These puppy training classes were excellent! I use a rollator to walk and Kathryn helped me change exercises to accommodate my needs and adjust to doing them with my rollator. The classes were detailed, plenty of opportunity for questions or extra help and taught the basics of puppyhood such as the following commands: Sit, stay, recall, leave it, heel work, focus on owner, etc. The classes were a maximum of 5 which was a lot better and meant Kathryn could give each of us the individual attention and provide alternative ways, adjustments and methods of training. She showed the value of high value versus lower value treats and how to slowly reduce value, quantity and need for treats as we progress and to replace with affection instead of treats. At the end, we got a certificate and rosette for completing the class. I would highly recommend this puppy class for new puppy parents.
Great course. Learned a lot and would recommend it.
Had a great experience with Luna at puppy training, Luna has gained some great skills and I have also learnt a lot in dog behaviour. Highly recommend.
Kathryn is a fabulous trainer, the whole puppy training course was so enjoyable. We were all made to feel welcome and comfortable. The easy way in which Kathryn explains things helps you feel confident and motivated to work with your pup. We loved every minute - wish it was a bit longer though as it was so good.
Kathryn is a brilliant trainer. We struggled to get our dog onto a puppy training course and Kathryn suggested the Gun Dog Training Stage 1 as an alternative. This was perfect as we learnt basic commands and developed our bond. We now have the skills needed to manage a very active young dog. We loved it!

Brilliant from start to finish. If you're having training problems look no further. Can't recommend enough!
I am beyond grateful for the 1-1 training Emily provided for my two Italian greyhounds and have seen real improvement with reactivity and prey drive, which was proving challenging when on walks and in public. Emily taught the basic skills of positive reinforcement and more importantly the need for rest days!! I was initially skeptical of rest days due to the amount of energy my dogs have, however Emily showed us how we can use scent work and field hire to exert energy in different ways away from triggers. This has been eye opening and I am so grateful as are my two! They are much more settled and not as stressed when in the home or out on walks. Working from home is becoming much easier too. I have learnt the power of my words and ones that work for them, that they will respond to. Emily was able to put the effort in to my two simultaneously, catering for their unique needs. I am so grateful for the support Emily has provided and on going support if needed which is super reassuring. The improvements I have seen so far has been life changing for all of us and with continued practice will make perfect. Thank you Emily! I couldn’t recommend enough. 5*! We’ve recently had a set of puppy 121’s with Emily to make sure we start off on the right foot with our new Collie cross. Emily has been great to work with, totally flexible in her approach and the training is completely tailored to our pups needs. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and look forward to attending some of the varied classes she runs in the near future.
Booked Emily for 4 sessions for my border collie puppy Nelly who is a car chaser . Emily was warm friendly helpful and very knowledgable . She pointed me in the right direction and added that consistency is the key . She was also very patient with me as I don’t absorb information easily and struggle with consistency too. The car chasing still very much work in progress but will continue working on it . Would highly recommend Emily to anyone needing help with their 4 legged friend . Thanks Emily
Emily is an excellent trainer, with real in depth knowledge and experience in applying positive reinforcement. She worked with me and my typical teenager lad who is pulling a lot on the lead and whose recall has got very unreliable. She went through lots of different tools that we could use, tailoring them to suit the fact he is awkwardly not that food motivated. He really enjoyed the session and I got a lot out of it too. Would totally recommend.

Dawn is an amazing dog handler/trainer. She is very enthusiastic, and realistic regarding each dog's ability. Understanding that most of our dogs are pets we want to be happy, sociable animals. She is encouraging, and always very positive. My dog even entered obedience in competitions! Very unusual for a Pug!!! I highly recommend Preston Trick Dogs.
Dawn is knowledgeable and intuitive trainer with good knowledge or a variety of dog sports including tricks, heelwork to music and obedience. A qualified Good citizen assessor and brilliant empathetic understanding of dogs and how to communicate information to handlers in an easily understandable way.

