Mark has been working with my dog over the past few months on his behaviour, lead walking and recall. We have noticed such a difference in Mikey since starting our training block and the information and techniques Mark has given us has been so useful! Cant thank you enough Mark!
Couldn’t recommend Mark enough! Have been taking our 6 month old Border Collie puppy from 14 weeks and it has been a game changer. We went for the Puppy Development Pack and it’s been great for Fig. What’s great about Mark is that he will listen and focus on what is important for you and what you would like out of the sessions. Sessions are spread out at recommended intervals which were super accurate. By the time your next one came round you had bits to work on and at no point felt forced into too regular sessions. We had never planned on taking our first dog to a trainer but it’s been the best decision we made. Also, Mark is genuinely one of the nicest guys which really helps to make sessions enjoyable for dog & owner.
Mark has been the best thing for our boy Frank. We've been going to him since Frank was 14 weeks old and hes now 9 months. Mark helped us with issues like resource guarding and pulling on the lead. He's taught us so much from basic commands to structured play and target work. I cant recommend Mark enough and neither can Frank! He's an amazing dog trainer and owner trainer!
Marks knowledge & expertise is second to none. We’ve throughly enjoyed working with him for the past few months. He genuinely wants you & your dog to succeed during each training session & sets you both up for success. Thanks for all your help & support, we’ll definitely be back in the future for some fine tuning/pack walks!
Can't recommend Mark enough! Me, my partner and our 11 month old lurcher Kodi, have been working with him since February. We were looking for some guidance with typical puppy behaviour and that's exactly what we got. Kodi absolutely loves his 1 to 1 sessions with Mark and with his help he's continuing to learn and improve.

Really helps dog anxiety
We were having problems with Benji resource guarding (stolen items) and contacted Jim for assistance. Jim has a great way with dogs and Benji just loved him. We were given advice and techniques to try and Benji's behaviour has improved and continues to do so. Would be happy to recommend Jim to anyone experiencing difficulty with their dog's behaviour.
I cannot recommend Jim Gillies enough. I contacted Jim about my Yorkshire terrier Milly, Several behavioural issues, reactive , resource guarding, pulling on the lead, bullying our older dog. I didn’t have much hope for milly in the beginning as she’s extremely fearful of noise, people and dogs, milly was not socialised as a puppy this created our problems. We can feel guilty to a point however contacting Jim has brought so much enjoyment to milly & ourselves seeing the incredible changes. Jim is incredibly knowledgeable, Milly took to Jim straight away which was unusual for us as she would not do this with anyone else. Jim set a plan out, with patience and perseverance Milly loves meeting new people, learnt to interact more on her walks. Friendly towards some dogs learning her way in this world and that’s ok. Gets into her own bed at night with rules in place. Looks for approval. Loves visitors. Milly has recently been able to walk on her daily routine meeting new pals and not attacking them. Jim introduced us to the long training lead, this has been life changing for us & millys confidence. Trust Jim trust the process the results are phenomenal. Jim was highly recommended to me by my Vets. Thankyou Jim :)
I had such a great experience with Jim! He helped me with my reactive dog, Rusty, and I couldn’t be more grateful. Jim is incredibly knowledgeable and clearly understands dog behaviour inside out. His advice was practical, easy to follow, and made so much sense. He was calm, professional, and really reassuring — I felt like we were in safe hands from the moment he arrived. We've already seen a big improvement in Rusty’s behaviour, and it’s made such a positive difference at home. I’d 100% recommend Jim to anyone needing support with their dog!
Jim has provided us with exceptionally useful help in managing some issues with our Airedale Terrier puppy, Wallace. From the minute we met with Jim he gave us great confidence that he could help us - his rewards-based training has made a great difference to us and our dog. Walks are now a pleasure, incessant barking is gone, and Wallace's recall is improving all the time. Jim is extremely patient and his instructions very clear, so we were in doubt as to what we should be doing. He also provided very helpful tips on useful enrichment activities, and his online training videos are excellent. I can recommend Jim wholeheartedly for anyone seeking help with dog training or behaviour.

