My Lab loves going to see Jen. She usually boards with Jen one to two days a week and she always comes back very happy. She has also just spent a week with Jen when we were away on holiday and she loved her holiday too. I cant recommend Jen highly enough.
Jen is always a pleasure to deal with and we wouldn’t trust anyone else to look after our dogs. Jen welcomes them into her home as if one of her own. She is very responsive to messages and will do her absolute best to help and accommodate you. If you are looking for a highly knowledgable dog trainer look no further than Jen. Highly recommend!
Jen is an effective, kind, experienced dog trainer who only uses reward based methods. She has helped me enormously with my difficult labradoodle, with weekly training days and a training/boarding stay he has improved hugely. I thoroughly recommend her. Jen will help you get the best from your dog.
Jen from A'paw'lling Behaviour was brilliant. Had a home visit providing guidance and tips to a complete novice owner with a new large 5yr rescue hound/lab crossbreed. Max loved her from the first moment. Very experienced, explains and teaches the owner and the dog. We had now mastered sitting :)
Harley (10 year old Lab) and Ralph (4 year old Cavachon) stayed with Jen for 8 nights as boarders. She is amazing! Harley came back having experienced Reiki and hot pads on his limping leg; Ralph came back with a gold star for 'being calm around small animals' (apparently he helped clean out guinea pigs without shouting!!!). I cannot recommend Jen highly enough. Although I don't want her to become too popular as she won't have room for my pooches :-)

We've had a great time at Acer, our puppy has learnt lots and the trainers have always been really kind and helpful.
We have been doing a 12 week foundation course with Acer gun dogs. Today we passed our field test! It has been an absolutely amazing course, brilliant teachers and is taught in such a good way. I give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if you want to develop a closer bond and understanding with your dog, there is nowhere else to go!
Acer cancelled my course subscription at short notice under a very unconvincing excuse. They are very unprofessional. CORRECTION: I called the owner's (insurance-related) reason given to me for cancelling my subscription "unconvincing". In his reply, the owner states a very different reason. He chose to intervene in a family situation and disrupt an imperfect but a balance nevertheless causing much emotional turmoil. To top it all off, he made public claims about my daughter. She or people who know her are likely to find his post. This is very insensitive to a child. I won't be drawn into discussing very personal and private affairs in public. It's right to keep this 1-star review here. If the attempt at family cancelling by Acer's owner happened to my family, it can happen to others.
Excellent classes. Really recommend them.
We have been training with Acer since our puppy Lola was 8 weeks old and the courses are fantastic. For our most recent courses on the beginner gun dog course we’ve had Nicole and she is just BRILLIANT as a trainer. She has the patience of a saint and will adapt all of her advice to the individual dog. There were times where Lola just didn’t want to do as she was told/was very distracted at the field with all the smells but Nicole always came up with ways to support and help us and never made it seem like an impossible task! The advice is always tailored to you personally and the experiences you’re going through with your own dog. We couldn’t recommend Acer enough!

Absolutely nothing negative to say! We went with some family, dogs, kids and adults! The kids had the best time playing in the pool with the dogs! It was like our own private hour long party! Everyone had a fantastic time and very tired humans and dogs afterwards. Perfect for our dog who is selective with his friends, he could run free swimming and playing ball to his hearts content!
As the weather was too warm for a normal walk, I booked an hour in the secure field with the pool. My dog, Mabel absolutely loved it, we will be back
So nice to have a swimming pool for dogs. Took my puppy there first time swimming felt safe.
Amazing enclosed dog field. Will 100% be returning

I recently took my reactive dog Winnie on one of Suppawt Dog Training’s supported walks, and I couldn’t be more impressed. Winnie struggles particularly with new people, especially men, so I was a little nervous going in. But Dan and his team were absolutely brilliant with him — calm, understanding, and patient every step of the way. It was a huge relief to be around like-minded dog owners who understand that not every dog has an easy ride. The walk was well-organised, pressure-free, and created a really safe space for both dogs and owners. For once, I didn’t feel like I had to explain or apologise for my dog’s behaviour — and that alone was worth it. Thank you Suppawt for making such a positive difference for both of us. We’ll definitely be back!
We had three sessions with Lily to iron out some of the behaviours with our dog that made it difficult for family members who arent dog fans - jumping up, overly excited behaviour and some food stealing from the kids! Its easy to read online advice but it cant compare to actually having someone tailor it to your dog, show you in real life and help you with your attempts. Its already made a difference and I'd definitely recommend!
I attended the recall workshop with my puppy. Lots of great advices! And a nice relaxed atmosphere.
I have been joining the group walks for a few weeks now and they are fantastic. Give brilliant advice, support and great understanding. I have seen a really improvement with my dogs behaviour and couldn't recommend them enough. They are very friendly and welcoming.
Nice and informal, good space for dog training

Grantchester presents unique training requirements shaped by its rural village setting, proximity to Cambridge, and popular walking destinations. Reliable recall and lead manners are essential for safe enjoyment of these beautiful countryside walks.
The area's popularity with Cambridge residents and tourists visiting the famous Orchard Tea Garden and Rupert Brooke connections means dogs must be comfortable around diverse crowds, outdoor dining areas, and busy pathways. Our trainers specialise in creating well-mannered village dogs who can navigate narrow lanes, respond reliably near grazing animals, and behave appropriately in the community spaces that make Grantchester such a special place to live.
Our puppy programmes build foundations for confident village living during the critical 8-16 week period. We introduce young dogs to Grantchester's environment including farm animals, river wildlife, cyclists on narrow paths, and the village's characteristic sounds. Training covers recall, lead walking on country lanes, and appropriate behaviour around livestock, creating well-adjusted rural dogs from the start.
Given Grantchester's rural setting with grazing meadows and nearby farmland, we specialise in developing bombproof recall and livestock awareness. Dogs learn to respond immediately despite distractions from sheep, cattle, and horses encountered on village walks. This training is essential for responsible countryside access and ensures your dog can safely enjoy Grantchester's beautiful open spaces.
Dog training in Grantchester and South Cambridgeshire typically ranges from £45-70 per hour for private sessions. Package deals for 6-week programmes average £300-450, offering better value.
