Very happy to endorse Bob and Anne at Delta One Canines dog training. Our 4 yo Cocker Spaniel took the 8 week basic training course to KC Good Citizen Silver Level. One-to-one sessions with Bob allowed the course to be tailored to our and the dog’s needs and we definitely benefitted from Bob’s “real world” approach. We are now looking forward to participation on the Scenting/Searching For Property course.
Our smart girl passed her Bronze Test today 🏆 Thank you to Bob for helping us over the last few months, can’t wait for the Silver. If anyone is looking for an ethical, positive only trainer than I highly recommended Bob 👍 he has so much knowledge.. we would have been lost without him over the last few months. Our sessions are 30 minutes… can you find 30minutes once a week to train your dog for a better future for you & your companion? The answer is YES 🐶
Highly recommend Delta One Canines after just completing the 8 weeks obedience training with our dog Koko. Bob is very clear with the instructions and makes things simple to understand.
Completed the 8 week basic training with my Cockerpoo pup, Lily and Anne the trainer. The training sessions were pitched at the right pace and allowed me to continue the training in the weeks between lessons. I have gone from having a puppy who didn't focus on anything and preferred to chew her lead to now having a pup who can sit, stay, comes back when I call her etc. Excellent Thankyou for giving me the tools to continue her training.
Very experienced trainers offering helpful and realistic advice can’t wait for the next step on our journey

I would love to thank David for all his imput as this was crucial in getting Grace my greyhound go up and down the stairs in the flat I live in as we are having a lift replacement in the building and Grace was terrified of the stairs. This was an amazing result in only two sessions and means we can stay in our home.Maggie Campbell
Great dog trainer very kind and patient. Saw a lot of progress after two sessions , would definitely recommend
Had 2 great sessions helping my dog who is reactive to new people and dogs. Taught new skills to help manage these situations which I will practice. This was explained well with written information to refer back to aswell
David was very helpfull and gave me some great advice for helping my goldendoodle. Thouroughly reccomend his services.
Had a great first session with David. Our dog is already showing signs of improvement in his anxiety and reactivity, very impressed! Extremely knowledgeable man and we look forward to working with him more in the future.

I rang quite a few companies before I made contact with Carrie. I realised with just a phonecall Carrie was a great trainer. I spoke to her for 30 minutes and this was before I signed or paid for any classes. She gave me her time and she was reassuring and supportive. Carrie is amazing with dogs, she's so compassionate about what she does and it shows, the way she was with our little golden pup, she adored her. We worked on leash training, re call and she showed us many calming games for our energetic little pup. I cannot recommend her enough. She's all around an amazing dog trainer and a kind genuine person. Thank you for all your help Carrie! ❤️
Carrie has been brilliant, working with Kibo's separation anxiety. It's hard work but Kibo has responded and progressed well in a relatively short time. Still work in progress but my emphasis is on "progress". Carrie also covered so many other aspects which have been a tremendous success.... training games, recall and Kibo's non-stop buffet habits whilst out on a walk. He's positively a different dog. Thank you Carrie!
I called Carrie mid-walk with my dogs to ask if she could help us as I was at a complete loss as to what to do. It was the best decision I could have made. We have two very different dogs, with one being very reactive on lead walks, which was beginning to have a negative effect on the other dog, and really affecting our walks. My Husband and I dreaded going on walks and didn't know what to do for the best. Carrie worked with us over a number of weeks, to really get to know us and our dogs. She taught us so many tips and tricks that I'm pleased to say had an almost instantaneous effect and we couldn't be more happy. Our walks have completely changed and are a joy again. There is still work to do but we have the tools to do this now. Thank you so much Carrie, from the Ross family
Carrie is excellent, she works out what you and your dog needs are, and tailors the training accordingly, being a first time dog owner she has been super helpful! Can't recommend enough!
Amazing, we really struggled when we got our crazy spaniel, Carrie helped us with teaching him to settle and be content in his crate which has been the biggest blessing. He was so scared of other dogs and we have now conquered that too his recall is perfect and for a spaniel that’s no easy task. Thank you for everything!!

Collette has been amazing. She came out to see our very nervous Staffie and helped us implement her Top Dog programme. She was non judgmental, listened to our concerns and my anxieties. She explained the theory behind training which gave us a better understand of what we needed to change and why. Me and Loki go for regular kinesiology sessions to further support the training and it has helped me gain a better understanding of my dog - what’s working for him, what I need to change. I would highly recommend Collette to any dog owner who is struggling and needs help.
We adopted out new puppy , Skipper, in May and immediately it became obvious that our older dog, Bob was not at all happy with our decision. We thought he’d get over it but as Skipper settled into the family and became more confident, Bob was getting more and more grouchy. Skipper was doing a bit of chasing the cat and generally being boisterous and getting into Bobs face. So we were recommended to Collette and we’ve not looked back since. She’s truly helped us understand canine behaviour and how to deal with it. How we need to behave so they understand us. The transformation has been staggering and now peace reigns in our house. We are so happy and life is getting better every day. Thanks so much Collette.
Our doggy loves spending time here when we go away. She has stayed twice now and we get regular updates , she is well cared for and loves going. It's so lovely knowing our lovely pooch is happy in a beautiful house and not a kennels where they can be caged and outside with only 2 brief walks. Thankyou Collette and family
Our dog Sparky went to stay with Collette and Jon for 8 days. He was well looked after and even had some walking training while he was there. We had regular updates and images of him while we were away. We wouldn't leave him with anyone else and were able to relax on our holiday knowing he was in good care. Thank you to Collette and family.

