Just had my first session with Roman (Alliance K9). I had a sense of some of the things I needed to address, but had my eyes opened to a few I weren't aware of. Great initial assessment, very knowledgeable and immediately had more engagement from my dogs than I have for a while. Looking forward to my sessions with him. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get more from their dog.
We bought 2 puppies 6 weeks ago and have been doing to Alliance from the get go. The change in our dogs is incredible! Non stop compliments and disbelief from friend and family about how good our 2 13 week old puppies are, and this is just from a few sessions! Highly recommend Roman, he's incredible at what he does and his understanding of dogs is next level.
I recently had my initial assessment with my 6-month-old Belgian Malinois x Staffy cross, and the experience exceeded my expectations. Roman provided clear, structured guidance on establishing boundaries and leadership, which was invaluable for me as a first-time dog owner. The session gave me a much better understanding of how a dog’s mind works and how easily unwanted habits can develop if not addressed correctly.I was particularly impressed with how Roman tailored the training plan to fit seamlessly into my daily routine, ensuring it was both realistic and sustainable. His direct and honest feedback was also refreshing, as it highlighted exactly where improvements were needed without any ambiguity. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the service provided and feel much more confident moving forward with my dog’s training journey.
Arrange an assessment and go see for yourself. However, as far as my own opinion goes, Alliance K9 ticks all the boxes and was everything I have been looking for in an experienced dog trainer. Roman is clearly very knowledgable and passionate about canine welfare and growth. More than that, he respectfully challenged and motivated me in a way whereby success wasn’t limited to my dog, but allowed me to progress as a more confident handler. I came away with a thorough understanding of my dog’s needs, as Roman was able to condense years of expertise in clear and succinct manner to help me meet the canine/human expectations. Plus, unlike other trainers he didn’t charge the earth to do so. His transparency and trustworthiness was actually refreshing. If that wasn’t enough, even got to see his young child working his own demo dog. The coolest thing I’ve seen in a while. Top bloke.
We had 5 one to one sessions with Roman for our 1 year old Golden Retriever to help with her engagement and reactivity. He was clear, direct and extremely knowledgable and explained everything to us as well which was great because it educated us and made everything make sense. He guided us well during the sessions and gave us homework to do in between each one. We have seen a big difference in Mabel’s behaviour whilst out on walks and we will continue to put things into practice. We are looking forward to going on some group sessions with Roman in the future! Thank you.

We have learnt so much from our puppy classes. The training has been brilliant and our puppy has really enjoyed it. We now have the skills to go forward. I highly recommend to anyone out there who has a puppy. Thank you to the lovely trainers.
Neil was an excellent help with our grumpy dachshund. A 3hr session has resulted in massive improvement within weeks of implementation. I couldn't recommend Best Behaviour K9 enough!
I had a one to one session with Neil today ralph was a totally different dog by the end of the session I no we have a lot of work to do with him but Neil's a mind of information I highly recommend very knowledgeable trainer.
Well worth every penny! Laura was fantastic training us and our dog Bonnie!! Bonnie reacted badly when on a lead, to other dogs on leads by barking. People thought she was aggressive. After 4 sessions with Laura and lots of homework it is now a pleasure walking Bonnie. Would recommend to anyone!
I can’t recommend these enough! We have Laura as our trainer who has seen our rescue pup all the way through puppy and deputy classes. Couldn’t have chosen anyone better!! Io has some behavioural issues due to his past and this school and trainers have been a blessing when giving us continuous help and advice through classes, Facebook group, WhatsApp and more. I can’t rave about them enough. If you manage to get Laura as your trainer too she’s honestly a god send. We will definitely be continuing our training with them🙏🏻

Amazing training course! Helen has been amazing in class and has always been there to help along the way. My spaniel has loved it and so have me and my partner. Can’t thank you enough!
Lindsay is a fantastic gundog trainer with exceptional knowledge and experience. I started her pet gundog foundation course with my spaniel, Reggie, as I was a first time dog owner and was struggling to harness his natural hunting instincts. The group classes combined with the online videos and content were excellent, very easy to follow and understand. Reggie has thrived on the training provided by Lindsay, and is already attending advanced spaniel workshops at only 14 months old. I can’t thank her enough for helping me shape him into the happy, content dog he is today!
Couldn’t recommend more. Lindsay and Helen have been great, so welcoming and so patient. I have learnt so much and always feel like I can ask whatever question. Gundog foundation completed, and very much looking forward to continue the journey with them both. So knowledgable, honest and realistic, and laughs are always had at training.
Fantastically ran course for our puppy GSP. Lindsay and Helen were incredible teachers. We learnt so much for our puppy and cannot believe how well she has picked up the tips and tricks we have been taught throughout the course. The online learning to compliment the course has been fantastic too. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a puppy training course. Thank you for your patience and expertise
Fantastic experience thanks to Lindsay and Helen 👏🏼 Both me and my cocker spaniel gained lots of confidence at the gundog puppy training classes, which I looked forward to every week. We also had the online gundog puppy course, which I’d recommend having right from day 1.

