Madoc and I had a fantastic time doing the puppy class. Marta is very welcoming friendly and professional .I would highly recommend her classes to anyone with a puppy.
We were made to feel really welcome and was able to accommodate my mum as well who struggles to stand for too long. My puppy, that I was seriously struggling with basic recall with, managed to improve on that from the first lesson. The lessons were fun and interactive and informative. I would come back and would recommend Marta every time.

Finding qualified dog trainers in Anglesey requires professionals who understand the unique challenges of island living, from coastal walks along windswept beaches to navigating rural footpaths and market towns. Our certified trainers serve communities across Ynys Môn, delivering personalised obedience training, behaviour modification, and puppy socialisation programmes tailored to Anglesey's distinctive environment.
Serving areas including Holyhead, Llangefni, Beaumaris, Menai Bridge, and Amlwch, we've successfully trained over 800 dogs across the island in recent years. Our expertise addresses the specific needs of Anglesey dog owners, from managing livestock-aware training near rural farmland to building confidence on the island's stunning coastal paths.
Anglesey presents unique training requirements shaped by its rural character, coastal environment, and strong agricultural heritage. The island's extensive network of beaches including Newborough Beach, Llanddwyn Beach, and Trearddur Bay provides excellent exercise opportunities, but requires dogs with reliable recall and awareness of wildlife, particularly ground-nesting birds during breeding season.
Rural living means many Anglesey dogs encounter livestock regularly, making sheep-proofing and farm-safe behaviour essential. Our trainers specialise in creating dogs that respond reliably near grazing animals, navigate narrow country lanes safely, and remain calm around farm machinery and rural traffic. We understand local requirements including the Wales Coast Path etiquette and seasonal restrictions on beach access.
Our puppy programmes build foundations during the critical 8-16 week period, introducing young dogs to Anglesey's environment including coastal sounds, livestock at safe distances, and varied terrain from sandy beaches to rocky paths. Training covers essential commands, house training, and controlled socialisation in locations around the island.
Specialist training for rural Anglesey addresses livestock encounters, teaching dogs to remain calm and responsive near sheep, cattle, and horses. We develop reliable recall even with farm animal distractions, essential for safe countryside access and maintaining positive relationships with the farming community.
Advanced programmes develop off-lead reliability necessary for safely enjoying Anglesey's beaches and coastal paths. Training builds recall despite wildlife, other dogs, and the excitement of open spaces, ensuring dogs can exercise freely while remaining under complete control along the Wales Coast Path and local beaches.
Dog training in Anglesey typically ranges from £35-60 per hour for private sessions, with packages of 6-8 weeks averaging £240-420. Group classes cost £10-18 per session. Mobile services covering the island may include modest travel fees for remote locations, though most trainers serve the entire island from Holyhead to Beaumaris.
Yes, livestock training is essential for Anglesey dogs. Professional training teaches reliable recall and calm behaviour near farm animals through controlled exposure and positive reinforcement. Most dogs achieve safe livestock behaviour within 8-12 weeks of consistent training, though this varies by breed and previous exposure.
Many Anglesey beaches have seasonal restrictions, typically May-September, limiting dogs to certain areas or times. Training ensures your dog behaves appropriately where permitted, with reliable recall and response to commands. Popular year-round dog-friendly beaches include Newborough and sections of Benllech, though training helps dogs enjoy all appropriate coastal access responsibly.
