Nigel’s bespoke approach totally transformed the way we understand our dog and the easy to follow techniques have led to our dog being much calmer, more content and less anxious. Nigel is clearly an expert at what he does and gave us the tools and language to resolve the issues we were having and we saw almost instant results. Over the weeks the improvements continued and Nigel was there to support us through this process. Meeting with Nigel was amazing! He assessed our young puppy and helped us understand the causes of certain undesirable behaviors and how we should address them. His approach is very intelligent, not just one rule for everything, and he considers the nuances of specific situations as well as our puppy’s individual needs. He’s definitely given us the confidence to train our puppy appropriately, and we’ve already seen incredible improvements in our puppy’s behavior! Nigel was everything his reviews lived up to and more. So we decided to get in touch with Nigel. His approach just immediately felt right. He was professional and nonjudgmental. He knew straight away the things we needed to work on. As he explained his process and guided us through his methods, everything clicked into place. And from that moment on we’ve felt like much better dog owners because of it. When I contacted Nigel I was at the end of myself with Toffee. My Labrador was attacking other dogs and I was scared to leave the house. Nigel came and was a breath of fresh air. He was sensible kind and quite simply his methods work. In 2 lessons toffee was a changed dog and he showed me workable methods to change her behaviour. Our session with Nigel was excellent. We booked him to come and help with our beloved French Bulldogs who have been quite unsettled after a house move and various major shifts in our routine. His approach is smart, straight forward, and based on simple principles which felt intuitive and easy to follow. Beside from all the intriguing theory and animal behaviour psychology, Nigel’s practical approach is excellent. Watching him get our dogs walking at heel, after years of increasingly chaotic lead-pulling, was quite a revelation. And then showing us how to help our dogs stop behaving anxiously and aggressively around noisy appliances was another practical example of how effective his approach is. Had a full groom done today. I usually take my dog to the Richmond branch where Amy is based, but since they were understandably fully booked, I decided to try the Teddington branch. The receptionist was lovely—very warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the groomer. There was little acknowledgment, and rather than asking me about my preferences, she just got the receptionist to read the notes on file and took the lead and walked off. A full groom isn’t a small expense, and when you've experienced Amy’s exceptional service, it becomes clear that the same standard isn't guaranteed at all locations. Moving forward, we'll be sticking with Amy at the Richmond branch—even if it means waiting weeks for an appointment.
Absolutely brilliant experience! The grooming was hands down the best our cat has ever had — far superior to the mobile service we’d used for years. The cut was flawless, and our cat came home relaxed and happy. The shop itself is a treasure trove, with an amazing selection of goodies for both cats and dogs. We couldn’t resist the gorgeous cat cave (see pic!). Big thanks for the warm welcome and great chat from the lovely owner — we’ll definitely be back!
As the doggy mummy of Pablo, a dog who usually dreads the groomer, our experience at Wild Bush Teddington was nothing short of miraculous. The staff were incredibly kind and patient, and Pablo emerged looking fantastic. The real surprise came days later. Pablo, who normally avoids groomers like the plague, skipped right into Wild Bush for treats and hellos! He's never done that before. They've truly transformed his fear into happiness. If your dog gets anxious about grooming, Wild Bush Teddington is an amazing groomers.

My dog is so soft and groomed perfectly. A week later and he's still getting noticed on walks. As soon as we picked him up from the groomer the first family that passed us stopped to comment on how gorgeous he was and they all wanted to touch him, his coat is so shiny. Possibly the best bath and groom he's ever had. He's 7yrs old, and been groomed a lot of places as we travel a lot. We highly recommend this groomer.

Our 7 year old doodle has always been barky but the arrival of a puppy really increased her reactions. It was becoming really really difficult. Nikki helped us to understand what was going on for Lyra and how to start to tackle it and although I was a bit sceptical initially about sessions on zoom, this worked so well. And I didn't have to tidy up which I would have had to for a home visit! Thank you Nikki.
Working with Niki is all about starting from where you and your dog are, and exploring what could be even better. There are no hidden expectations or "should haves"—just a thoughtful focus on what you can offer your dog to make life more enjoyable and enriching for both of you. I’ve learned how to truly live with my dog, without “the walk” having to be the main event of the day. Now, we have so many other ways to stay active and grow together—through games and ACE Free Work—that are easy to integrate into daily life and don’t require a huge time commitment. Even challenges like reactivity are gently and effectively addressed through these activities. It’s been a real game changer.
My anxious puppy LOVES his ACE Free sessions and demands them every evening now. He even goes in his pen to watch while we set up in the room or to wait while we set up outside, then he shoots out like a rocket to see what we have for him today. As he moves his stressy tail comes down, he relaxes a lot and it is helping him generally be calmer. Niki is so supportive and helpful and genuine and ACE Free work is a huge help both for the dog's wellbeing and human observation as well.
We'd highly recommend Niki. She has been instrumental when we rehomed a rescue rottweiler. She helped us build trust with him and help him to get out of his shell. Her calm methods were just the right thing for him. He is a very bright young lad, brilliant at free shaping and learning tricks, but still reactive outside to everything. The no walk method and using his food for training helped improve his behaviour slowly, but we know Niki is there when we are ready for the next step. Thank you!
Highly recommend Niki French Twickenham dog services and pup talk. We have a young and very nervous Lurcher cross pup called Freya. Freya is terrified of alot things such as wind, bins , cars , other dogs and people. We are getting great help from Niki and seeing improvements. Freya is much happier on walks now and we gave games and training to play at home . Niki is a great active listener, gives step by step advice, easy games and videos to help.

Jo, has been walking my cavachon for a few weeks whilst I’ve had pneumonia! My dog comes back so bouncy and happy, eager to eat and rest for a good few hours. Jo offers healing and I’m sure has worked wonders on my dog. Highly recommended and appreciated!

Renato is an incredible dog trainer and is lovely to work with. We started seeing him after moving here from the states with our two rescue dogs, one of whom was really reactive towards other dogs which made walking off lead very hard. Thanks to Renato’s techniques Caesar can now do long walks off lead and confidently interact with and be around other dogs without getting aggressive. We are so grateful. It wasn’t fast or easy, we had to be sure to reinforce what Renato taught us every time we walked them, but after 3 months Caesar is like a different dog. Both our dogs adore Renato and he has also done dog walking and overnight dog sitting for us as needed. I couldn’t recommend him enough!

Renato was recommended to me to help train a seven year old rehomed Japanese Akita/English Bull Terrier cross, who was good-natured, but over enthusiastic and undisciplined, and had chased a horse on Wimbledon Common. Renato worked with Freddie for over a year, calming him down and de-sensitising him to horses. Freddie became the most obedient and controllable dog I have known.
