It’s like we now have a completely different dog, she walks like an absolute dream on the lead, is no longer reactive to dogs/people whilst on walks, and is improving with people chapping the door. We cannot thank Alasdair enough for all of his help - Petra already misses the chicken bits!
Excellent advice, and support for our rescue border collie. Several visits and lots of practice later, he listens to us and, mostly, does what he is told thanks to Alasdair's training help
We started using Alasdair for my Maltese pup Mia not long after her 6 month birthday in August 2023. We’ve been using Alasdair for just over a year now and his work has been amazing! We had our dog mostly trained however, there were a few things we needed help with. Our dog was struggling with toilet training and would often have accidents in the house. Alasdair was able to provide us with tips on how to get her going to the toilet outside and within a visit or two she was successfully toilet trained. She also struggled with reactivity to bigger dogs (her having wee man syndrome as we refer to it). Alasdair was extremely accommodating and would meet either at the house or at our usual walking route. Alasdair got to know our dog from day one and she still completely adores him. Alasdair would assess her issues whilst out on a walk and he listened to any concerns we had and eased them. We were extremely reluctant to letting her off but Alasdair was able to provide lots advice regarding recall and we’re now happy that she is able to walk off lead and listens to recall as it has given her more independence and freedom. Alasdair is not only there to train the dog but he also creates a special bond with owners and trains them on how to then train the dog in his absence. Walking our dog is now a special time as he has increased our confidence and never made us feel embarrassed. My Mother-in-law got a pup a year after we had brought ours home and our dog wasn’t too keen on him and we were extremely worried as we felt that we couldn’t enjoy time together anymore. Alasdair worked with both of us and the dogs to ensure that they got along. Before Alasdairs work we couldn’t have them in the same room together but now they chill out together for hours on end! We will always be grateful of Alasdairs work and it’s good to know that is only at the end of the phone if we require any further training or assistance. We throughly enjoyed the sessions with Alasdair as did my dog and every session was knowledgable. Alasdair is someone to lean on when you are struggling with training and will alleviate your worries. Alasdair will make a serious difference to you and your dog and I would highly recommend him! Thank you Alasdair! We will miss your sessions as will Mia🐾🐶
Absolutely thrilled with the work Alasdair has done with our beagle, Zoey! Beagles aren’t exactly known for their recall, but thanks to Alasdair’s expert training and calm, consistent approach, Zoey now has excellent recall and can confidently be off-lead—even in busy places like Kelvingrove Park! He clearly understands how to work with a dog’s instincts rather than against them, and Zoey absolutely loved her training sessions. We’ve gone from being nervous to let her off the lead to watching her run, explore, and return on command with confidence. Couldn’t recommend Alasdair highly enough—he’s genuinely transformed our walks!

Thank You So Much! I highly recommend this absolutely amazing dog trainer to everyone. Her knowledge and guidance are second to none. What we once thought was the impossible, she not only helped us achieve — she helped us go far beyond it. Her incredibly detailed advice on how, why, and when to do things completely changed the way we think about and understand our fur baby and his behaviours. She taught us how to connect with him in a way we never thought possible. As a family, we can’t thank her enough for helping us through a time when things felt chaotic and out of control. Our wee fur baby may have been wild, but with her help, training and guidance, we now have calm, connection, and confidence. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Aileen visited my family for three sessions to advise on safe interactions between my dog and baby granddaughter. She spent time with my dog and family on each occasion, listening and giving advice on anything we raised as a concern or asked questions about. She then followed up each visit with an e mail outlining our session and gave us helpful links to reading materials and informative articles she had written. If you are looking for friendly, responsive and helpful advice, that is focussed on positive outcomes for your dog and the humans involved then I highly recommend Aileen!
