Excellent Puppy and Bronze training with my lively sprocker spaniel. Helpful and very friendly staff
Really enjoyed our sessions . Leo got a lot out of the time and my husband and I would thoroughly recommend the training course.
I highly recommend South Coast Dog training. Louise has a great depth of knowledge and experience in a wide range of training and behavioural situations. Albie and I enjoy going to her classes.
I am delighted to have found this training school for my very bouncy Labrador. He completely loves going to the class and it has given him a frame of reference that takes the stress out of everyday outings. Fantastic results and a very happy dog. Thank-you Louise!
Great instructors, very friendly, small group - practically one-to-one - def recommend

Joana has been so helpful. My dog loved her and she has helped me immensely over just 3 sessions. I have learnt a lot which I will continue to use with my cheeky puppy /teenager . She gave me lots of great tips and advice as well If you are looking for a friendly, knowledgeable dog trainer , then Joana is your girl
Joana is brilliant! Very flexible, knowledgeable and friendly. We had some issues with a rehomed 6yr old dog and the change in just a few sessions has been remarkable. Milo absolutely loves the sessions and Joana is always available should we have questions between sessions.
Joana is a dog genius. She’s been working with our very challenging puppy Milo for several months now, and the difference she has made to our relationship with him is fantastic. We’ve learned so much, and Milo loves nothing more than when she comes round!
We contacted Joana to get some help with helping to socialise our dog and cat, our dog was very vocal and wanted to chase our cat constantly. With Joana’s help, she taught us simple techniques to rewrite those behaviours with positive reinforcement training. It has taken a lot of time and patience but the training has really paid off and now we have confidence that our pets feel more confident and safe around each other. Joana was very professional, friendly and has such a great wealth of knowledge and experience. We are very grateful for all the guidance and would not hesitate to recommend Muddy Trails to anyone in need of help training their dog (or cat!)
I got in touch with Joana through a recommendation for help with my puppies frustration reactivity. Joana has been amazing in giving me tips and on how to approach things in a friendly and manageable way. I am now more confident in my approach on what to do and have seen massive improvements in my dogs behaviour. Would 100% recommend Joana to anyone looking for help with their dogs.

Beth was great with my puppy, he came home happy and content and clearly had a nice time. Beth sent me lots of videos and pictures and reassured me as was the longest I’ve left him.
Beth is the loveliest person nothing is ever any bother, my dog absolutely loves her and going on walks with her she’s amazing, reasonably priced compared to most other dog walkers! Highly recommend her services to anyone who has a dog ☺️
I honestly don't know what I'd do without Beth - our fairy dogmother! My dog always enjoys her walks with Beth and is always extremely happy to see her. Beth has so much experience with dogs and I know my dog is in really good hands. If you need a dog walker then I would really recommend you contact Beth 🙂!
Great service my dog loves the time he spends with Beth and I know he’s safe and happy.
My dog loves her walks with Beth and the other dogs she takes to her paddock. She is very knowledgeable about animals and sends pictures of the walks everyday!

I cannot recommend Graham and South Coast Gundogs enough. I have a sprocker who of a complicated nature. He was scared of life itself, anything and everything, including people. I thought he would spend his life on a long line as his recall wasn't good, his walk to heal wasn't good either, walking off lead was not to bad. After 1-2-1 with Graham, we now have lovely off lead walks, brilliant recall, emergency down, brilliant walk to heal and a very happy dog. We throughly enjoy our walks. If you decide to take your dog training with Graham at South Coast Gun Dog, please take everything that you are told and keep with it, you WILL get what you want. Thank you Graham, from a very happy owner and dog.
Over the last 6 months myself and Ember have attended Grahams Puppy Classes, Bronze and Silver Obedience and a number of 1-1 sessions . Graham has helped us attain a level I could only dream of. Ember is so much happier and free to run without me worrying about her recall . I would highly recommend Graham as trainer and his classes are so informant and hands on, achieving change for the better very quickly . Thank you so much , we will be back after the summer . Phil & Ember
Graham has performed wonders with my high prey driven black Labrador, Lyra. Lyra is a remarkable little dog, but her love for chasing birds made it difficult for her to recall reliably. I used to have to keep her on a long line during walks out of fear that she would run off, get hurt, or harm another animal. However, after just 6 training sessions with Graham, both Lyra and I now have the liberty to roam and savor our walks. Thanks to Graham's guidance, I finally have the well-behaved dog I've always dreamed of. Thank you so much!
Graham is an amazing dog trainer! Unlike the previous 5(!!) trainers I'd used, he tailored his approach specifically for my dog and his issues. After 6 sessions with him, I could finally walk my dog on a lead, and have a reliable recall, after 2 years of other trainers. I genuinely can not recommend him enough! Thanks Graham!
I first went to Graham for a block of 1 to 1s after struggling with my adolescent Springer’s recall and engagement on walks, and we have now done the Bronze obedience course too. In both 1 to 1 and group sessions he gave straightforward advice and instructions that helped me understand my dog’s behaviour and how to train him more effectively. Eddie is now a pleasure to walk off-lead and we are making progress with not pulling on lead too. Graham doesn’t promise quick fixes, and gives genuinely honest advice when you need it (always with good humour) and his training has worked for us - that’s why I’d recommend him and why we’ll be going back for gun dog classes next.

