Can’t recommend Vicky enough , I have attended the puppy classes with 2 of my dogs over the last 12 years and it has given them the best start . We are looking forward to starting the follow on course with Ruger in the next few weeks to build on the things we have learned.

We were so close to returning our puppy because of him biting our daughter so much. We booked a home visit consultation and the 6 week puppy starter class and because of Vicky's help we managed to curb some of the more worrying behaviour. Vicky gives guidance and advice in a way that makes sense and helped us understand our puppy's behaviour, then what we can do to curb and manage this. She doesn't claim to have a magic wand or a quick fix, but if one thing doesn't work she will suggest something else, such as changing the reward or changing the command given. In class we found Vicky to be patient, recognising the different temperament of each dog there and their nature (because of their breed). When trying different commands and techniques she demonstrated first and encouraged us to persist, but acknowledged that it is hard work training a puppy. The lay out of the class was helpful and she recognised what dogs got on well and what dogs to keep well apart. Our pup loves Vicky (the treat lady!) and always loved going to class. Thanks to Vickys help our little one really is a good dog (well, most of the time!). Thank you, Vicky, for giving us the tips needed to make our home a happier home, giving us the confidence needed to continue training at home and helping us learn how to curb behaviour that could have led to something serious happening if things continued the way they were. And a big thank you for being there in between classes too, answering WhatsApp questions and emails.
Firstly, it is so important to know that Vicky is one of the few fully qualified and appropriately accredited dog trainers in the area so you know that you're getting someone who actually knows what they're doing. Vicky was excellent with us and gave us the skills and confidence to get our puppy through her classes. She's come so far by just learning the basics and we hope to continue to the next steps because our dog loved coming so much.
Absolutely loved the little learners course it was great fun and we learned so much that we are already benefiting from both at home and out and about. The group was just the right size and all the puppies got equal amounts of attention. Vicky was professional and informative and made the impossible look easy at times. She was also happy to pick up questions outside of the class. I couldnt recommend Have a Good Dog highly enough.

Lisa is lovely auntie for our 2 Jack Russell pups Chico & Charlie, We've met Lisa 3 times already and she is always caring our pups with sincere love❤️ Chico & Charlie love Lisa so much, they trained a lot by Lisa, she keeps sending photos how they are doing and it reduces our worries a lot about left them home themselves. Lisa is fab with our boy jaks who is a 1 year old Boxer, she really knows her stuff and has done a training package for him and us with lots of good advice Judy has also walked Jaks when Lisa was on holiday and she was fab too Jaks loves his walks with them
Lisa took care of our 20 year old cat for a period when a family member was hospitalised. Lisa and her staff member; Jade, went way above and beyond in their care, taking as much care as I'm sure they would for their own animal or we would have taken. Nothing was a problem, including buying special food in town for a finicky eater! They spent quality time interacting each day, not just "food and litter duty". When our relative died and it was necessary to send our cat to our home abroad, Lisa even came on the departure day, because we couldn't, to see her off and make sure everything went to plan. I can totally recommend Lisa to take care of any pet care needs and thank you Lisa, you're amazing!

I contacted Ian for some help with my Gsd for solid obedience training, being a mum with 2 young children and a baby it was a struggle to find extra time myself to get our dog up to the standard our family needed for us all to enjoy time out together without it being stressful. Ian has given us so much more than a very well trained dog, she’s come home an absolute delight! Off to the park with the kids and I don’t have to worry once about the dog, now I’ve just got to persuade him to train my kids! 🤣 Highly highly recommend this guy, if you’re wanting actual results for your money he’s the man! Very happy clients, thank you Ian and of course Ro for all your hard work and love you put into our girl.

Amazing dog trainer recommended to us. Our german shepherd is a completely different puppy who we can now easily walk past other dogs with no issue. Ian trained us to train our dog and it worked amazingly well! Highly reccomend
We recently used Sexton Dogs to board our GSD Obi for 5 nights. We have never left him with anyone other than family before but after the meet and greet and trial night, we felt comfortable and confident that Obi would be well looked after. They are experts in dog training so we didn’t have to worry about any potential issues when we were away. We got lots of updates throughout his stay and we were able to enjoy our holiday knowing he was in safe hands. He is already booked for another week in September and we will be using them every time we are away from now on. Thank you for looking after Obi like he was your own dog!
I came across Ian at Sexton Dogs through Instagram and was honestly amazed at how well-behaved his girls were. At the time, I was really struggling with Bear’s recall, especially around livestock – he would chase in unsafe environments and I didn’t always feel confident letting him off the lead. Since working with Ian on Bear’s off-lead recall, I’ve seen a massive difference in his behaviour. It’s been a total game-changer. I now feel confident that I can recall him away from anything, which is something I never thought I’d be able to say! Here is a photo of the very well behaved Girls teaching me and Bear how its done!

Can’t recommend Proud Pups highly enough. Tom has been a great help with our new Puppy Max. After the first session we could see Max’s behaviour changing in front of our eyes!! As a family we feel so much more confident with our new puppy now. Will definitely be using his services again.

We contacted Tom when we got our puppy Mabel. Mabel is our first puppy and we wanted to make sure we started off on the right foot. Being first time dog owners we wanted to get some advice and guidance on bringing up a puppy and training her from the get go. I have worked successfully with Tom to achieve fantastic results for my two Romanian rescues, Jasper and Benny. After a turbulent start living on the streets of Romania, then being brought over to the UK for a better life, both boys lacked environmental confidence, displayed excessive vocals in the home and struggled with dog reactivity issues. Tom has helped to improve their behaviour through implementing a behaviour modification plan, educating me as a handler and dog owner along the way too. Have used dogs are us for over 2 years for walking and boarding. She communicates well, always plans a meet and greet before booking a dog in. Messages frequently with updates. Extensive with paperwork due to being fully licensed. Genuinely would recommend her to anyone. My dog absolutely prefers her over me 😂