We’ve been having sessions with Jill since we got our puppy at 4 months old (she’s now 10 months) and she’s absolutely brilliant. She’s knowledgeable and patient and doesn’t make you feel like an idiot for not knowing everything. She also has her own experiences of dogs with challenges and so you feel like it’s normal and you haven’t accidentally adopted Kujo… Highly recommend her.
The investment that keeps on giving. Having a couple of 121 sessions with Jill has been a gamechanger. My expectation was we’d hopefully come away with some techniques to manage my puppy’s chasing drive (of cars/cyclists/runners) but I learnt an incredible amount about my dog, his drives (herding behaviour) and how to manage him. I understand him a lot better now which has help build our trust, recall and management. Jill trained me and not the dog which has really grown my confidence. My stress on walks is so much lower as I feel i’ve got a way to manage and control Rufus now. We’ve also got lots of games to play both as ongoing homework but that also help us bond. There’s no doubt I’ll be calling on Jill again once Rufus is a little more grown up and if we need any help.
We have been doing online classes since lockdown. And with Jill we both really find them fun and if he could he would log on and do them all the time. As my dog has got older I have found them also good for helping him move and use muscles in ways he would not normally do on just his walks. Which also helps build and keep his confidence. And after class you will find him on the sofa on his back, paws in the air snoring his head off 💤 🐾.
Eilidh and I are really enjoying Jill's on-line 'Do more' classes. The exercises move at a pace appropriate for each dog and build on previously learned skills. Jill's insight and advice during the exercises is so helpful to ensure we get the most out of each session. Just as important, Eilidh loves her learning and I love helping her learn new skills.
My dog and I love Jill's classes. The online format is so convenient and Jill is so positive and helpful. I cannot recommend them enough!

I called upon the help of Glasgow Dog Trainer and Behaviourist as I was struggling with my 1 year old Maltese puppy, Zak. He was very reactive towards larger dogs on a walk. I was worried for him and it was beyond me how to help him as id used YouTube, books and other behaviourists with zero success. I didnt want to give up on him. My first meeting was with Helen. She taught me how to hold the lead, how to be more relaxed on a walk. How to use various techniques with him. Including how to do the pairing technique with him, which works a treat. Helen came to my home also, showed me how to do the relaxation training with him. He got 10/10. We still do this. He has surprised me how well he is doing and how focused he is whilst doing it. All the information and changes in place now are 100% working for him. If you are ever in any kind of doubt about your dogs behavior or worried in any way, I highly recommend using Helen. She has changed my life for the better and im no doubt she has also changed Zaks life too. Him and his brother love this walks. And now, so do I. Thank you so much Helen. I don't know how to thank you. Katie, Daz and Zak.
Helen has been working with us and our now 2 year old border collie for the past few months. We have had a few park sessions and a house session and the change in Frankie has been wonderful. Helen has been very patient with the 3 of us and is always at the end of a message with advice and feedback between sessions too. Her understanding of Frankie is unreal and her way of supporting us to get the best out of him has been great. At home frankie is much more relaxed. We even mamaged to watch a full football match with him asleep at our feet for the 1st time in 18 months as usually he would have been jumping at the tv. We managed a trip to arran and back with him on the ferry in the dog lounge where he managed to relax with all the other dogs about. Then the highlight was him settling to sleep under the table in the middle of a busy restaurant. Something that 6 months ago none of these ever felt possible. So its been lovely to see his and our world expanding. We have even had a stranger in the park say how well trained our dog is, is there a bigger compliment! We can't wait to see what all we can achieve with Helen by our side. And frankie at our feet.
I have had the pleasure of attending Helen Hutchinson’s teaching seminars and am grateful to be the recipient of her ongoing support. I have practised and applied her teachings to great effect. I wholeheartedly recommend Helen to anyone wishing to live in harmony with their dog—or dogs—and to those seeking a deeper understanding of, and clearer communication with, the dogs in their care. This includes trainers, foster carers, and dog walkers. Helen’s knowledge and experience are extensive, and she shares them in a way that naturally earns respect. She is calm, quiet, and strong—all at once. You can be confident that you will not only benefit from her teachings, but that, when applied, every dog in your life will too.
I rehomed a tricky reactive adolescent dog last year. I worked really hard with him to discover and meet his needs. There was a big change in him, but he remained very reactive to dogs (in an excited frustrated way). Thanks to John’s help over a few in person sessions, we have both made lots of progress. He is also much less barky! All done in a positive way. I often felt I had one dog in the house and another when I left the house. I’m pleased to say this is no longer the case. Thanks John and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you.
Great first session with John. He helped me realise that my dog and I had been speeding each other up and really needed to slow down - which is helping us both when we're out. He was super calm with my 15 month old pup and it also helped with my confidence as well. Highly recommend.
