Had my first session with Forrest who worked with my 9 month old Doberdor. She engaged with him and I saw his leash walking progress there and then. Forrest gave me the tools that I needed to understand the way my dog thinks and I continued with her advice and techniques. Just two days after our session I was able to take my dog for a walk with him walking beside me without the need for his harness. I highly recommend Forrest!
Forrest came out to work with us and our 10-month-old puppy, Doug, who we’d been having a few challenges with. She took the time to discuss Doug’s behaviour and listen to my concerns. Throughout the session, Doug was completely engaged and seemed to have really clicked with Forrest. You can tell Forrest has extensive knowledge and her clear explanations made it easy for me to understand what to do. She took the time to answer any questions. Thank you so much Forrest for your guidance and advice! :)
Absolutely Brilliant, really knowledge, friendly and helpful Thanks again see you soon
Forrest is amazing with the help and support she has given in the first session. Given us something to work on before booking another session Thank you
Forrest visited our home and met Solomon our 9 month old Gerberian Shepsky. We asked for help with his nipping/mouthing/lead biting and various other things. Forrest listened and asked lots of questions about Solomon She really understood him and how to get the best out of our pup. We've been shown games to play to reduce the unwanted behaviour and so far so good. Forrest is coming for a walk with us next time to work on things like lunging and pulling. I know she'll have great advice and she'll be good company at the same time. She is a doggy genius!

Serving Tettenhall Wood, Upper and Lower Penn, Compton, and surrounding areas within WV6 postcodes, we've successfully trained over 800 dogs in the local community over the past eight years. Our expertise addresses the specific needs of Tettenhall dog owners, from navigating the popular walks around Wightwick Manor to enjoying off-lead exercise at Tettenhall Pool and the expansive Smestow Valley Local Nature Reserve.
Tettenhall's character as a semi-rural village within Wolverhampton creates distinct training requirements. The area's blend of historic streets, woodland walks, and open countryside means dogs need confidence navigating both village environments and natural spaces. Popular locations like Tettenhall Green, the Rock and surrounding lanes attract numerous dog walkers daily, making proper socialisation and recall training essential.
Our trainers specialise in preparing dogs for Tettenhall's unique environment, from the narrow pavements along Wergs Road to the wildlife-rich paths through Smestow Valley. We understand local challenges including meeting other dogs on woodland trails, navigating the village during busy school run times, and managing recall around the grazing sheep on Penn Common. With many Tettenhall properties featuring larger gardens compared to urban Wolverhampton, we also address issues specific to dogs with outdoor access.
We provide comprehensive dog training services across all Tettenhall neighbourhoods, covering WV6 postcode areas including Tettenhall Wood, Perton, Codsall, and nearby villages. Our trainers regularly work near local landmarks including St Michael's Church, Tettenhall College, the historic Tettenhall Towers, and throughout the residential areas surrounding Lower Street and Upper Street. We serve communities from Claregate through to Wightwick, bringing professional training directly to your home or preferred outdoor location, with initial consultations typically arranged within 48 hours.
Our puppy programmes build essential foundations during the critical 8-16 week period, introducing young dogs to Tettenhall's semi-rural environment including village traffic, woodland sounds, livestock, and the diverse activities around Tettenhall Green. Training covers house training, basic commands, and controlled socialisation in local parks, creating confident village dogs.
Tettenhall's excellent walking locations including Smestow Valley and Penn Common demand reliable recall. We develop off-lead reliability despite wildlife distractions, other dogs, and open countryside temptations, ensuring your dog responds consistently whether on Wightwick Manor's grounds or exploring woodland trails.
Our behaviour modification addresses leash reactivity on Tettenhall's popular walking routes and helps dogs learn calm responses when encountering others on narrow woodland paths or village pavements. Using positive reinforcement, we systematically build tolerance and focus in real-world Tettenhall locations.
Dog training in Tettenhall typically ranges from £35-65 per hour for private sessions, with 6-week programmes costing £250-450. Group classes average £15-25 per session. Local trainers often offer free initial consultations and mobile services throughout WV6 areas without additional travel charges.
Tettenhall offers excellent training locations including Smestow Valley Local Nature Reserve for distraction work, the open spaces around Tettenhall Pool, quieter paths through Tettenhall Wood, and Tettenhall Green for village environment training. Penn Common provides excellent recall practice with appropriate wildlife exposure.
Yes, livestock awareness training is particularly important in Tettenhall given the proximity to Penn Common's grazing animals and surrounding countryside. We provide specific training to ensure dogs remain calm and under control around sheep, horses, and cattle commonly encountered on local walks, preventing dangerous chasing behaviours.
Professional dog training in Tettenhall creates well-mannered companions perfectly suited to village life.
