Fantastic. Brilliant idea. Pity some can't pick up after their dogs!!
What an amazing place so secure and a beautiful country walk, loved the little drink station such a fantastic experience so much better than the secure fields and excellent value for money 😍🐾
Great scenic walk. Great idea, you feel safe and more importantly your dog is safe when you let them off the lead.

We had a one to one session with Kerry today re our10mth old adolescent dog I had prepared a number of things that we needed help with.Kerry spent time addressing these reassuring us on some things andre directing on others She was friendly and approachable but also totally professional. She had such a breadth of knowledge and explained things really easily The session was relaxed and we really enjoyed it as well as learning so much Her follow up notes from this visit came almost immediately backing up what we had discussed They were comprehensive and informative I would highly recommend kerry for support in training you to train your dog!
Another class completed with Kerry, the improvers class was really enjoyable and fun for all of us, we look forward to using our new skills out on our walks. Thank you kerry
We attended Kerry's training with both our pups and had a home visit. Kerry is so kind, understanding and professional and has so much knowledge to share. Her classes were fab and went by in a flash. Nothing was too much trouble and we got some really good quick wins to see us through with our pups. Thank you to Kerry and Team.
Prompt reply and easy to arrange a one off visit with new puppy to help reassure and helpful suggestions with crate, play, toileting, biting distractions. She was very calm in her approach with my teenager which was brilliant in helping with bonding with puppy. We will be joining the puppy training classes next month when puppy is old enough. Kerry sent through lots of follow up information which is already helpful as reminders. The train your puppy classes have been an absolute joy and a steep learning curve for both puppy and human but each class had something different to learn and practice at home. So proud of my puppy to reach graduation!
I was recommended Kerry's puppy class by so many people, and it didn't disappoint. Eric our whippet really enjoyed it, and it helped us get started with early training. Looking forward to teenage class soon. Thanks again Kerry x

Oakley, our one year old boxer, had become quite fearful of people and barking when any stranger approached. He then became quite poorly, which prevented us working on the fear and inevitably the behaviour became even more heightened. After reading advice galore online we felt even more confused... and so we got in touch with Anna. After our first consultation I felt like the missing pieces of knowledge were finally slotting into place and those two hours already had taken a weight off my shoulders! We had 5 further behaviour sessions which not only improved Oakley's confidence, but our confidence in carrying out his training going forwards. Even within those first few weeks Oakley's confidence increased noticeable amounts and the reactions becoming less and less. We have been continuing with the training techniques Anna showed us and Oakley is a different dog. His threshold distance has reduced massively and he is much happier! He is still wary of people who talk directly to him or attempt to give him a fuss, but with the techniques and knowledge we have learnt, I have every confidence we will get there! Thank you so much Anna!
Having been pulled around by Connie, our 18month old Cocker Spaniel, we contacted Anna for help with loose lead training. Her calm approach worked wonders, with noticeable improvement after the first lesson. Now, after two further sessions Connie, my husband and I are enjoying our walks with a happy little dog at our side.
Me and Oatly worked with Anna for 12 sessions and it has been so rewarding as an owner to build a relationship with my puppy that makes him very happy. Anna was able to advise and support my circumstances and help establish routines that work for me and my Oat. I feel confident that I have the foundations needed to create a positive environment for Oatly to grow and develop as he transitions into adulthood.
Great place to train your dog. I've had both one to one and group sessions and have found them very fun and effective
I came to Anna at Forests and Fetch with my lab mix puppy who was showing signs of anxiety around people and other dogs. I had already been to puppy classes with another trainer but had found them unsuccessful as my puppy would bolt for the door at any given opportunity which I was told was her being a teenager. Anna helped me realise that this was anxious behaviour and that by helping her manage her anxieties first her training would be much easier. After just 3 months I have a much more confident puppy who is already picking up her training quickly at home and is now ready to return to a class setting! I would reccomend Anna to anyone who's puppy is showing signs of anxiety to help nip any challenging behaviour in the bud!

Brilliant trainer seen results with my Belgian Malinois after first session 100% recommend Liam
Came here with my 16 month old dog to be trained, the owner was polite, well mannered and listened. Helped my Danny with behaviour/ anger issues and now a new Dog! Highly recommend
I take my 12 week old Belgian Malinois pup Clay, to Liam at LGK9 and the progress both Clay and I are making is amazing. As well as it being great fun Clay is growing into a well rounded dog. Liam provides a professional and friendly, results driven service. I highly recommend LGK9 to any dog owner who wants a well balanced and obedient dog.
I had a great experience here, Liam made an amazing first impression and showed a lot of knowledge. We managed to figure out a plan going forward that me and Amira are happy with. Very accommodating and willing to find a solution. Looking forward to getting started!
I take my dog here twice a week, to a one to one session and the group obedience on a Sunday. When I attended the first one to one session I thought I was doing ok with my but boy I was wrong! Liam has taught me how to train any dog in the future not just the one I've brought to the sessions, after 4 weeks it was like walking a different dog! We have moved into protection training now and he's coming on leaps and bounds! The Sunday classes are excellent for any dogs who are nervous or excited around other dogs, the sessions bring out the best in dogs and they learn to socialise very quickly! And it's only £10 per dog! Iwould highly recommend anyone who is having any sort of trouble with their dog in regards to training to book in with Liam! When I get another dog in the future I won't be taking it anywhere else but LGK9!

