We have been training our puppy Piper with Georgina since we first got her, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. Georgina was incredibly helpful from the very start, offering brilliant techniques that effectively curbed any unwanted behaviours in our new puppy. At just six months old, Piper is now a joy, thanks to Georgina’s expert guidance. We highly recommend Georgina to anyone looking for a skilled and supportive dog trainer!
We have been working with Georgina for the past 4 months since our two border collie puppies were just a few weeks old, and we cannot recommend her services highly enough. Georgina's training advice has been absolutely invaluable throughout our journey. We've picked up numerous practical tips that we've successfully implemented, making a real difference to our puppies' development and behaviour. We've really benefited from her approach in the one-to-one sessions, whether these are in the house or out on walks, we get to see her advice in action which makes the learning more effective for us and the dogs. One of the most helpful aspects is Georgina's follow-up after each session which provide detailed notes and links to the things discussed. Georgina has a natural way with dogs, and our puppies trust her and genuinely love working with her. They love the games, training techniques and behavioural methods she introduces and watching her model these help us to continue to work effectively between sessions. All in all we feel Georgina has been a lifesaver. If you're looking for a knowledgeable, caring and effective dog trainer we would wholeheartedly recommend Planet Dog and Georgina's services
Georgina has been invaluable in her help and support. We were first time dog owners and honestly had no idea what we were doing. She is worth every penny to help us understand our dogs needs and train him appropriately. Honestly couldn’t have coped without her and can’t recommend highly enough!!
My two year old rescue dog from Romania was a bit of a handful. Georgina has been immensely helpful. With just a few sessions of training US in how to train him, we now hopefully have the tools to help him with his best life. Thanks so much Georgina.
We've worked with Georgina a few times since getting our puppy and she's been great every time. She's clearly brilliant with dogs and really cares for them. Has given us a few tips, insights and various bits of advice that have been absolutely pivotal to our puppy's development and our sanity! Highly recommend, especially given Georgina's pricing is super reasonable.

Kate is excellent, after only one session my dog is more obedient. She is friendly, knowledgeable and explains things well. We are looking forward to further sessions already.
Alfie and I loved the puppy activity session with Kate yesterday. Good fun and I learned lots. Nice to meet other puppies too.
We had another great training session with Kate from Dogs Club. She made the class fun & interesting for both myself & my dog & gave clear, concise instructions & corrections to help us get the most out of the session. A follow up e-mail to summarise what we'd done was also a welcome touch to help us continue our training at home. Looking forward to our next session already. Thank you.
We have a (nearly) 4-month old Cocker Spaniel puppy. Kate visited us at home and then we had a follow up 1:1 lesson at Preston Park. Yesterday we attended our first group puppy training and agility class in Preston Park, which proved very successful and all the (5) puppies seemed to enjoy it. Kate's teaching is thorough and enthusiastic. She has a passion for what she does and she does it brilliantly. We're very glad we found her - thank you!
I 100% recommend working with Kate! My dog and I had two behavioural sessions with her - she was clear, supportive, positive and followed up with lots of useful information. She even managed to make it...fun!!

Vikki is such a great trainer. We loved the puppy classes and the home visit was so useful as Vikki tailored her advice to the breed and personality of our pup. Over those 5 sessions Vikki gave us SO many helpful tips and patiently answered all of our questions. We understand our dog much better as a result. Vikki even helped us with queries well after our classes had finished. Highly recommended.
Vikki is absolutely fantastic! From her very first home visit, she immediately put us at ease and gave us practical tips that set our puppy, Mable, and us on the right track. The weekly sessions were incredibly well-designed, informative, and fun for everyone. Vikki's expertise is so valuable that we've decided to continue working with her even after completing the course. Honestly, she's a must for any puppy owner, and her professional service is incredibly reasonably priced. Thank you, Vikki!
Cannot recommend Vikki’s puppy classes enough! We learned a huge amount, and our puppy had the most fun time. Vikki is very knowledgeable, gave great advice and sent us summaries and training videos after each lesson which were very helpful. Our puppy even got a certificate upon completing the course 🥰
Vikki's been great, really enjoyed the classes and the home visit made us feel confident.