I highly recommend employing Kate as a dog trainer. She is fantastic with dogs and is amazing at breaking things down really clearly to handlers/owners. I have learnt a lot from Kate's approaches to dog training, as she has such a methodical and effective way of working.
I have just completed an online course with Kate after rescuing my dog from Street Hearts Bulgaria, for whom Kate is the patron. Knowledgeable and patient, Kate gave us simple, clear guidance, providing us the building blocks of training for a happy relationship together. We covered creating a strong bond, recall, and other useful commands as well as some fun tricks along the way. I highly recommend training with Kate and Landela Dogs!
We can highly recommend Thuli as a personalised dog trainer. We have a rescue Labrador / cross breed who has had some serious behaviour problems - most notably aggressive sounding "reactive" barking, mainly at other dogs. Thuli took time to listen to the difficulties we were having with our dog, even before we met. This was by an initial free telephone call. This gave us confidence Thuli understood the issues and would be able to help us. Another advantage is that she has a lot of experience working with rescue dogs. She has given us a number of really helpful strategies that have already made a significant difference to the behaviour of our dog (and us, her owners!).
Can't thank Kate enough for the help with my 2 year old rescue Bonnie. So far we are working on building confidence and her checking in with me, loose lead walking. Kate explains everything clearly and with patience. Would highly recommend.

Kat has been walking my boisterous GSD. He has started to calm down, is much better with other dogs and loves being out with Kat. Thank you
Kats been walking my dog for few months now. My dog enjoys his walk always comes back tired he was very nervous at first as he has separation anxiety and is very reactive he is now pleased.to see her. Kat is reliable, has never let us down. we met and walked social distanced so she could get to know him and find out as much as possible before taking him out. During covid she has put things into place like each dog has his own leads and toys to reduce any risks. My dog is my baby i felt nervous about letting him go out with someone else especially as he is reactivate I know that with Kat he is happy, safe and enjoying himself while I am working and I love seeing the photos of him on his walk .
Kat has been walking my one year old reactive Greek Shepherd rescue dog for a couple of months now. The difference in her is amazing! She walks nicely on the lead, her recall is improving all the time & her reactivity has almost totally stopped. Kat takes her on lovely walks & does training with her on her recall & actions with dogs & people & Delilah loves Kat. I know my dog is in safe hands & I don't have to worry about her while I'm at work. Highly recommended!
We couldn’t recommend Kat more highly! We had been looking for a dog walker to help with the training we have been doing with our puppy Ruby and loved the fact that Kat specialises in walking reactive dogs so would understand how to manage her lead reactivity. It’s so nice to know that she’s in very capable hands when they go out, the level of excitement when she realises she’s going out with Kat speaks for itself! She has a great insight into canine behaviour and knows how to get the best from your dog.

Serving all areas including Crookes village centre, Walkley Bank, and Sandygate, we've successfully trained over 850 dogs in this vibrant S10 area. Our expertise addresses the specific challenges of dog ownership in Crookes, from navigating the steep gradients of Heavygate Road to enjoying off-lead exercise in the nearby Mayfield Alpaca Farm surroundings and Whiteley Woods.
Crookes presents distinctive training requirements shaped by its characterful Victorian terraces, independent community spirit, and proximity to some of Sheffield's finest green spaces. The area's steep hills and stone-stepped pathways demand dogs with excellent lead manners and physical conditioning, while the popular local routes to Rivelin Valley and Wyming Brook require reliable recall skills for safe countryside walks.
Our trainers specialise in preparing dogs for Crookes' unique environment, including desensitisation to the busy Crookes junction traffic, comfortable navigation of the narrow pavements along Manchester Road, and appropriate behaviour in the area's dog-friendly establishments like local cafés and the Crookes Social Club gardens. We understand that many Crookes residents live in terraced properties with limited private outdoor space, making excellent public behaviour and strong recall essential for daily exercise routines in Crookes Valley Park and beyond.
Our puppy programmes build essential foundations during the critical 8-16 week socialisation period. We introduce young dogs to Crookes' distinctive environment, including exposure to the steep residential streets, the community atmosphere around Crookes marketplace, and the varied terrain found in nearby Rivelin Valley. Training covers house training for terraced properties, basic commands, and controlled socialisation sessions that help puppies develop confidence around other dogs, cyclists, and the weekend crowds at local green spaces.
With excellent access to Rivelin Valley Nature Trail, Whiteley Woods, and Crookes Valley Park, reliable recall training proves essential for Crookes dog owners. We develop bombproof recall despite distractions including wildlife, other dogs, and runners on popular trails. Our training ensures your dog responds immediately to commands even in the expansive countryside areas, providing the freedom to exercise properly while maintaining complete control throughout your walks.
The narrow pavements and close-quarters encounters common in Crookes' residential streets can trigger or worsen reactivity issues. Our systematic behaviour modification addresses leash reactivity, barrier frustration in terraced properties, and fear-based responses. Using positive reinforcement techniques, we help dogs learn calm responses to triggers encountered along busy Manchester Road or in Crookes Valley Park, building tolerance and replacing reactive behaviours with focus and self-control.
Dog training in Crookes typically costs £35-65 per hour for private sessions, with 6-week puppy courses averaging £140-220. Group classes cost £10-18 per session. Many local trainers offer home visits throughout the S10 area, and initial consultations are often available at reduced rates to discuss your dog's specific needs.
Crookes Valley Park provides excellent training environments with varied terrain and controlled distractions. Rivelin Valley Nature Trail offers ideal locations for recall training with open spaces and natural distractions. For puppies and nervous dogs, the quieter residential streets around Sandygate and the green spaces near Walkley Bank work well for foundation training before progressing to busier areas.
Yes, lead training for Crookes' characteristic steep gradients is one of our specialities. We teach dogs to walk calmly on loose leads even on inclines like Heavygate Road and Psalter Lane, using positive reinforcement techniques that make walks enjoyable rather than exhausting. Most dogs show significant improvement within 4-6 weeks of consistent training.