I can’t thank Aileen enough for the help she gave me with our spirited cockapoo puppy, Willow. She gave me great tips and took the time to explain everything for me to better understand Willows behaviour. Our last session off the lead walking was a huge success and gave me the confidence of knowing how to train Willow. I can honestly say I’ve gone from not enjoying dog walks much at all to it now being my favourite thing to do, she is so well behaved and I love to watch her enjoying the walks, all while doing as I ask. I would highly recommend Aileen for anyone looking for advice on their pups!
We booked 3 one to one sessions with Aileen for our boy Brann who is a larger than life one year old Labrador. Bran struggled on the lead and pulled especially when seeing people and other dogs. Aileen’s calm and warm attitude was immediately apparent when we met, and her professional approach and wealth of knowledge ensured that Brann and I were in capable hands. Even after the first session I could see some changes in Brann’s behaviour and levels of anxiety. After each session were given follow up work and new strategies to use which centred on Brann’s individual needs, and of course my own. Brann continues to progress well on the lead, when meeting other dogs, and with his recall. We are delighted with him and feel confident he is well on track. We would highly recommend Aileen who is probably one of the best in the business. As the saying goes “ you get what you pay for “ James and Eleanor Kerr
I highly recommend Aileen. She was friendly and very accommodating for us. Our Romanian rescue has definitely gained confidence and we continue to work on his issues with Aileens great advice. We had 3 sessions and after each one we received a tailored email and she responded swiftly to any of our queries. Thanks for all your help Aileen!

Mark has been working with my dog over the past few months on his behaviour, lead walking and recall. We have noticed such a difference in Mikey since starting our training block and the information and techniques Mark has given us has been so useful! Cant thank you enough Mark!
Couldn’t recommend Mark enough! Have been taking our 6 month old Border Collie puppy from 14 weeks and it has been a game changer. We went for the Puppy Development Pack and it’s been great for Fig. What’s great about Mark is that he will listen and focus on what is important for you and what you would like out of the sessions. Sessions are spread out at recommended intervals which were super accurate. By the time your next one came round you had bits to work on and at no point felt forced into too regular sessions. We had never planned on taking our first dog to a trainer but it’s been the best decision we made. Also, Mark is genuinely one of the nicest guys which really helps to make sessions enjoyable for dog & owner.
Mark has been the best thing for our boy Frank. We've been going to him since Frank was 14 weeks old and hes now 9 months. Mark helped us with issues like resource guarding and pulling on the lead. He's taught us so much from basic commands to structured play and target work. I cant recommend Mark enough and neither can Frank! He's an amazing dog trainer and owner trainer!
Marks knowledge & expertise is second to none. We’ve throughly enjoyed working with him for the past few months. He genuinely wants you & your dog to succeed during each training session & sets you both up for success. Thanks for all your help & support, we’ll definitely be back in the future for some fine tuning/pack walks!
Can't recommend Mark enough! Me, my partner and our 11 month old lurcher Kodi, have been working with him since February. We were looking for some guidance with typical puppy behaviour and that's exactly what we got. Kodi absolutely loves his 1 to 1 sessions with Mark and with his help he's continuing to learn and improve.

Donna is amazing i have had 2 session with with my 7 month labrador and what a change in his behaviour, would highly recommend Donna for her knowledge ,patience. Donna has not only helped with Rocco’s confidence but also with my confidence. If I could give more than 5 stars I definitely would. Thank you so much Donna 😀
We had our first session with Donna a few weeks ago and we had a positive experience from the first contact. She is knowledgeable, experienced and showed an incredible kindness to our dog who needs support with reactiveness. She was patient and took time to explain everything clearly, what she was doing and why whilst showing us how. We learned so much just in one session and the notes that followed were detailed, personalised with lots of ideas of starting points and how we might progress with training. These notes are excellent as a reference point and for keeping us on track with training. We are starting to see small progressions which we were unsure we would see. She was realistic and honest about supporting a high level of reactivity and how that might affect our dog now and in the future which we appreciated. Would 100% recommend, thanks so much Donna!