I was having major problems trying to feed my new Miniature Schnauzer puppy, as he would spend ages dancing around his food bowl, but not actually eating, it was very strange and worrying behaviour which lead to me hand feeding him every meal. Wendy from Chew Chew Train came to give me and my puppy Loki a 1 on 1 session, which really helped to put him on the right track and now he's eating as he should. She also taught me a command which I use to this day to make him stop doing whatever naughty thing he's doing (from chewing my belongings and eating dropped food on the street to barking at small children) he's now a much better companion for it. I also changed my vet due to her advice and my bank account is so much better off for it too. All in all, if you care for your pooch and want an easier life, I can highly recommend this service... you won't regret it!
In a short time, Wendy has transformed our dog’s behaviour. We are amazed! Having recently adopted a Romanian street dog, we were dismayed to find that taking her for a walk was becoming almost impossible due to her aggression towards other dogs. Wendy’s understanding of canine behaviour is remarkable. With all her experience and knowledge, she has turned our dog’s issues around. We wouldn’t have thought it possible. Words can’t describe the delight we feel, as we watch our pet play happily and peaceably with other dogs. Wendy is 100% dedicated and we would have no hesitation in recommending her to others.
Wendy is an amazing trainer! I recommend 100% She taught me the importance of obedience training to build confidence in my very anxious dog. He is such a good boy now and we are up to meeting 3 new dogs a day now when before I had to hide from every dog we saw. Eternally grateful.
Wendy is amazing! I was very concerned about training Recall, I was not sure how to begin teaching it or what techniques to use. She was extremely helpful and gave me so many tips not only for training recall, but many other skills. She trained me, to train my little puppy! Highly recommended!
I had a friend who was struggling with her dog. The dog was a rescue, a street dog from Romania. Still a puppy, but she had some behaviour issues. After she bit another dog in the park, my friend panicked and said she’d tell the charity to take the dog back. But here’s the thing. The charity had placed a dog with my friend that didn’t meet her requests (she asked for a small adult dog, she got a large puppy dog, well done on providing a dog). She’d been told this dog had been neutered, so it was a little surprising when she came into season. Plus, when the charity was told they’d be getting the dog back, they put up an ad saying “good natured dog available to good home”. I couldn’t stand by and let that happen. I don’t doubt the charity had the best intentions, but they clearly didn’t have the knowledge. This dog, placed with a home that didn’t know her history and didn’t have dog behaviour resources, was guaranteed on a one way trip to the vet. So I stepped in. I am a professional dog walker. I have a lot of experience of street dogs. And I had intended to take on a second dog in 2019. I had already registered with Battersea. But my job is easier if my dogs are dog-friendly. Still I didn’t trust the future. Wendy has helped hugely. She gave me a couple of sessions observation and identified my dog’s issues. She gave me useful help with training. She’s been available for follow up and odd issues (like my dog suddenly developing a fear of buses; she used to lunge & bark, now she either looks at me for treats or finds a very interesting bit of pavement). We still have a road to follow, but I know Wendy is there for support, which makes me feel so much better. I need Wendy’s help. If you’re reading this, probably you do too. Get that help. Now.

Finding experienced dog trainers in Peacehaven means connecting with professionals who understand the unique coastal environment of this charming East Sussex town. From training puppies to navigate the clifftop paths near Peacehaven Heights to managing reactive dogs along the busy A259 coast road, our certified trainers deliver personalised obedience training, behaviour modification, and puppy socialisation programmes tailored to seaside living.
Serving all areas including Telscombe Cliffs, South Coast Road, and Meridian Centre, we've successfully trained over 800 dogs across Peacehaven and surrounding areas in the past eight years. Our expertise addresses the challenges of coastal dog ownership, from windy clifftop walks to navigating the town's residential estates and local amenities.
Peacehaven presents distinctive training requirements shaped by its clifftop location, coastal weather conditions, and mix of residential areas. The town's stunning clifftop walks along Peacehaven Promenade and access to Telscombe Cliffs Nature Reserve provide excellent exercise opportunities, but exposed coastal paths with strong winds, distracting sea smells, and wildlife require dogs with solid recall and lead manners for safe enjoyment.
Our trainers specialise in desensitising dogs to coastal stimuli including seagulls, strong winds, waves crashing below the cliffs, and the busy traffic along the A259 connecting Peacehaven to Brighton and Newhaven. We understand local walking routes and ensure your dog can confidently navigate from Meridian Way shops to the quieter residential streets around Roderick Avenue and Steyning Avenue, making daily life easier for Peacehaven families.
Our puppy programmes focus on the critical 8-16 week socialisation window, introducing young dogs to Peacehaven's coastal environment including wind exposure, seagull activity, and clifftop paths. Training covers house training, crate training, bite inhibition, and essential commands. Controlled socialisation near Centenary Park and local residential areas helps puppies develop confidence around other dogs, cyclists, and coastal wildlife, preventing future anxiety and building adaptable town residents.
Reliable recall is essential for safely enjoying Peacehaven's open clifftop areas and nature reserves. We build bombproof recall despite seagulls, rabbits, and other dogs, along with distance commands and emergency stops. Training in locations like Telscombe Cliffs and local parks ensures dogs respond reliably in high-distraction coastal environments, giving owners confidence to provide proper exercise while maintaining complete control near cliff edges and busy roads.
Peacehaven's popular walking routes can reveal or worsen reactivity issues. Our behaviour modification programmes address leash reactivity on narrow clifftop paths, fear-based responses to coastal sounds and sights, and barrier frustration common in homes near busy roads. Using positive reinforcement and systematic desensitisation, we help dogs learn calm responses to triggers, replacing lunging and barking with focus and self-control.
Dog training in Peacehaven typically ranges from £35-65 per hour for private sessions, with 6-8 week packages costing £250-450. Group classes cost £10-18 per session, while puppy courses average £140-240. Mobile services covering Peacehaven and surrounding areas like Telscombe and Saltdean incur no additional travel fees.
Begin training immediately when bringing your puppy home around 8 weeks old. The critical socialisation period between 8-16 weeks makes early exposure to Peacehaven's coastal environment essential. Puppies can join group classes after initial vaccinations at 10-12 weeks, though dogs of all ages benefit from professional training.
Safe clifftop walking requires excellent recall, lead manners, and impulse control. Start with basic obedience in quieter areas, gradually introducing clifftop environments with distractions. Practice recall away from cliff edges initially, using long training leads for safety. Most dogs master clifftop reliability within 8-12 weeks of consistent training, ensuring enjoyable walks along Peacehaven's stunning coastline.
Professional dog training in Peacehaven creates confident, well-mannered dogs perfectly suited to coastal living. Our proven methods combine expert techniques with intimate knowledge of Peacehaven's unique clifftop environment, from the Promenade to Centenary Park. Whether you live near the Meridian Centre or in the quieter residential streets towards Telscombe, investing in professional training ensures your dog becomes a reliable companion for all your coastal adventures.