Sarah-Jane helped me understand how to train Pablo through positive-reinforcement techniques and how consistency is key to channeling his abundant amount of energy in the right direction. Sarah-Jane is calm and natural in her approach and Pablo and I really enjoyed our sessions together. 5 * rating from us!
Sarah-Jane is fantastic. I contacted her as we are having increasing issues with our reactive miniature dachshunds with walks and trips to the vets leaving me frustrated and tearful and on the verge of giving up. From the very first meeting she was amazing, she showed patience and kindness and really took the time to get to know me, Maisie and Milo. Every time she came to visit the dogs greeted her like an old friend and were eager to join in with the new games. I learnt a lot about dog psychology and how they develop which helped me to understand their behaviour and approach things in a different way. Every new game was fun and engaging for the dogs and they were quick to learn skills. But it wasn’t all theory we all went to the park together and it was brilliant to have guidance as we put the theory into practice. We can now go to the vet without terrorising every other animal in the waiting room and walks are much better. Thank you Sarah-Jane, we are missing our training sessions. Lucy, Maisie and Milo.
If you are looking for a caring, exceptional dog trainer look no further. Sarah-Jane has been patient, friendly, caring and professional dog trainer. Would very highly recommend. She’s been brilliant with my two.
Sarah-Jane has been a massive help with training my puppy dachshund, Milo. As a first time dog owner I didn’t know where to start. Sarah-Jane supported us with settling Milo in after we got him, separation worries and when Milo started showing signs of reactivity. Sarah-Jane was always on hand, just a WhatsApp message away to answer any questions or worries I had. I would 100% recommend her!
From the day Bracken turned 6 months old his recall went out the window, it got to the point where we were scared to let him off lead - he never ran off as such but would get onto a scent and totally forget his name, the fact we were there, and would just be off sniffing. We wanted him to be off lead and do the things that spaniels do but we wanted for him to come back to us when we called him for his safety more than anything. We decided to get some expert help on how to deal with it and as soon as I found Barker & Hound I knew Sarah was the right person to help us. I instantly had a good vibe just from reading through her website and learned that’s it’s all about building a relationship and bond with your dog. Sarah is absolutely lovely and you can clearly see how much she loves her job, she’s brilliant with Bracken and he responded well to her straight away. Training started with some games - it’s all about having fun both for you and your dog and building that bond. Bracken loved playing the “weather” games and I had lots of fun playing them with him. He was always shattered after a session, and was always very excited to see Sarah. A few months down the line, lots of training and fun and games and hard work and patience and we have a totally different dog. Bracken is so much more calmer and engages with us all the time, something I had never noticed before we started his training. It will be an ongoing process but we now let him off lead and he’s been brilliant, something I never thought would happen. Bracken received a certificate and rosette once he had completed his training - you can see in the photo how proud he is, and I’m extremely proud of him too. We still play the games as he loves them and it keeps his brain working. Thank you so much Sarah, you’ve been absolutely brilliant and are amazing at what you do. If we ever need help again in the future we will definitely be in touch. If anyone is looking for an amazing dog trainer/behaviourist who is professional, friendly, very knowledgeable and doesn’t judge you at all then please get in touch with Sarah she’s the absolute best.