Harrison’s Dog Training was recommended by our local vet as an experienced positive skills based trainer. We chose the Pet Gun Dog classes for our Labrador, to work on engagement and impulse control. She has thoroughly enjoyed all the activities and it has been great to see her use her working dog brain in a fun, force free environment. We would highly recommend Harrison’s Dog Training for all breeds of dog, as there are classes for many different abilities and ages.
Very patient and understanding with our reactive dog Flora
Highly recommend these puppy classes our puppy has enjoyed them very much and we both have learned a lot which will definitely be helpful going forward *****
Having taken on a rescue from Romania we were beginning to despair if we could ever get him to settle and behave but Myles gave us the tools and the confidence that made the difference. We now have a more contented and well behaved dog. It takes dedication but with Myles help and support it has been so worth it.
Have been using Harrisons since my dog was 3 months old. Started with puppy class, moving onto Bronze awards and also had some 1-2-1 support. Myles has great knowledge in dog training and behaviours. Together with Tina and their doggy helpers make a great team and i would highly recommend for a dog of any age and ability.

We got your new 6 month old chocolate lab when our dearly loved previous one died and quickly realised we needed some assistance. Charlotte filled us with confidence and pointed us in the right direction with targeted lessons and learning strategies. Thanks Charlotte.
Mabel having fun with Jimmy the foster dog she lived with for 2 weeks due to not coping in kennels. We went for a visit last week she had an amazing time running off lead and playing. Amazing how far she has come in the 3 and a bit months we have had her with the help of Charlotte as we had no idea how to help with her nervousness and anxiousness and she was scared of her own shadow at the beginning . She has come so far Even walked through preston town centre and went on the train station 😍who’d have thought . She is turning into an amazing dog 🐾❤️ xx I have no hesitation in recommending Charlotte if you have an issues with your dogs- worth every penny to see Mabel enjoying life 😍
Totally impressed with Charlotte and her training methods and understanding of our needs and Pixie, our reactive Lancashire Heeler, needs. By putting her advice in place we have had a lot of success together and people have been amazed where once they saw a barking nervous/aggressive dog, they now see a great improvement. Everyone has asked "what magic is this"? "It's Charlotte" I happily reply.
Charlotte has a lovely approach, her methods are kind and effective, transformed my dog’s unruly behaviour 👍
We want to say a huge thank you to Charlotte for all her help with our miniature dachshund, Pickle. We reached out to Charlotte for help with Pickle’s fear aggression towards children, other dogs, cats, the hoover, the mop - you name it he probably didn’t like it! Charlotte has helped us so much to learn about Pickle’s behaviour and signs to look out for in terms of stress and fear, and ways to manage it. We can now go for a calm, relaxing walk without him barking at other dogs, trying to chase down cats and he can be comfortable around children whilst still having his boundaries! I can even hoover up without him trying to eat the hoover! Pickle is like a different dog now and he is a lot more comfortable in situations he would previously get stressed in, and in turn we are less stressed and no longer embarrassed by him going mad barking and lunging at everything he sees! Charlotte certainly knows what she is talking about, she’s also really lovely and has always been on hand when we message her with updates or for advice. She also helped to point out some fears our other dachshund, which he shows in different behaviour than Pickle so it’s been really useful to implement everything we have learnt for both our boys. We even took them on holiday and to the pub together, something we have never done before! Thank you so much Charlotte from all of us, you have been a superstar! 😊

We address leash reactivity on narrow pavements, barrier frustration, fear-based responses, and resource guarding using positive reinforcement techniques. Progressive training in local parks and walking routes builds tolerance, replacing reactive behaviours with calm focus even when encountering other dogs along popular walking areas like the Guild Wheel or Cuerden Valley Park trails.
Our advanced programmes develop reliable off-lead control essential for safely enjoying local open spaces. We build bombproof recall despite wildlife and distractions, incorporating distance commands and advanced lead work suitable for navigating Bamber Bridge's streets and parks, ensuring owners maintain complete confidence during exercise sessions.