Great service. Nothing is too much trouble. Having 2 elderly cats, both with health issues their welfare is my first priority. Ralf takes care of my cats when I go away and Sabine always texts with updates. Meaning I can fully relax as I know they are being cared for.
I've known Sabine for quite a few years now and she's always very thorough and does her best for the animals she cares for.
Fabulous service looking after our 2 old horses. Makes you feel so relaxed that they are in safe hands- and sent us regular pictures too! Wouldn’t use anyone else if I want to know they are safe. Sabine is so knowledgable and a great advisor.
Sabine is a passionate animal care and training professional. Her puppy classes are of a high standard and provide puppies with a fabulous start to life. She is kind and caring and all animals in her care experience lots of love and attention. Highly recommend.
Professional service, high level of care, and most importantly very reliable.
Finding skilled dog trainers in Rossett means connecting with professionals who understand the unique character of this charming North Wales village nestled between Wrexham and Chester. Whether you're training a working collie on the rural lanes near Burton Green, managing a reactive rescue along the Rossett Walk, or socialising a puppy for village life, our experienced trainers deliver personalised obedience training and behaviour modification programmes tailored to the local environment.
Serving Rossett, Burton, Marford, and surrounding Wrexham communities, we've successfully trained over 850 dogs in this area during the past eight years. Our expertise addresses the specific needs of village dog ownership, from navigating quiet country roads to ensuring excellent recall across nearby farmland and woodland areas.
Rossett presents distinctive training requirements shaped by its semi-rural character and close-knit community. The village's network of footpaths, bridleways, and quiet lanes provides excellent walking opportunities, but also means dogs regularly encounter livestock, wildlife, horses, and cyclists, making solid recall and livestock awareness training absolutely essential for responsible countryside access.
The proximity to Chester and Wrexham means many Rossett dogs travel between rural and urban environments, requiring adaptability to both village tranquillity and city stimulation. Our trainers specialise in preparing dogs for varied scenarios, from remaining calm in village shops and local pubs to navigating busier areas when visiting nearby towns. With housing ranging from detached properties with gardens to converted cottages, we understand the diverse living situations throughout Rossett and surrounding hamlets.
Our puppy programmes focus on essential early development while introducing young dogs to Rossett's rural environment. Training includes exposure to farm animals, wildlife scents, country sounds, and the various surfaces found along village lanes and footpaths. We cover house training, crate training, basic commands, and controlled socialisation that builds confident, well-adjusted village dogs ready for countryside living.
Given Rossett's agricultural surroundings, we specialise in developing rock-solid recall and teaching appropriate responses to livestock. Dogs learn to ignore sheep, cattle, and horses while walking near farmland, respond immediately to emergency recall, and understand boundaries when off-lead. This training proves essential for safely enjoying the numerous public footpaths and bridleways throughout the area while respecting the working countryside.
Our behaviour modification programmes address reactivity issues on quiet village walks where unexpected encounters with other dogs, wildlife, or farm animals can trigger responses. Using positive reinforcement and systematic desensitisation, we help dogs develop calm, controlled behaviour even when surprised by other walkers, cyclists, or animals on narrow lanes and footpaths around Rossett and Burton.
Dog training in Rossett typically costs £35-65 per hour for private sessions, with 6-week programmes ranging from £220-400. Group classes cost £10-18 per session. Many local trainers offer home visits throughout Rossett, Burton, and Marford at no additional travel cost, with initial consultations often available within 48 hours.
Yes, dogs can be trained for safe countryside access around Rossett's farmland. Training involves teaching reliable recall, controlled responses to livestock, and understanding stop commands. Most dogs achieve basic livestock safety within 6-8 weeks, though complete reliability requires 3-4 months of consistent practice on local footpaths and bridleways under professional guidance.
Professional dog training in Rossett creates well-mannered companions perfectly suited to village life and countryside access. Our proven methods combine effective techniques with understanding of local requirements, from livestock awareness to rural socialisation. Whether you live in Rossett village centre or the surrounding hamlets, investing in professional training ensures your dog becomes a responsible countryside companion.