Incredible insight and guidance all the way with Donna. Encouraged me to watch for subtle cues and act on them rather than allowing unwanted and potentially overwhelming cycles of behaviour to spiral. Incredible progress with separation anxiety - my 10 month old lad was 6.5 months old when he started and I couldn't get to the door without him whining and stressing. He's currently able to entertain himself and snooze for well over 3 and 3/4 hours and counting now. A compassionate, positive, intelligent and effective trainer. Highly recommended!!!!
Donna has been an incredible helping us with our little puppy Winnie. She is extremely knowledgeable and happy to answer every question we had (and we had a lot!) During our 1 to 1 sessions, we discussed the challenges we were having and worked on some tailored exercises. Donna would take notes and after each session, she provided an incredibly detailed follow-up document filled with clear instructions and exercises, making it easy to review and practice everything at home. We could really see her knowledge and passion for dog training coming out during out sessions. The level of detail and support is outstanding, and we are so grateful for her guidance in setting Winnie up for success. Thank you very much, and we would highly recommend to anyone bringing home a new puppy!
Donna is absolutely fab! She communicated with me in the run up to our training session so clearly and gave me a really clear idea of what to expect. She is so friendly and my dog, Mack, loved her. When it came to the session itself, she was so good at explaining things and was so patient with Mack and me and helped us understand his reactivity and offered some strategies to practice as well. Super friendly and informative all at the same time. Donna made me feel optimistic about the future and even followed up with incredibly comprehensive notes to refer back to. I wouldn't hesitate to call on her for more advice in future. 😊

Steven worked with our puppy between 12 and 17 weeks. He was really great at explaining the ultimate goal for certain behaviours but then setting realistic expectations for a puppy at this age. The importance of keeping training fun and engaging was emphasised. There was a good balance between learning the essentials that Steven advised, while also allowing us to request help with certain topics or situations. We feel well equipped to continue our puppy’s training!
Stephen worked wonders with our mini poodle Peggy and she absolutely loved him. We worked with him twice, firstly as a young puppy and then later as a teenage terror and I would have no hesitation in recommending Stephen (and have done!). He also provided loads of encouragement, advice and support to me who probably needed more training than wee Pegs. 5 stars 🌟
If I could give more stars I would ! I can’t recommend Steven enough as a dog trainer and feel very lucky to have met him. I have a nervous rescue puppy and the challenges we faced have felt overwhelming at times but thanks to regular & interesting 1-2-1 sessions as well as group classes, my Ollie is making such amazing progress. He loves his time with Steven and it’s fantastic to see Ollie quickly learn from the training, and tips I’ve been given. It’s also been a learning curve for me too but Steven has kept me right by being so knowledgeable, incredibly patient and understanding, answering my many questions. A big thank you to the Training lead !!
Stephen has been part of my anxious \nervous pup’s journey literally from day one , when he came out to help with Yoshi’s very first fear ~ the stairs. Since then, we have attended both group classes with him and Lanette, as well as one-on-one sessions to build Yoshi’s confidence and practice obedience. The one-on-one sessions have been extremely helpful for understanding your dog's behavior. Thanks to Stephen’s knowledge, patience, and easy-to-understand guidance, Yoshi has improved tremendously and is much more comfortable in the world! While training is always ongoing, Stephen has given me the tools to manage my dog and has been wonderful to Yoshi. He’s not only an exceptional trainer for dogs but also a trainer for owners. I highly recommend Stephen for any issues, from obedience to behavioral problems like a dog with an anxious disposition. Working with him and Lanette has been a pleasure! If you need help with your dog, look no further. Stephen will go above and beyond and your dog will absolutely love him! Yoshi and I thank you so much!
Both myself and my sister attended several sessions in Kelvingrove park that really helped with managing our dog’s behaviour. I think the biggest gain is definitely the focussed time spent working with our dog’s that really helped build a closer relationship with them 😊
