What an absolute golden gem this is to have on our doorstep. Ahead of getting a rescue pup, a neighbour recommended this place to us and couldn’t sing them enough praises. Admittedly, I had my reservations as I felt slightly out of control leaving our rescue pup in the hands of strangers - however, I have felt nothing but pure adoration for this place. Tamsin, is a rare find I feel. She’s incredibly knowledgeable but also so is her team and they are a credit to her and this set up, proven by their transparency with their training sessions and everything they do. I really don’t think there is anywhere even relatively comparable to this set up. You can see the excitement in all of the dogs faces when they arrive and it’s a real luxury to drop your dog off and have zero concern about their welfare and wellbeing. I had my concerns socialising our rescue pup with so many dogs, who was once very nervous, but actually it’s taught him how to positively interact with other dogs. It’s amazing to see him become such a well rounded, respectful, trained pup and that’s a real combined effort of us continuing his work at home and them also helping support us with what we are doing with him at home. We once had a very anxious pup and as Tamsin once told me, doggy day care will become his release and make managing him in the home environment much easier and it really has done just that. Thank you so much. We owe you so much. 🩷🩷🩷🩷

We can’t say enough great things about Norman’s Doggy Daycare! From the moment we were able to start training our puppy, TJ and the utterly brilliant training team have been an incredible source of support and guidance. Under their care, our girl has improved in leaps and bounds — not just in obedience but in overall confidence and behaviour. They’ve equipped us with the tools and knowledge to teach her the basics to build on and they’ve always been ready to think outside the box whenever we’ve faced challenges with trickier behaviours. As we’ve entered the “teenage stage,” the behaviourist coaching has been invaluable in helping us navigate this new phase helping us to understand what bits we need to get on top of and which bits we just need to ride out. What really sets Norman’s apart is their dependability, flexibility, and consistent enthusiasm to help you dog have the best day it can. We always know our pup is in safe, experienced hands and genuinely wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for quality care and expert guidance for their dog.

My puppy has been going to Normans since November and he absolutely loves it. He gets so excited when we arrive in the car park and he doesn’t look back at me for a second as he goes inside. He started attending the puppy club sessions which are brilliant as they do training with the puppies and film this which you have access to. The trainers are always happy to work on any areas that I raise and are very friendly. More recently we have had some behavioural help from TJ as my puppy and older dog were not getting on. TJ has worked miracles! She listens to you and at no point makes you feel silly or judged. She genuinely cares about helping us and the dogs and we have gone from having 2 dogs who wanted to fight and couldn’t be in the same room to 2 dogs who are comfortable around each other and happy. We will be forever grateful to TJ for her support with the boys. I would highly recommend her to anyone having issues with their dog and would recommend Normans to anyone looking for daycare!

We started with Omnidogs doing Agility with our Romanian rescue Peggy, just as a way to burn off some energy and help build some confidence as she was a bit nervous, Sarah instantly picked up on her nervousness and we have come such a long way since then, we have been going for over a year now and Peggy absolutely loves it! We also did the fabulous focus workshop with Millie which was great, I learnt a lot and it gave us some great tips that I now use everyday!

Dora gets very excited when we go for our weekly "agility" training with Sarah. We have been going to Omnidogs for over a year now and Dora (and myself) learn something new every week. Sarah really knows how to get the best out of dogs and competes in Agility at a high level.

We re-homed our Springer pup at 6 months of age, so there were unknown issues to manage. With Anita's knowledge of how dogs think and common sense, clear advice on how to deal with problems, after 12 months hard work, we're seeing Bumble develop into lovely, trusted hound - a big thank you from us!

Professional Dog Trainers in Milton: Expert Canine Behaviour Training

Finding qualified dog trainers in Milton means connecting with professionals who understand the unique needs of this thriving town in South Cambridgeshire. Whether you're training a new puppy near Milton Country Park, managing reactive behaviour along the guided busway paths, or perfecting recall skills in the expansive green spaces, our certified trainers deliver personalised obedience training and behaviour modification programmes tailored to Milton's community-focused environment.

Serving Milton village, Milton Road, and surrounding areas including CB24 postcodes, we've successfully trained over 850 dogs in the past eight years. Our expertise addresses the specific challenges of dog ownership in this growing community, from navigating busy cycle paths to enjoying off-lead exercise at Milton Country Park.

Why Choose Dog Training in Milton

Milton presents unique training opportunities shaped by its excellent green spaces and active community lifestyle. The town's crown jewel, Milton Country Park with its 95 acres of parkland and lakes, provides ideal training environments but requires dogs with solid recall and good social skills given the high number of walkers, cyclists, and fellow dog owners. The popular guided busway routes demand excellent lead manners and traffic awareness.

Our trainers specialise in preparing dogs for Milton's active outdoor culture, including desensitisation to cyclists on shared paths, building confidence around the busy Cambridge Science Park area, and ensuring reliable behaviour in community spaces. We understand local considerations from managing dogs in typical Milton housing to navigating the routes connecting to nearby Waterbeach and Histon.

Dog Training Solutions for Milton Residents

Puppy Training and Foundation Skills

Our puppy programmes focus on crucial early socialisation during the 8-16 week period. Training covers house training, crate training, bite inhibition, and essential commands while introducing puppies to Milton's environment including country park wildlife, busway activity, and community spaces. Socialisation sessions help puppies develop confidence around other dogs and various distractions.

Recall Training and Off-Lead Control

We develop reliable recall essential for safely enjoying Milton Country Park and local green spaces. Training builds solid responses despite distractions including wildlife, water features, other dogs, and picnickers, giving owners confidence to provide proper exercise while maintaining control.

Reactive Dog Behaviour Modification

Our behaviour programmes address leash reactivity on busway paths, fear-based responses, and barrier frustration. Using positive reinforcement and systematic desensitisation, we help dogs learn calm responses to triggers encountered on popular walking routes and in community areas.