It was lovely meeting with Michele today, and we can't wait to keep trying what Michele has shown us to do, Ora and Evie gone are the days where you think you rule the house lol Ora has already responded to the discs. Will let you know how we get on 😊
Couldn’t be happier finding out that Michelle was dog training. We have a 14 month lab girl who can’t control her excitement when going for a walk. She would squeal, bark, pull, twist herself inside out and bite the lead. After just one session Michelle has taught us how to work on stopping that behaviour on foot and in the car. I am over the moon to say that the last couple of days the improvement in Rubee has been phenomenal, whilst still working with Rubee at the start of her walk, there is no more squealing, barking, twisting or biting, just some tension on the lead, her return home from her walk, well I never thought I’d be able to loose lead her, but with Michelle’s tutelage we have success. So grateful Michelle you are an absolute god send.
Michele came to my home to work with my large and very exuberant four year old Boxer, Bertie, who adores visitors but is rather too boisterous when greeting them! She spent about three hours with us, observing Bertie and my other dogs and giving Bertie some one-on-one training. Although she had told me that she does not have a 'magic wand', the techniques she showed me have certainly worked like magic and Bertie is already much calmer when visitors arrive. Much better for the visitors - and for Bertie, who can now say 'hello' with all four paws on the ground and receive all the fuss he craves. Thank you Michele - I shall keep working on the techniques you showed me.
Michele was great, assisting with our puppy helping us address him biting and jumping up us in the first few weeks when we took him home. With the consistency of following her advice he has stopped this behaviour and has picked up basic training well. We would definitely recommend Michele if you need help or support with your dog.
Michelle helped us with our XL bulldog recently about her being overly boisterous with visitors, we've followed her advice and its really helped us. Michelle really got straight to it and helped her to calm down and tought us coping techniques, showing us why she was playing up, and what to do when she did. Our dog is now so much better behaved.
Finding qualified dog trainers in Cheylesmore means connecting with professionals who understand the specific needs of this historic Coventry suburb. From training puppies near the ancient Caludon Castle ruins to managing reactive dogs along the Sowe Valley footpaths, our certified trainers deliver personalised obedience training, behaviour modification, and puppy socialisation programmes tailored to this vibrant community.
Serving all areas including Cheylesmore town centre, Manor House, and the residential streets surrounding War Memorial Park, we've successfully trained over 850 dogs in the CV3 area. Our expertise addresses the unique challenges of dog ownership in Cheylesmore, from navigating busy Quinton Road to enjoying off-lead exercise in local green spaces.
Cheylesmore presents distinct training requirements shaped by its mix of Victorian terraces, modern housing estates, and proximity to Coventry city centre. The area's excellent access to War Memorial Park, Caludon Castle Park, and the Sowe Valley pathway provides wonderful training environments but requires dogs to master recall, lead manners, and social skills for safe enjoyment of these popular community spaces.
Our trainers specialise in addressing local challenges including traffic noise from the ring road, busy pedestrian areas around Cheylesmore Shopping Centre, and adapting dogs to terraced housing where gardens are often compact. We understand the importance of public transport training for dogs travelling on local buses and prepare canines for the diverse experiences they'll encounter throughout this well-connected Coventry neighbourhood.
Our puppy programmes focus on the critical 8-16 week socialisation period, introducing young dogs to Cheylesmore's urban environment including traffic sounds, park activities, and community interactions. Training covers house training for terraced properties, basic commands, and controlled socialisation sessions that build confidence and prevent future behavioural issues.
We address reactivity issues common in Cheylesmore's popular walking areas through systematic desensitisation and positive reinforcement. Our programmes help dogs remain calm when encountering other canines on narrower pavements or busy park paths, replacing unwanted behaviours with focus and self-control.
For dogs ready to progress, our advanced training develops reliable off-lead control essential for safely enjoying War Memorial Park and Caludon Castle Park. We build strong recall despite distractions, ensuring owners can provide proper exercise while maintaining complete confidence in their dog's responsiveness.
Dog training in Cheylesmore typically ranges from £35-65 per hour for private sessions, with 6-week packages averaging £200-420. Group classes cost £10-18 per session, offering excellent value for basic obedience and socialisation training.
Begin training immediately when bringing your puppy home around 8 weeks old. The crucial socialisation window between 8-16 weeks makes early exposure to Cheylesmore's environment essential. However, dogs of all ages benefit from professional training regardless of their history.
War Memorial Park offers excellent open spaces for training, while Caludon Castle Park provides quieter environments for nervous dogs. The Sowe Valley pathway is ideal for lead walking practice and recall training with controlled distractions.
