Had my first session with Forrest who worked with my 9 month old Doberdor. She engaged with him and I saw his leash walking progress there and then. Forrest gave me the tools that I needed to understand the way my dog thinks and I continued with her advice and techniques. Just two days after our session I was able to take my dog for a walk with him walking beside me without the need for his harness. I highly recommend Forrest!
Forrest came out to work with us and our 10-month-old puppy, Doug, who we’d been having a few challenges with. She took the time to discuss Doug’s behaviour and listen to my concerns. Throughout the session, Doug was completely engaged and seemed to have really clicked with Forrest. You can tell Forrest has extensive knowledge and her clear explanations made it easy for me to understand what to do. She took the time to answer any questions. Thank you so much Forrest for your guidance and advice! :)
Absolutely Brilliant, really knowledge, friendly and helpful Thanks again see you soon
Forrest is amazing with the help and support she has given in the first session. Given us something to work on before booking another session Thank you
Forrest visited our home and met Solomon our 9 month old Gerberian Shepsky. We asked for help with his nipping/mouthing/lead biting and various other things. Forrest listened and asked lots of questions about Solomon She really understood him and how to get the best out of our pup. We've been shown games to play to reduce the unwanted behaviour and so far so good. Forrest is coming for a walk with us next time to work on things like lunging and pulling. I know she'll have great advice and she'll be good company at the same time. She is a doggy genius!

Finding trusted dog trainers in Bradmore means connecting with professionals who understand the unique character of this charming Nottinghamshire village. Located just southwest of Nottingham city centre, Bradmore offers a peaceful rural setting with excellent walking routes and open countryside, creating ideal conditions for comprehensive dog training programmes that emphasise recall, obedience, and countryside manners.
Our experienced trainers serve Bradmore and surrounding areas including Bunny, Ruddington, and Keyworth, delivering personalised training solutions for puppies, adolescent dogs, and adults. With deep knowledge of local footpaths, bridleways, and the specific challenges of village living where dogs encounter livestock, wildlife, and narrow lanes, we've successfully trained over 450 dogs in the area during the past eight years.
Bradmore's rural village setting presents distinct training requirements compared to urban environments. Dogs living here need reliable recall in open fields, appropriate behaviour around livestock on surrounding farmland, and calm responses to horses, cyclists, and farm machinery on quiet country lanes. The village's proximity to Nottingham means many dogs also need confidence in busier environments when visiting the city.
Local walking routes through the surrounding countryside provide excellent real-world training environments, while the tight-knit village community means well-behaved dogs are essential for maintaining harmonious relationships with neighbours. Our trainers understand these specific needs, delivering programmes that create confident, responsive dogs suited to both village life and occasional urban excursions.
Our specialist recall training develops rock-solid responses essential for safe countryside walks. We focus on building reliable recall despite distractions including rabbits, deer, and other dogs, using Bradmore's surrounding fields and footpaths as real-world training grounds. This training ensures your dog returns immediately even when exploring open spaces, providing peace of mind and freedom for both you and your companion.
Living in agricultural surroundings requires dogs to behave appropriately around sheep, cattle, and horses. Our livestock awareness programmes teach dogs to remain calm and under control near farm animals, preventing dangerous chasing behaviours. This training protects local livestock, keeps your dog safe, and ensures you can confidently use public footpaths crossing farmland around Bradmore, Bunny, and neighbouring villages.
Our puppy programmes establish essential skills during the critical early development period. We introduce young dogs to village life systematically, including quiet lanes, farm animals from safe distances, and appropriate socialisation with other dogs. Training covers house training, basic commands, and building confidence in various environments, creating well-adjusted village dogs from the start.
Dog training in Bradmore and surrounding Nottinghamshire villages typically ranges from £35-65 per hour for private sessions. Comprehensive packages covering 6-8 weeks average £250-450, while group classes cost £10-18 per session. Specialist countryside training including livestock awareness may cost £50-75 per session, reflecting the specialized nature and location-based training requirements.
Yes, livestock safety training is essential for dogs living in Bradmore and surrounding rural areas. Our programmes teach dogs to remain calm and responsive near sheep, cattle, and horses through controlled exposure and positive reinforcement. Most dogs develop reliable livestock-safe behaviour within 4-8 training sessions, though this varies based on the individual dog's temperament and previous experiences around farm animals.
Begin training immediately when bringing your puppy home at around 8 weeks old. Early exposure to village life, country sounds, and controlled introductions to livestock from safe distances during the 8-16 week socialisation window creates confident, well-adjusted dogs. Puppies can join group classes after initial vaccinations at approximately 10-12 weeks, though private training can start from day one.
Professional dog training in Bradmore creates companions perfectly suited to village living, combining countryside confidence with excellent manners. Our local expertise and understanding of rural challenges ensure your dog thrives in this beautiful Nottinghamshire setting. Contact us today to schedule your consultation and start building the well-trained, reliable companion you've always wanted for life in Bradmore and the surrounding countryside.
