I can’t thank Brian enough for his guidance, patience, and expertise. He has helped us build Buddy’s obedience and turned our walks into something we both love. Before starting the 12-week program, my golden retriever was extremely reactive, and pulled on the lead. I struggled to walk him, and it was a daily challenge. Now, after completing the program, he heels beautifully by my side, and doesn’t react to other dog. We enjoy peaceful, stress-free walks together. The transformation has been incredible.

Where to begin??? My big (and he's huge) black lab Baxter couldn't set sight on any other dog without reacting. LOUD barking and lunging to the point where I would drive miles to the middle of nowhere to walk him as my anxiety was through the roof and I didn't want to risk meeting another dog. Then I got in touch with T.P.K.T. They tailored a block of sessions to our needs which we are just over half way through. The difference in Baxter is unreal, today for example, at a session, we were in the park with 2 other dogs and he was lying down just watching them do their thing!!!! At an earlier session we actually walked alongside another dog!!!! We still have wee blips but like I said we are only half way through. The big difference is I now have more confidence to walk him in well known dog walking areas. Brian's knowledge and understanding of dogs is quite incredible and I can't thank him enough for the progress so far!!! Long story short..... don't think twice about booking T.P.K.T
We started working with Teachers Pet when our puppy was about 6 months old. We have a Great Dane puppy who can certainly be a handful and Brian has been excellent to work with. As well as training our dog it is training us as owners so we can achieve our ideal results. They have access to great facilities and the training has been very clear and we have seen great progress almost instantly. We're very excited to reach the end of our course and believe that we will have a well mannered and obedient dog.
We’re almost half way through our training plan at the moment and we are already impressed with the progress we have made in such a small amount of time. I recently did a webinar with Yvonne on Fireworks and collies. Yvonne was very helpful and full of advice which I am going to try with my own collie.
First-class! Yvonne’s support in helping us begin to desensitise our adorable but nervous little Collie girl, is wonderful. Less than a week into the process, and she is already less reactive to some of the trigger sounds that were just changing her personality in a heart-beat, (including fireworks, the noise of young children playing, and alarms). So distressing for us, and Yvonne’s pragmatic, personalised approach has given us real optimism that we can make this little dog’s life even more complete. I’m very impressed.
I joined a Fireworks webinar with Yvonne in early August 2025 which was scheduled several months before Bonfire Night to enable us to use the tools she gave us to work with well ahead of the night itself. We couldn’t be more grateful for the amazing care Reggie got on our wedding day from Heather! She truly went above and beyond to keep Reggie calm & looking his best for our day. Weddings can be crazy with all his favourite people around but Heather had Reggie’s best interests at heart. He looked so happy & relaxed with Heather it gave us complete peace of mind knowing that we had our best pal at our wedding day but also knew he was in the best care. She helped us get the best photos with Reggie & also knew when it was time up & to take him home for the night. Heather had Reggie the night before the wedding & the night of the wedding. It was perfect knowing our pup was in the best care but also worrying because we weren’t sure if Reggie would want to come home with us after being spoiled by Heather. If you are looking for someone to look after your pup on your wedding day, Heather is the person to go for. I can’t recommend her enough. She takes your pet in & treats them like family. 💛✨

What a wonderful service! I have never left Louis (Boston terrier, and my world!) with someone we don't know so was nervous considering it whilst we were on holiday in Aviemore. However, Heather soon put me at ease and I was right to feel that way. What a lovely, kind, knowledgeable lady. Louis (Boston terrier) seemed happy with her as soon as he met her. Honestly can't recommend this service enough which I wouldn't say lightly. Can't say thank you enough. P.s (Louis definitely approved!)

Returning customer to my favourite pet shop! This is a fantastic business - the service is wonderful, so welcoming, friendly and helpful and always have time to make a fuss of my dog. Their stock selection for treat paste and pate flavours is fantastic (and not something I have ever found elsewhere!). Such a wonderful toy selection - excellent value prices and always have different toys and items when visiting making it as fun for the dog as it for me 😊 Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This business is amazing! I have been going here for a long time now for the choice of healthy products but mainly the staff! They are friendly, welcoming and more importantly very knowledgeable. I recently had to change my brand of dog food from an online tailored brand to a new one because my dog stopped eating it after many years. The company had had issues with suppliers but failed to mention this to the customers till after they had rectified it. One visit to this store and he is now on a senior version of highland hounds which he loves! I was given the advice on changing over and also the dilution of water so he still had a crunch, right down to how his toilets should look! All things I had taken for granted were all fine on his previous food I think he is now a happier dog and his coat and I think his waistline is looking better for it!!! I will be going in at the weekend to purchase a big bag as I now know this is the food for him. I cannot praise this shop highly enough they truly care about the wellbeing and health of animals and this shines through when you go in.
