We re-homed our Springer pup at 6 months of age, so there were unknown issues to manage. With Anita's knowledge of how dogs think and common sense, clear advice on how to deal with problems, after 12 months hard work, we're seeing Bumble develop into lovely, trusted hound - a big thank you from us!
Very professional dog trainer and always helpful.
Been training with Anita for over a year now and couldn’t be any more happier with how my dogs improving, such a positive way of training
Training with Anita fun and rewarding, she shows you another to train, read your dog and work around any issues you have, many a time I have walked away from training with a massive smile on my face! I would highly recommend her to anyone and have done so to a few
I would thoroughly recommend Anita as a dog trainer. She seems to know exactly what is needed to get the best out of both handler and dog and delivers this knowledge with patience and good humour. We have been doing mainly Gundog training and I have seen myself and both my dogs improve greatly over the last few months.

Kirsten was amazing with our nervous dog Gus, who is a rescue and had a run-in with a bike which left him in a very nervous state and unable to leave the house on foot (had to put him in the car to go for a walk). Kirsten's techniques are designed to build confidence and bring joy back into things which dogs find scary. It worked really well with Gus and he's now back to full confidence, loving walks and walking straight out the front door!
Had an amazing experience with Kirsten, I would highly really recommend her! She really helped me to teach my Chihuahua Meaka some good behaviours and to actually listen to me! Kirsten was really reliable, knowledgeable and extremely thoughtful. I was so pleased with Meaka progress over our sessions and saw behavioural change from the first session we had together. Thank you Kirsten for your help, now it’s on me to maintain the progress.
Kirsten is amazing with dogs, she has really helped up with our nearly 2 year old dog. We learnt so much just in 2 sessions would highly recommend to anyone looking for a dog trainer.
If you're looking for a calm & patient dog trainer then I would thoroughly recommend KF Dogs. Kirsten took her time to show & explain how to do some of the training with our new puppy, but more importantly she gave me the confidence to train the puppy when on my own. Absolutely recommend.
I highly recommend KF Dogs, Kirsten is a fantastic trainer, the games based training is great, from where Hank was at the start to where he is now is amazing, will continue to use what I have learnt going forward.

We've had a great time at Acer, our puppy has learnt lots and the trainers have always been really kind and helpful.
We have been doing a 12 week foundation course with Acer gun dogs. Today we passed our field test! It has been an absolutely amazing course, brilliant teachers and is taught in such a good way. I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if you want to develop a closer bond and understanding with your dog, there is nowhere else to go!
Acer cancelled my course subscription at short notice under a very unconvincing excuse. They are very unprofessional. CORRECTION: I called the owner's (insurance-related) reason given to me for cancelling my subscription "unconvincing". In his reply, the owner states a very different reason. He chose to intervene in a family situation and disrupt an imperfect but a balance nevertheless causing much emotional turmoil. To top it all off, he made public claims about my daughter. She or people who know her are likely to find his post. This is very insensitive to a child. I won't be drawn into discussing very personal and private affairs in public. It's right to keep this 1-star review here. If the attempt at family cancelling by Acer's owner happened to my family, it can happen to others.
Excellent classes. Really recommend them.
We have been training with Acer since our puppy Lola was 8 weeks old and the courses are fantastic. For our most recent courses on the beginner gun dog course we’ve had Nicole and she is just BRILLIANT as a trainer. She has the patience of a saint and will adapt all of her advice to the individual dog. There were times where Lola just didn’t want to do as she was told/was very distracted at the field with all the smells but Nicole always came up with ways to support and help us and never made it seem like an impossible task! The advice is always tailored to you personally and the experiences you’re going through with your own dog. We couldn’t recommend Acer enough!

Absolutely nothing negative to say! We went with some family, dogs, kids and adults! The kids had the best time playing in the pool with the dogs! It was like our own private hour long party! Everyone had a fantastic time and very tired humans and dogs afterwards. Perfect for our dog who is selective with his friends, he could run free swimming and playing ball to his hearts content!
As the weather was too warm for a normal walk, I booked an hour in the secure field with the pool. My dog, Mabel absolutely loved it, we will be back
So nice to have a swimming pool for dogs. Took my puppy there first time swimming felt safe.
Amazing enclosed dog field. Will 100% be returning

I recently took my reactive dog Winnie on one of Suppawt Dog Training’s supported walks, and I couldn’t be more impressed. Winnie struggles particularly with new people, especially men, so I was a little nervous going in. But Dan and his team were absolutely brilliant with him — calm, understanding, and patient every step of the way. It was a huge relief to be around like-minded dog owners who understand that not every dog has an easy ride. The walk was well-organised, pressure-free, and created a really safe space for both dogs and owners. For once, I didn’t feel like I had to explain or apologise for my dog’s behaviour — and that alone was worth it. Thank you Suppawt for making such a positive difference for both of us. We’ll definitely be back!
We had three sessions with Lily to iron out some of the behaviours with our dog that made it difficult for family members who arent dog fans - jumping up, overly excited behaviour and some food stealing from the kids! Its easy to read online advice but it cant compare to actually having someone tailor it to your dog, show you in real life and help you with your attempts. Its already made a difference and I'd definitely recommend!
I attended the recall workshop with my puppy. Lots of great advices! And a nice relaxed atmosphere.
I have been joining the group walks for a few weeks now and they are fantastic. Give brilliant advice, support and great understanding. I have seen a really improvement with my dogs behaviour and couldn't recommend them enough. They are very friendly and welcoming.
Nice and informal, good space for dog training

Our expertise addresses the unique challenges of dog ownership in this beautiful area, from navigating the A48 safely to enjoying off-lead exercise in nearby Forest of Dean trails.
Newnham presents distinct training requirements shaped by its rural character, proximity to the Forest of Dean, and close-knit community atmosphere. The village's location offers excellent access to woodland walks, riverside paths along the Severn, and open countryside, but also means dogs regularly encounter livestock, wildlife including deer and foxes, and the specific challenges of rural road safety on narrow lanes.
Our trainers specialise in developing reliable recall essential for safe enjoyment of Forest of Dean walks, livestock awareness for dogs in agricultural areas, and confidence-building for dogs who may be anxious around farm machinery or large vehicles on village roads. We understand local requirements including appropriate behaviour near grazing fields, respecting footpath etiquette, and ensuring dogs are well-mannered in Newnham's community spaces.
We provide comprehensive dog training services throughout Newnham (GL14 postcode area) and neighbouring villages. Our trainers work near local landmarks including Newnham Church, the historic High Street, and riverside areas along the Severn Estuary, utilising quiet lanes and accessible woodland edges for effective training sessions. Our puppy programmes build essential foundations while introducing young dogs to rural life in Newnham. Training covers basic obedience, recall development crucial for countryside walks, and systematic exposure to livestock, farm environments, and wildlife. Socialisation sessions help puppies develop confidence around the sights and sounds of village life, from tractors on the A48 to dogs in local community spaces.
For dogs enjoying Newnham's beautiful surroundings, reliable recall is essential. We develop bombproof recall despite distractions including woodland wildlife, other dogs, and interesting scents on Forest of Dean trails. Advanced training ensures your dog responds immediately even in high-distraction environments, providing the freedom to explore safely while maintaining complete control for their safety and that of local wildlife and livestock.
